Smokerjoes 2nd Journal

Oh Ive cloned before but I still certainly will check it out. I love seeing peoples techniques and the subtle ways they differ.

ive never had Caterpillar but Im sure washing will rinse them out of your buds and is why I asked if you have done that yet.

Washing does not effectively remove active caterpillars which cling to the inner epidermal tissues, it also does not effectively remove the stationary cacoons.

But it DOES remove the fecal matter which is otherwise impossible to effectively remove.

So it has it's pluses and minues.

I go gently through each part of the bud looking for them, I use my little ice-pick to carefully remove them without causing damage to the bud or killing it in the bud, all that remains after that is the fecal matter.

Well there you go sounds like a plan. I guess thats one benefit of growing indoors. Dont have to deal with all manner of pests just a select few.

Hello everyone. Today as I was going through the apartment getting out various supplies that will be needed soon I found a purple bag. One of those royal crown bags with the draw string. I opened it not knowing what I would find and inside was a old bowl(not mine) that looks really cool. It looks like a witches hat or something. Also inside the royal crown bag was a novelty container the size of a tube of lipstick. I opened the container because I shook it and heard something inside. Well inside happened to be a cellophane wrap from a pack of cigarettes and 5 roaches. As I sit here smoking these roaches I realize they are the pineapple express I gave my gf before we were dating which would of been over 3 years ago. I thought it was a nice surprise and wanted to share it with you all.

In other news on to my plants. Well what can I say really? The light cycle I suggested and used has so far produced wonderful results and given more time in veg I feel the results will only get better as the plants root system expands so will the potential for this light cycle. Unfortunately since I didnt have enough and couldnt afford more new bags of dirt most of my plants were planted in dirt from my last grow. I Felt they would be fine and they would of been had I not forgot how much nutrients I was pushing at the end of my last grow and the subsequent added nutrients contained within that soil. If I had remembered that then I could of been leaching my soil before any plants were there and had it ready. Since I had forgot that key little piece of information I have a few not so good looking plants. Now I suspect I had reacted in time while spending hours looking for my water ph meter(looking for that meter is how I found the pineapple xpress) The 2 worst plants are sitting in the tub draining out before I put them under the lights to dry only to do it 1 more time unless the improvement dictates I wont have to. After those 2 go back under the lights then 2 more will go into the tub to receive the same treatment.

2 babies were lost but that is because they were to weak I so I pulled them. They just werent growing at all they were getting their first set of single bladed leaf still while the others were on nodes 6 or 7. Maybe it is better this way so there is more room for these other plants. The phulbani looks great and very health but those were planted in dirt from the bag(not new dirt as I bought it last summer) but it was fresh and didnt show and havent shown any issues and this is why I further believed it was leftover nutrients that caused burning and lockouts but I hope I have caught it soon enough.

The mystery plant is doing alright. It shows the same symptoms as the others in used soil which is to be expected however, the damage isnt as severe and it is in leaves I was going to clip off for the main lining anyways. Everyone have a great day. I'm going to continue flushing these plants and have 3 plants to transfer into their own pots as well. Busy day.

Just checked on the plants and it seems the flush did it. They look a lot better and seem to be developing new growth as well as height. Im glad I picked up on the problem and reversed it quickly it appears that all that were affected will survive and are pushing to make up for lost time.

Awesome, glad you figured it out early! Sucks it only takes one little thing that you forget about to mess up the whole operation, not to mention the thing we are trying to grow makes us forget lots of things...

I will take pictures after the next dark cycle is over. Day after tomorrow. Its funny that you say cannabis causes you to forget. For me I feel like it helps me to remember.Often I remember things from when I was 2 or 3 in vivid detail and my own mom is amazed because she says how did you know that I never told you that and all I can say is I have a very good memory. This was just a oversight.

Now that I think about it I think its more the meds messing up my memory. I smoked for about 15 years with no real problems until I started having these medical issues and started taking all the meds. My wife pics on me and says its like everyday is a brand new experience for me even if we do the same exact thing as the day before lol. I am a creature of habit though and only like going to the same places so it works out nicely :thumb:

My memory is virtually non existent, my short term isn't too bad if I make a point of remembering but I try & remember things from my past & it's very foggy at best :(

High joe!
