QUICK UPDATE - BIG BAND GERMINATION!

Well, I really didn't think she was gonna germinate, but after 24 hours of soaking, we have a VERY small taproot! :yahoo:

I'm gonna let it soak just a little longer, then she's going into a Rapid Rooter:

She's in a Rapid Rooter now, so we'll see if we can get her to push her way into the world. I should know more in a few days!

Hey Brother, I would have given you a "Like" on that post, but I didn't want to like the fact that you're forced to take a LONG period of time off from the hobby we all love so much. So, I just gave you some +REPS for doing what ya' gotta do to deal with it.

Also, I think it's great that you're sticking around and helping the other growers. I was tempted to type "Twelve12" in a bunch of journals just to keep you busy! :rofl:
 
WEEKEND PIC UPDATE

Happy weekend, everyone! And, Happy Good Friday, Easter, Passover, and anything else I may have missed!

First, let's start this weeks upate with the harvest report on the last four plants. I harvested (1) Pineapple Express, (1) Power Skunk, and (2) Lucy plants earlier this week and the buds are just about in the "cure zone" at 66% RH.

The dry weights revealed I was correct in my guess that the Power Skunk would produce significantly less than the other two strains, in spite of her taller height.

Here's how the final numbers worked out:


Lucy #1: 13.5" tall & 11.2g
Lucy #2: 13.0" tall & 10.6g
Pineapple Express: 12" tall & 13.6g
Power Skunk: 15" tall & 9.6g

TOTAL WEIGHT: 45g

It worthy to note that, not only was the tallest plant the one with the lowest weight, but the Pineapple Express was the shortest and had the most weight.

In every other respect, the Power Skunk is an AWESOME strain. It looks, smells & smokes like the superior meds that she is, but this is why I'm going to replace her with the Big Bang.

Thanks, Bro! I love Lucy, too, but I have to admit, the Pineapple Express is still my favorite! :Love:

I've been smoking my last fully cured PE bud for the last three days now. It's been curing for just over 3 months and was one of the "Glengarry" (primo) buds.

The smell has transformed to this mellow fuity smell that is just fantastic and one or two hits every few hours is all that's needed for a full day of enjoyment! :grinjoint:

Unfortunately, I was so anxious to have the Lucy and Power Skunk, I grew very little PE this round. Out of the next twelve plants to be harvested, TEN are Power Skunks (great buds, but low yields) and the other two will be PE's, then it's a bunch of Lucy with a couple of PE, but that mix is definately gonna change soon.

In fact, my latest plan, which of course is subject to change, is to flower out the Power Skunk bonsai mom to make room for what will hopefully be a "Big Bang Bonsai" (try saying that three times quick! :)).

And, I'm gonna flower out one of the two Lucy Bonsais (probably the first) along with it to make room for another PE Bonsai to help bump the PE production.

I'll still grow some Lucy, but if I was only smoking fully cured PE buds for a while, I'd be a pretty happy guy! :)
