Here is the dreaded powdery mildew. I sprayed the organocide yesterday which is mostly edible fish oil. not sure if it helped it so i may be following up tomorrow with some green cure.

I also defoliated tonight and took off as much of the PM as I could manage and tried to thin out the canopy. Will take pictures tomorrow to compare and see how much I removed on my 21 day defol schedule

cheers everyone thank you all for your votes in the motm even if it is a popularity contest congrats to all my running mates as well. cause we really are all winners and we are a positive group of top shelf growers.

have a good night. be back tomorrow to update on my PM adventures

I saw a vid recently of Jorge's where he washes PM from harvested buds with Peroxide, That maybe an option for you to spray them with the peroxide. In the video it seems to work well. Im not sure if someone posted on here or if I found it while trying to find the post about bud washing. I want to wash my buds but have quickly looked thru a few journals and lose patience before finding what Im lookin for.

How much lemon juice do you add to the wash the other 2 buckets are plain water right??

Do you cut away PM or do you treat with H202 as well? Keep up the great work my friend :)
I like to remove the worst of it, since I normally defol at or around three weeks in the room I went ahead and did a little trim. I did not take a lot off but i got a lot of the PM out. I will see what it looks like tonight and go from there. Thanks for the kind words as always RainStacks!!!
Always looking good in shottafires room
Thanks coke. I am always trying to improve it my brother.

Lovely pictures, Shottafire :thumb:

I hope your spray and defoil defeats the PM :circle-of-love:

Have you ever tried burning sulphur?

DIY Sulphur Burner/Evaporator

Thanks ricorico! I have not tried burning suphur and i really appreciate the link. +reps
I dont think that organocide spray is going to work long term It is a temporary knock down the spray also is a insecticide also so It may have taken care of some other unwanted's in the garden.

I have never researched the sulphur thing really since I have not needed it but Your link is my lesson today. I want to learn about it so I know the pros or the cons and can use it in the future in case something pops up which it will in the future..

Cheers ricorico have a great day

1/4 cup lemon juice to 1/2 cup of baking soda is what I used and the next two are water.
report on the results and encourage people to try it. docbuds methods are second to none.

I invented the bud-washing....you could always ask me how to do it.

I'm researching a method for washing PM buds. I'll definitely post it when I'm certain I can advise people to do it without messing anything up.

If I could only get some PM in my garden.....just can't make it happen. Maybe I'll get lucky with these OG's in the crappy soil.....

I made the really big no no mistake of bringing in an outsider trying to aquire some fresh new gear and I brought in an infected skywalker or so it was called. I did not quarantine which I usually do and I would normally treat it and all that but i was lazy amd bamm there it is.

I was going to send cascadian your way doc but figured you are a busy guy and I would share it with him so He did not have to contact you. I know you wouldnt mind but anyways. Im tired sorry if I dont make any sense right now. It was a rough night my daughter is teething like mad.

Hello Doc. I knew you were the originator but didnt want to bother you with a question youve probably been asked 1000 times. Your journal is one that I skimmed thru to find the answer I was lookin for but without knowing which journal to look in or where in the journal it was mentioned made it hard to find the answer. I have read thru most of your Strawberry Cough Pineapple Express Journal which could be where I first saw it but I dont remember.

All my practices are included in the "in the lab" thread, linked to in my signature. The bud washing method is there, not sure what page. I try to keep that journal all business.

I use very simple, basic methods mostly. Nothing unusual or extreme.

Environment
Rudimentary pruning
High Brix soil and sprays.

Easy peezy!

shotta your grow is looking really nice as always even with a little mold. I fighting it daily with the high humidity we are having in the greenhouse. I have used it all and it is still there showing it's ugly self. I plan on making a sulfur burner to use next spring to kill off the dam stuff. I have lost quite a few buds already so I hope I can get to harvest without losing to much. Have a good evening weed.

Thanks both for getting me interested doc Im on my way.
Doc is the man in case you guys didnt already know and he is a very nice guy doing tons of research and development to bring the quality to you. I feel sort of bad for purchasing two kits and lagging on getting them started. Truly sorry DB!!! I want to give the kits the fullest potential and I am waiting to find out what my living situation is going to be since we are due to sign for another year here shortly.

I am looking into the diy sulphur burner as well. I am liking what I saw in there today though. the patches have seem to have dried up and I dont see much fuzz but for a few very little patches. I am not saying the spray worked but it knocked it back along with the defol I did last night. that reminds me I should take a pic to see the difference before and after. well maybe. I hope you get to a good harvest with out to much bud lost beemer. I have yet to grow in a greenhouse Im sure it is a totally different playing field in terms of environmental control.

Good weed sir and good luck to the finish.

I was surprised yesterday to come home to a 100 degree room. My heart dropped. Somehow my ac unit was turned off the previous night im guessing that or the power went out and the handler did not turn back on. Everything was ok so far we will see tonight what they llok like. I will get a pic with lights off too to compare pre defol to after.

Honestly scared me half to death. it was scorching in there.

here is what I smoked on to ease my mind after the fact.
