SoilGirl's Soil Multi-Strain Grow Journal 2014

one recreational shop in washington is selling 2 gram bags at 42.06 cents.

they had roughly 1250 bags they told me of the 2grams being sold at 42.06 and that they hoped to sell out by the end of the night.

they got those 1250 bags in the morning and stayed open till they are forced to close and they sold every bag on top of other merchandise. that is around 56,000 dollars just from one shop.

42.06 (2 grams) x 14 = 588.84 a ounce.

Wow... that's almost criminal to me, but I guess its good for the caregivers. The ugly face of capitalism rears once more. :lot-o-toke:
When will free market pricing start to drop to something reasonable?
As soon as the demand is supplied for more evenly, when other states start legalizing recreational cannabis usage, or at least make medical cannabis more accessible...
...could be a long time >.<

Thats why I'm just going to grow my own.
Hopefully be able to move to CO in 3 years...if not sooner.

Well they want to make medical patients grow 6 plants instead of the 15 allowed now, which will make medical prices go from 5-10$ grams up to 12-15$ grams (some shops already charge that and tax, medical cant tax people..) and kill off 1/2 the medical shops. in my opinion isnt a bad thing, but 6 plants and they expect us to yield 3 oz.. thats half oz a plant, good luck only getting that.

No caregivers. thats recreation i was talking about. us caregivers charge 5-10$ per gram and oz ranging from 150-200.
Still while recreation is well over double our prices. i believe thats why washington is trying to kill medical all together.

Ugh see that's what disappoints me, as much as I'm sure you'd love Colorado, its a great place with a lot of good policies (and still many bad) and we'd love to have you, but it kills me that people have to pack up their lives and come here just because once you cross that imaginary state line you can legally grow and use your medicine and not have to risk getting locked up and labeled. I want to think humanity is better than that but ... grr. Humanity is slow and change-fearing, and even more easily brainwashed.
That said I hope you can either get legal access in your current home soon or you can make it here and be happy and healthy :)

Just about all store are cash cropping grows and putting out garbage cannabis. Thats my 2 cents. Sorry I saw the email alert and people are just throwing money at low grade garbage. I will save the rest of my rant for my No b.s part 2 video lol. Anyways I hope all is well with your plants and I wish you the best as always SoilGirl. Co Finest checking in and im out...:bong::winkyface:

Thanks.
I figure if it hasn't become legal in my state by the 2016 election season...by then My home equity loan and Mortgage will be paid off.
(and I doubt my state will legalized anytime in the next 2 decades).

Wow those rules are draconian.. Colorado is doing so much better... IDK why Washington can't go with a model more like here, 6 plants per signed caretaker for medical. IDK about the rules for how many plants can be grown for recreational dispensaries here, I bet its a whole crapfest of its own. Yeah I misspoke, I didn't mean caregivers, meant those who are supplying the rec. My views led to that misspeak, as I see anyone who supplies good quality cannabis as a caregiver.

Definitely agreed Colorado's Finest. I'm looking even more forward to your No BS part 2 YT video now lol. Thanks! All's well in the yard today. It's a treat every time you drop by, I know you're as busy as they get here. :thanks::passitleft:
Thanks.

Sorry to hear that about your state, I'm guessing it's somewhere in the south, we all know there's much removal of head-from-arse needed down there, I lived in DFW, TX for a while growing up, opened my eyes to a lot of ignorance..
Well best wishes on the long journey to freedom! :hippy:

Going to update in a bit today, will either be my last or second to last update before my trip to Denver. Thanks for coming by and tolerating my eclectic ramblings! :hippy:

