SmokinRasta - Blue Sunset Sherbert (Barney's Farm) & Girl Scout Cookies (Zamnesia)

07/06/24

They are two weeks in bloom period now. Today I switched over to CANNA Terra Flores.
I gave 'em 6l of 2.2ec. PH went down to 6.2! I never thought this might happen! I had no options to choose, so I fed 'em at that PH. Never needed PH up during vegi... I will have to order some PH up. Glad I didn't order my Cannazym yet.

Yesterday I played with my fans and finally replaced them. Now one blowing from the upper corner and the other one is placed in the bottom corner. I reached now a humidity of mid 50s instead 60s before.
The plants looked like they loved it - even if they were that close at the lamp. They all showed praying leafs cause they were that satisfied!

This "morning" I had to raise the lamp, cause they are still stretching!!! and almost touching the lamp!

Look at the different leafs before and after feeding them!

looks like they love the new bloom nutes!
But I will definatley have to raise the Cookies. They are still stretching, but much more I can't expect I guess...

I think until the Sherberts don't don't show any heat/ light problems and the Cookies are still growing nice ther is no need to act. - Or do you think I'm wrong and should raise them as soon as possible? 🤔

Yesterday I fed 'em with 8l nutes (1.5 EC, 6,45 PH). They took it without showing any drain!
The last days were very hot, so I reached 28/29°C in my tent!

Today when the lights went on I was astonished: They showed a great grow, even the side shoots are comming up great and filled the spots in the tent. The two largest Blue Sunset Sherbert are reaching 80cm/31", while the largest Girl Scout Cookies in the upper left is at 55cm/22".
Crayziest thing: They were thirsty again!!! The soil was totally dryed. I couldn't believe it, but probably it's caused by the temperature and their growth.

I decided to feed them with 4l again and mixed the nutrients. But then I did a mistake with my stoned brain... :Rasta:I tried to regulate the PH down. I landed at 6.2 aand didn't feel well with it, so I wanted to raise it with PH up. I grabbed a bottle and after adding and checking the PH I was shocked! I landed at 5,2!!! - Then I had to realize that I used PH down growth and actually I don't even own any PH up...:lot-o-toke::thumb::thanks:
So I had to use some tab water... landed with 6,5l at 6.4PH and 1.2EC.
They took it all, with just a little drain this time. - but probably it was caused of my watering style. I did't do it as slowly as I use to to do usually.

I' not really sure how I should handle my vacation next week! I will have to leave town for about a week!
Any ideas? - my plan so far is to water them as much as they can take the days before I'm leaving os that they will hopefully survive without me! At least the temperatures will drop about 10° next week.

well, let`s try to say it this way....

I have the feeling that I can't overwater 'em!
Even if I do and have a drain and a resulting puddle in the box, it's no prob! Looks like they love it and take it as a reservoir with their long roots during the day.
Most times it's even sucked out within a few hrs!:thumb:

I really like your light set up. The plants are looking super! Welcome back to the grow show, 16 years is a long time, it looks tho as if you never forgot how to grow.
💚💚💚

Thank you! - I have to look up for the pictures.... you won't believe it. PH, EC, temps and humidity.... I didin't even care about. Had three lamps just burning my stuff... - once I even forgot that I had 'em in the cellar and never watered them till they all died.... - I tell ya, that were crazy times lol :ganjamon: :smokin:

... that was the onliest reason, and cause of the availability of lamps (caused by legalization), that I went this way. But actually I'm just looking for a nice LED. Just don't know which one to choose!
A friend of mine tries to tell me 2x 100w would be enough for my 1x1x2 m grow box, but I got the feeling I should better go direction 275-300w for my three plants in future...

If you have any suggestions, feel free to give me advices!:nomo:

...and sorry for the lights! - My fried asked me already if I use any filter with my cam, but it is just the HPS lamp. My phone only takes clear pictures if I set the zoom to 0.5...

You're absolute on your feelings. A 100w or 2 is okish, however, if you can splurge on a 300w then do it. Make sure it has a dim switch too because that comes in handy. Allows you to set up and control the DLI+ and all the other light schizms without having to raise and lower the light unit often. "Just set it and forget it" 😇 you will definitely be glad you went with a higher watt light than trying to make up for lost amp in the end.

that are my thoughts too!
he ment because of the efficiency.... watt/ earnings - but I'm the same opinion with you!

The Sherbertrs are growing crazy! They are at 127cm/ 50"!!!
The largest Coockie is at 95cm/37.4", smalest at 75cm/29.5".

I`m happy they don't show any problems cause of their size and the light!

They do get each 1l a day of nutes atm and grow as hell! I cutted off a ton of leafs agib today! Do that almost every second....

I was not in town for 3 days!
Day before I left, I fed 'em with 8l nutes and decided to start adding the PK 13/14 too.

Looks like they loved it!
They looked great today when I returned and opened the tent!
Both strains are supposed to be in flower for about 8 to 9 weeks - I'm at week three now.

They look happy.

Thank you! - And I'm happy too that they are!
I was so affraid that the giant Sherberts will get burned cause of their size, but for any reason they don't show any problems. It even seems to me like the love it...

Yesterday I noticed a nute burn on the smales Cookie (first row left). So I decided to stop the PK 13/14 and just take the std nutes, besides on that little lady. I gave her only water.

Took off the damaged leafs and today she was looking way better. - But I noticed it even a little at one of the Sherberts. So I decided to give 'em only a shot of 6.4 PH water with MONO Mg.

They are just gettig 6.5ph water with MONO Mg for four days now. They are looking good, don't see any new signs.
I just gave 'em 4l a day. Tomorrow I will start with the nutes again, but without the PK 13/14.

Today I noticed that the first brown pistels on the Blue Sunset Sherbert!

I started feeding them without the PK 13/14 day before yesterday.
Yesterday I noticed that the smalest Cookie (1. row left) still shows bad nute burns! But it's just on her! - So I decided to give her a solo treatment and feed her only with ph regulated water with MONO Mg. I will do this until weekend I guess.

I changed the way to water them too. I only feed 'em with about 0,75l/ plant for two days in a row. Then I don't water 'em for a day and after that I start with two days feeding again. The whole process takes between 15 - 60 min, depends on my time.

I had to do some changes, cause we have very high temperatures mixed with very rainy thunderstorms atm. So I had the problem that my room had already 72% at 24.5°C and in the box I had up to 29°C and 70s too! - There was no way to regulate is with the fans, venting the box or the room... - it was just terrible to see 'em running at night times with 70%...
I changed the air inlets. Removed them all besides the one on the downer right side. That helped at least to get under the rooms humidity.

Today the weather is better. Not that hot but some rain. - At least the humidity is way better and I got 50% now at 26° in my box.

You can't believe how crazy that shit drove me! I was so affraid to get a mold problem next!
I checked the babes every day but could find any signs of it.

They are showing more and more brown pistels.
8 - 9 weeks flowering time says the breeder... - so probably should be around 08/17-24
