Things have been eventful for the garden the past week for the worse. I am getting a little thrip outbreak which should be an easy fix. I also have some powdery mildew in veg and flower. I gave veg a spray of mildew cure and we will see how that works. It was brought in via an outside cut and I am pretty bummed on it. So this week I will try and do some documenting of what and how I go about fixing these issues. my garden could have been cleaner and there is no excuses but it is getting a full detail tomorrow.

Veg Got a dose of compost tea this week. Everything always responds very well to the teas and I like to water with a little ro water 30 minutes prior to giving the tea.

Going to run through some of whats in veg right now.

Here is a couple agent orange hoping for a male.

Cheers everyone will report back when I get everything handled and the steps I took to rid myself of pesky little thrips and the PM

Wow busy busy m8, sorry to find you have a few little probs, Im sure you'll have it sorted.
You asked about me book. Its a bit hard to explain in short hand but its a young adult/teen adventure . 3 book series set in future, past and present. Involving past civilizations such as Mayans, Incas etc. Interspersed with string theory and multiple realities. It is really about 4 kids saving mother earth and us from ourselves along the way.
Way to much to explain or bore you with sorry.
Happy greeness.

Thanks mate. I need to stop by your journal tomorrow and check out the ocean grown high uv dankness.

After the treatment for the PM everything looks good and green still and no signs of of the Pm. Will follow up in a week on the powedery mildew. I used a product that was omri certified called mildew cure. Anyone with suggestions on some good PM solutions please chime in.

Somoeone told me its good to let the pots dry out as much as the plant can tolerate to help to get rid of the problem. Not sure if this is true or not.

I am going to come up with a solution for the thrips today sometime. I am looking into it after I post this.

A picture to start the day.

Congratz man!
:bravo:

I'm drooling over your photos. :]

Thank you baleine!! welcome to :420:

I am very honored that you chose to make my journal your first post. There is so much variety here and so much quality that it is hard to stand out sometimes.

So thank you and if you ever start a journal let me know

Thanks light addict. I am slowly making progress in the organic department.
If you ever wanted any Input I am here to help. Organics is nice I stopped using all the harsh stuff and now they get only water and teas.
Did I mention no ph'ng anything and no checking ppms. That alone is one of my favorite things about the supersoil ways.

Thanks for the reps LIght Addict. I am back to work now. Got a little consulting job for a friend of a friend setting up a personal
Medical garden. He liked my work that he sampled so he had me over to talk about getting started. This will be my first real grow I have set anyone up with. It's kind of nerve racking knowing that once setup and growing some of the weight will be riding on my shoulders since this guy is a newbie.

LOL, shotta, sheesh, if anyone knows how to grow weed, it's you. Cool opportunity!
:thumb:

Thanks you guys I appreciate the compliments. I see your guys plants and dont kid yourselves everyone is bringing something to the table. i love seeing all the styles and techniques there is to offer on 420 magazine.

The one piece of advice I will leave you with tonight dont take anyones word for it do your own research. Even me. I tend to read/listen more than tell people how to do things. I was talking with another member and he brought something to my attention that I felt was very true. Lots of "new kids on the block" that share horrible advice cause the guy at the hydro store said so kind of thing. There is no one way to grow this plant and when someone tells you what you did was wrong or tries to tell you that you must do this you must do that take caution and research the poster. I am not trying to be an a-hole here i am honestly just saying think for yourself sometimes people.

My dad always told me to be sure I knew what I was talking about before engaging in a conversation to save myself from looking like an ass. It helped but sometimes we can all look like one. I am writing a novel here what has gotten into me. It took me 20 minutes I need to do videos i hate typing this much lol.

thanks again light addict and graytail.

yup you nailed it i like to cross reference all my info, i mean nobody ever lies on the internet buuuuuut yeah even if i read it in a big time famous guys book does not mean its the only way, ive been told its impossible to do organics in coco,,,proved it can be, been told you cant do high brix in coco proved it can, point is you can make your own way despite what ppl say , i remember it being said you cant grow with cfl, led, etc etc if i listened to all that i would never have finished a single plant! i hear you on doing vids way less painful:thumb: ! you rock my man!!

You know what im saying bid. I am trying to get a little mini dv tape recorder and I will start a youtube channel.

Thanks Bid Your work is damn fine and getting better everyday my brother.

Its great to have established people such as yourselves shotta and bigirish, reminding people that its good to walk your own path. I love the interaction here between members and yet I found myself a while back being told that my methods were wrong that I shouldnt do this or that and basically my style made no sense. It was only a few people, as I have found most people truly awesome I must make clear. But I knew they worked for me so stuck at it, refined, then got POTM.
So for me as you guys have encouraged above: try, experiment as there is no better way than gaining your own personal experience. Even botches and little failures are just a closer step to true understanding.

I sprayed down my girls in flower with some stuff to treat the PM. There was only a few spots here and there but was not taking any chances. I am not sure it will work, it was an organic solution and called organocide. 85% Edible fish oil 10% lecithin 5% sesame oil.
I added a drop of some palmolive original dish soap. Must have sprayed half a gallon on em and boy did that spray stink like raw fish sewage. Hopefully the smell goes away I had to get out of there after I sprayed it was soo potent smelling and it made me nauseous.

Pics tonight of the whole lot.

Organocide "Plant doctor?" Is that what you're spraying?

I am not sure its called plant doctor but it says organocide 3 in 1 garden spray. I hated to do it but saw some PM and thought i would try something new. Its omri aapproved which Im not sure means anything since it is basically a really expensive stamp people put on there bottles but everything looked ok after the spray. I will know more tonight!!!

It was very fishy.

It is still visible and looks like it spread. OUch
Kind of bummed cause this set looks like a solid one.

I am thinking of trying the milk method. Or using some green cure. Any Suggestions anyone?

I will wait to see what you guys think and figure it out tonight and spray tomorrow. And hopefully find something that works.

At three weeks and I am not taking any chances.