Awesome.. Welcome Graytail!! I saw you in the running for MOTM last month and someone sang your praises very highly! I'm sure you deserve them, I'll be sure to check out your most recent journal soon, I got sidetracked from my update today but will have it soon, gonna go out for pics right after this. :Namaste::passitleft:
Just wanted to say that I am subscribed and have been for awhile. I Just learned how to subscribe without commenting a few days ago.
Things are looking good with your plants, keep up the good work. Enjoy your trip and I'm sure you've made plans for your ladies so don't stress about them too much.
I've noticed some of your 'likes', no worries, I've done that a bunch before I could get caught up, following everyone's grow journals here is actually a lot to do, makes me respect people like KJC even more to see him everywhere I go, so far I think I'm subbed to 54 journals Lol. :Namaste:
Thanks so much for the kind words, I'll try not to stress too much. I only am worried about my Dad, he had a serious work injury that left him partially disabled, still is on seizure and blood clot meds, not to mention the back injury and head trauma that leaves him with varying degrees of ...well cognitive function. Has a hard time remembering things as simple as "turn off the stove", "water the plants" or "take your medicine." and even talking can throw him for a loop. It's why I can't wait to get a decent CBD strain going to help with all those things, CBD truly is a miracle medicine for people with seizures and head trauma, not to mention chronic pain.
Hope everything is green in your neck of the woods, much love Mr. Mike T Bob :) :rollit:

Update Time! :cheertwo::circle-of-love:

So today isn't a day to be outside without bug spray, I just took a shower before going out and I didn't want to get covered in that nasty sh*t right after a shower, so I took my pics pretty quickly. They may not be the bees knees but they'll get the point across I think.

Well on to the pics, here are my little baby Lucy clones, (UKH2) along with Black Bubba Kush, finally looking spry again behind them. That FIM was poorly done and stunted growth, I'm guessing I got a little cut-happy and did it too soon. The lower growth has definitely picked up some sun after side-LSTing her (still hoping) and the top growth it getting back to normal. I may still end up with 2 or 3 tops because the nodes just below the cut have caught up with the top growth and may get even taller.

Also, oddly enough, I think ONE of the 2 baby Lucy clones is flowering, and the other is not. One has noticeable pistils at the top, the other doesn't, and the one that does I think added two overnight..... goes to show that flowering outdoors is a very complicated and largely unpredictable phenomenon. I may add pics later of this since I failed to take them.

Now, my medium sized Lucy clone, sorry for the low quality pic the wind gusted apparently.

20140805_135504.jpg

And my medium sized UKH1 clone, loving the sun.

Euphoria, quickly becoming one of my favorites because of her (please, please be a girl) outstanding vigor and resilience. That side LST made a huge difference for her, the low growth just took off and she's looking more like a bush every day. I expect to get some nice colas off this one. Her 4 perfect tops from that FIM are doing great, starting to really take off noticeably every day. I'm wondering when flowering will set in.

Now lets take a peak at big UKH1, leaves marred with ugly housefly spittle. Besides that initial gross factor, it doesn't seem to be harming my plants, so I'm not going to freak out about it, though I will be adding some sticky paper soon just for revenge. Muhahahaha. :battingeyelashes:

And now a quick clone update. All looking nice and green, beginning of roots forming, I can even hold up my UKH1 reveg clone by the stem now without the cube slipping away, definitely gonna see some roots peak out soon.

Alrighty,:420::Love: this update is finito. :thankyou: for stopping by, any comments or questions I'll get back to as soon as possible, keep your thumbs green, your pipes smoking, your vapes blowing, your brownies baking and your joints rolling until next time!

So for some extra info, since halving the General Organics line nutes from their rec'd regimen, and not touching pH anymore, all plants have shown marked improvement. I'm following their regimen to the T besides halving the dose. My Euphoria, BBK, and UKH1 and UKH2 clones have all been getting the full treatment, whereas Juicy Lucy (big UKH2) and big UKH1, both only started getting GO nutes when they started flowering. The young'uns that have had it their whole life, are definitely loving me for the nice vegan nutes, despite that they all have more compost and more local nutrient rich soil in their mixes than either of the old girls. So my conclusion from this is the GO line nutes help stimulate growth even from the earliest age, even in nutrient rich soil, probably helping moderately make the nutrients that are already there more available over time on top of providing supplemental nutrition, some readily available for uptake. I'm really enjoying the GO line.

