Shottafire's Manic Organic 2kw Perpetual With Supersoil & Teas

Jeez, shotta, your garden is always remarkable for its uniformity - always a pleasure to view.

Are you getting more frost this run? Seems like it.

Hard to say on the frost but i am really just happy my recycled batch of soil is holding up. It worked out so good that I made up another big batch. Feeding just ca/mg and liquid karma with teas now. great success no ph no fuss a caveman already did it it was so easy. LOL

thankou gray tail. The brix plants will be stealing the show soon though.

I had a couple rough months recently where plants looked like shet. It was all due to my municipal water source they started using chloramines in the water and they didn't tell me. Damn it. The water depleted the micro herd and left me with unhealthy plants for a bit. Now I am back on track using ro water only. Just started a tea this morning leaning on the bloom side but good for late veg about to flower plants too.

The recipe for the tea is

To 5 gallons ro water I add
20 ml gen organics ca/mg
20 ml liquid karna
5 ml earth juice molasses

Let bubble for a few before you add the tea bag.

Tea bag consists of
1 cup worm castings
1 cup vermimend
1 Tbsp indonesian bat guano
1 Tbsp peruvian seabird guano
2 Tbsp organicare bloom
1/2 Tbsp Alfalfa meal
1 Tbsp crushed oyster shell
1 Tbsp insect frass
1 tsp soft rock phosphate

That tea looks heady and smelling earthy not bad.
Its been about 6 hours and there is a ton of white clean looking foam.

Surprising since the water was cold to start. usually takes a bit to get real active. I am excited to apply this tea tomorrow.

Everything looks awesome as usual Shotta!

Great info on treating PM with the sulfur burn. I know what I'll be using if I ever have to deal with PM.

Your expansion looks great. Any reason you opted for 600 vs 2 more 1k? I know the debates just curious on your perspective. Also curious about your trays. I'm looking for some myself and they're a minimum of 40$-50$ which I think is kind of crazy for plastic.

I'm very intrigued by your recycled soil. I'm ok about my 3rd run with my pro mix/perlite/miracle grow organics garden soil. I've been curious how long I can continue to use it. Unfortunately I'd have to order all the supplies to make teas/super soil online which would be costly. That's one of the reasons I'm opting for docs kit because it's all included.

Great video looking forward to how that expansion works for you. It's very close to what I'll be trying to run myself.

Keep on growing bro! :Namaste:

Cheers mr.bubbles

The sulfur burn is hands down the best treatment I have come across yet. It seems to be dormant now. The buds look and smell fine. Some of the hairs have curled back and browned from the burn but that was all.

I opted for the two 600's as my room would have a hard time keeping four thousand watt lights cool. But plan on adding some led here in the near future as well. My room is cooled by a 12k btu mini split. wish I had a 18k now.

You can build a tray out of anything. I just got a good deal on mine looking over a period of months on cl.

Perpetual gardens take a lot of work but the rewards are great when done right.

Gonna post some pics soon

I'm wondering in that if there will be a difference in the end product of the sulfur treated batch. Would be nice to see a side by side smoke test at the end, since we know plants can readily absorb gases that are in the air.. maybe even a slight increase in PPM of sulfur in the buds could potentially make the buds harsh? Just a couple of thoughts, sorry if this has already been answered :Namaste:

Actually ...

Certain terpenes are composed of and enhanced by sulphur, so if anything, it might tend to improve the aroma and taste.

I will do a smoke test for sure. Believe me when I say I didn't want to do any spraying or burning of anything but it got to the point of taking care of the problem asap.

I do know that docbud has sprayed in the last week of flower and the plants had no ill effect on taste flavor potency.

Another thing to note is that when we burn we saturate the leaves to the point of them being wet really wet start the burn and the sulfur bonds with the water instead of the sulfur vapor actually attaching to the plant directly. I think this is the thing that helps protect the plant from the sulfur burn but I am not sure. I do know the buds smell how they normally smell. we will see.

I hope it works out cause it has been f'ing with me a lot the last year.

Cant afford it anymore.

Not trying to argue, but
I am unaware of any terpines or terpenoids in cannabis that actually have a sulfur atom embedded in their molecular structure.

Anyway, shottafire's explanation with the wet leaves makes sense, and I hope it works. But again, I'm interested in seeing an end result comparison test.

PS Great garden as always shottafire!:bravo:
