Shottafire's Manic Organic 2kw Perpetual With Supersoil & Teas

Hey mcloadie. I will stop by and check you out today sometime. When I run 9 bubba in a tray like I do they go untopped.

I rarely top more than once on anything. unless I was going into a 10 gallon or bigger pot would i top multiple times.

I like letting plants grow both ways untoppped au natural and topped and trained. some need the topping others won't.

That's spectacular!

Which strain is that?

A few thoughts on my cloning and the success I have had and have not had.

Tip number 1. No ph da wata
2. The less you mess with the faster you get with growing
3. keep the temps up!!! my cloning use to always be fast in the warmer summer months and I would have problems with stem rot and wet feet in the cooler winter months. I run a little reptile heat lamp if it gets way too cold, but usually just the germination mat and some pencils to keep the tray lifted off a bit to leave a gap and not let it get too warm.
4. I have tried everything as ar as nutrients go for clones and while roots excelurator is great I have had equal success using
this recipe to soak my root riot plugs in and feeding my week old clones.

for treating the plugs: 1 gallon RO water bubbled for 24 hours
1/2 tsp gen org ca/mg
2 tsp liquid karma
1 tsp gen org bio root
1/2 tsp great white bubble for 24 hours and they are ready to use.

FWIW, I use Root Riot or Rapid Rooter plugs, a dip of clonex gel, and 8oz of RO water in the tray.

I spray 3-7 times per week with half strength "Stress" from the kit. No nutes, no pH.....roots in 5-10 days.....100% success rate on the last two runs.

Stick 'em in the plugs, spray em....leave 'em alone and before you know it they're all a big mass of roots.

Thanks for sharing that doc. I know there is a million ways to do it. I just have had such mixed results until i just started this routine and it works a treat. I am going to try your method when I clone my six brix girls

I'm not saying it's the "best" way....but it is what the directions on the Rapid Rooter Dome say. (other than spraying them) And damn! It's almost like the folks who make the clone domes and plugs know their business! It works!

When you say, "keep the temps up", how warm are you talking about?

I've been maintaining about 73° in my area. Should I go warmer than that?

How about when I turn on the CO2 generator? What temps do you recommend them?

You should be good where your at output.
Being stable at 73 is good. at 78 -80 will be a bit faster but 73 works fine.

Thanks Shotta.

Really want to try some of that Bubba OG someday. It's not available unfortunately where I am, so I will probably have to grow it to try it. But it looks absolutely amazing.

Bubba is a sick looking plant. Hopefully she'll smoke as good as she looks. I had a 'fem' seed of pre 98' Bubba that turned out to be male. I used it's pollen and crossed it with a skunk variant I had. Which is Bubba Skunk, and right now I have one of those seeds starting to flower out for it's first test run. A fat indo looking plant for sure.
I seen ya'll talking about topping,, I top a lot myself, but a lot of plants don't like to be topped. You can even hurt your yield topping certain strains, but on the other note, a lot of strains won't yield near what they could without topping. In my eyes, one must grow a strain acouple times and acouple different ways till you figure out what the strain likes. Great looking buddage Shot. +Rep's+

Bubba has been my go to for the past year and a half. It was a gifted cut from a friend. She smokes really nice and the smoke delivers to the people with high tolerance as well. I hope yours works out for you bubba skunk sounds delicious.

I totally agree you have to run a strain a few times if possible to really zero in on what it likes. I have been topping a fair bit lately but I love the way some plants grow untopped. I defoliate regularly through veg with my bubba and that is enough for it to bush out some.

Thanks for the kind words dude much appreciated coming from a guru like yourself.

You are the guru, those are some of the nicest clones I've ever seen. You need to get those published in a book. Thanks again for the tip on air pump man it sure moves way more air then my last one.

Edit: any chance next time you take clones you could not clip 1 or 2 and leave them with full leafs? I can't remember who but some one was talking hormones in leafs and that it might be more beneficial for the roots not to clip leafs. I will have to look it up again.

That may have been me, Blazin - I posted some stuff on hormones recently. Only growing leaves produce hormones, and they're mostly produced by the growing tips. Those auxins encourage root growth as well as discourage lower leaf growth. Cutting fans has little effect on root growth in cloning, and it reduces transpiration through the leaves, giving the plant more time to root before it dies off.

Auzins come mostly from the new tip growth.