Short update today, I've been noticing some issues in the newer fan leaves on my big UKH1 plant. :( It sort of looks like a phosphorous def to me, but I think it could also be from lockout/pH fluctuation/nute burn. So the background to this problem is I'm not so sure the drizzle a week or so ago flushed the plant as much as I might've liked it to. Since the other nute burn I saw on her, affecting the lower fan leaves, I've been giving her half strength on the General Organics rec'd regimen, every other watering. Between feedings I've been giving it just clean rainwater at about 7.0 pH. But what I noticed is when feeding it with the GO nutes, the pH is REALLY low pre-watering... I adjust it with a lot of pH up, but even after about 40-50 drops of pH up per gallon or 2, the pH is still between 5.0 and 6.0, so I just leave it at that, since I don't trust adding too much pH up to any feeding... I'm scared that adjusting it too much with the added nutes might be the cause of the problem? idk... I'd really appreciate any advice I get. Here's some pics of the issue, I removed most of the affected leaves but I'll leave some on to keep an eye on it.

Here's big UKH1 overall, today my mom and I were bending all the new growth little fan's down at bud sites on all my plants per Light Addict's style to try and encourage tight bud formations.

20140727_135416.jpg

Here's Juicy Lucy, aka big UKH2, she looks really healthy actually, despite getting the same waterings every time as big UKH1.

20140727_135318.jpg

Here's my two youngest clones (of UKH2) looking a lot better after their early wilting from too much sun/heat. They get direct sunlight in the morning now, but I move them under shade for the hotter afternoons.

20140727_135304.jpg

and here's a family photo of my other 4 plants, BBK is in the white/grey pot in the middle. Euphoria is to its left, my middle-sized UKH2 clone is behind BBK, and to BBK's right is my mid-sized UKH1 clone. All looking pretty good. I ended up fimming BBK and EUP again because EUP's fim didn't take and I don't want them getting too tall.

20140727_135426.jpg

Thanks for following, and any advice given! :Namaste:

Edit: Oh and remember that mutant leaf on my mid-sized UKH2 clone? well the attached stalk on it kept growing...and the fim actually gave me 3 tops instead of the 2 I suspected, it just needed a little extra time because I cut it close. So both fims on my midsized clones gave me 3 tops! yay :)

I'm playing catch up today so I thought I'd pop in on one of my favourite journals and see whats happenin. I love how your short updates makes my average update in desperate need for a name change.. a smurf update? :P

I thought I'd share this lil tidbit of knowledge from my mental library. If you ever run out of pH up you can use Baking soda as a substitute and if for whatever reason you need pH down any old lemon or lime will do you justice. I know this is somewhat not entirely related to your update but the thought popped in my head and I felt compelled to share :)

In terms of an opinion about what the issue may be and what the solution is.. I'm in between two things pH and maybe nute def or blockout. By that I mean you may want to consider reducing the amount of pH. I use General Organics. I'll be doing a video today explaining a little bit about my indoor organic hydro system and how it works. It will be attached to my "Growlow's 1st journal". I'll explain a bit about my approach to feeding and pH. With all that said your plants are gorgeous and maybe the best solution for now would to just feed water back to back or maybe feed with water then next feed water with a greater diluted solution of your nutes. Though I'm thinking your problem is with the pH up.

LOL, loved that response Growlow. :circle-of-love: I don't have tons of time right now, got a lot to do here before my trip in a few days, but let it be known that everyone who has posted here and I haven't gotten to your journals yet, I most definitely will. LOL, the problem with the lens were those dang white chairs and the sun, and the occasional camera lens sweaty-finger-smear. Thank you for bringing a touch of good 'ol Teddy humor to my yard, every word is appreciated, I'm so glad you stopped by. :high-five::Namaste:

I'm glad it was warmly received :) Don't worry about it mate. Though when you do get round to it you can enjoy it a bit more now as I just added some video updates. Downside my hands are shaking like a rabbit is humping my forearm and it sounds like I'm talking through a mega speaker... I just have a loud voice I can't help it :tokin: So keep the volume down as a heads up!
