I am going to go for a bigger drain hole this time around, ALSO I cut a nice-sized hole and put a window in both my tubs. I just melted the two pieces of plastic together, this way I can see if I have dirt around my drain hole + root growth would be visible. I'll just put a little flap to cover from light. I used a 20 oz bottle as the window. Pics soon on that, sanding it now.
Also, I am going to use a Fishing Bobble with a Bamboo stick or similar to check the level of my water from the pipe. I could leave it between waterings. Its still in the development stages. A nice feature some of the expensive containers have.

Just my thoughts and opinions.
The cover, did that come with the container? Is that a purchased setup? I started making one but I made it to complicated and my ADHD kicked in.
That bucket is capable of growing a monster plant. Can't wait to see it.
Put a thread in the Growers lounge, link to it and ask Teddy to make it sticky (not sure if this will be a sticking point - I’ll get my coat) Then you only need to edit the thread in the growers lounge to update it.That's a great idea @jmrl . Not sure how that would be accomplished though.
Same as me and others have links to completed journals.

Yeah the lids came with the totes. I don't think that you can buy them though, I got them from a friend that works in the pharna industry. They're supposed to be returned to the shipping company but sometimes they disappear in transit

I only had enough for about 2/3 soil-wise on my grow this round, but It is 17gal filled to about 5" from the top maybe 7" "eyeballing" She is in my current grow CloneA02. I can't wait to see what I the weight off is, Just my 2nd defol I got a ounce off from suckers, these are from the bottom of the tree, ones that were in the way or not getting enough light.

Weigh anchor , here i go sailing into uncharted waters , a cheap home made SIP
The buckets are slightly transparent, good to check the water level , the dark band under the overflow hole is the water level
The little plant is a reveg aprox.3 weeks in veg. light cycle , new growth coming along nicely in my cheap indoor setup,

Yeah i know , the fill pipe is a little over the top ,
the idea was to prevent water spillage , i might cut it back a bit at some stage
