Shiggity Goes Mad Scientist: Paving The Yellowbrix Road With DIY Adventures!

Sunset Day12 post flip. They are hanging low and ready to sleep. Just 10 min before lights out. Did some undercarriage cleanup on the girls. Not all the way because I like to lollipop in stages. Recharge tomorrow and here we go!

The lights are raised and the scrog plants recovering from the excessive light. These aren't my best plants ever but I want to continue and learn the scrog through flower. Co2 gen arrived so they should be able to take the light better.

The bamboo scrog girls are overgrown but I think they will be really nice. Some supercropping the next week will help.

It's pretty interesting how the SIP is encouraging strong rooting. So much that the main branches are full of those root knobs.

Some seriously strong branches here on this girl too!

Yes very cool, I was noticing that and wondering what they were, Very promising for sure :goodjob::thumb:

EDIT: Don't think I have ever seen them that high up a plant, EVER

Here she is done.

WOW Shiggs those buds are insane, I love how you cured before trimming! I might have to snag some of those buckets and cure before I trim and see how I like it, seems like it could be the way to start doing things.

I think I am going to make some modifications to the SIPs to increase aeration at the root zone. So I will take several pieces of 1" PVC and drill holes in them. I will wrap them with landscape cloth and place them vertically in the soil to make air channels that go all the way down.

Interesting! I was thinking of sticking an airhose into the rez and have an airpump bubbling the water. I dont think id use an air stones though.

Hey Shiggs this is the veg tent I built. I need to add ventilation and get the door done still but this is where it is at right now.

Here is my Blue Magoo Bx2 I have going on that I need to clone and flip tomorrow

That's a beautiful sight Yeti. You're gonna shame me into doing a more thorough job on my own veg shelf. :laughtwo: Very well done, so far. Reps+ for the ingenuity and execution. :high-five:

That sounds like it could work out well. Thanks I will see if I can make it happen. It is getting a little warm as is. I need to get some 4 inch dryer vent material and a 4 inch inline fan and rig an intake/exhaust for it. I am thinking about an intake in the bottom of the door on one lower corner and the exhaust running from the opposite top corner with the fan just pulling the exhaust from up there :hmmm::hmmm:

They make a furnace filter with charcoal imbedded, sold for homes with pets that might be worth looking at for odor control at the exhaust end of things.

If you have a "Lowes" hardware in your community, they have 5 gallon food grade buckets and gamma lids.

I use them, but not with a turkey bag. May have to give that a shot.

I keep forgetting to get down there to pick up a new bucket and lid. The bucket I have is used for the first wash, and I can't give that up with all these upcoming harvests staring at me.

I'm really excited about the possibilities Shiggity. I have a couple branches of my last Carnival harvest in total darkness for the next two months, and I'm going to suspend my entire Ultra Dawg inside the new bucket as soon as it's dry enough. Don't you love the freedom to experiment? Hmmmm..... Maybe I don't want to cut back on the number of plants I grow. :hmmm: I enjoy being able to experiment.

There's just too little space under the lights. :laughtwo:

Heya Shiggs how's things in your world are friend? Some great looking Buds you got going on here :-)
We are loving the new lights and looking for more but seems HLG is out of stock of most everything they sell? Sure hope they are doing ok because we want more of there stuff!!

Mrs J and I been busy canning this weekend, pickles and sour kraut were the target this weekend. 23 lbs of kraut in the crock ( I'm not a fan but the boss lady is) bread and butter pickles and garlic dills, more pickles too go but made a dent in it

Blessed Buds our friend and be well :passitleft:

Sauerkraut, unpasteurized, is one of the best sources for the most valuable of the probiotics. My compliments to the lovely wife for being so inspired to protect your gut health.

Ok so I didn't comment on this one because I was a little weirded out by what I thought it was. My collab buddy came buy and I handed him the jar and asked what he smelled. He said the exact thing I was thinking

Megafauna 5 smells like Skunk#1

Then I made him smoke the lemon pledge Mega #9 and we were both gone in one bong hit.

I've been finding that the low and slo dried produce potentiates exponentially when it's been cured a few days after removing from the fridge. Carnival becomes an almost overwhelming high with just one hit. One day last week I spent the day completely blitzed on less than ten hits the entire day. Unbelievable, the difference a high terpene count can make, isn't it?

Don't forget to keep the turkey bag fairly tight around the buds. Not constricting and not super loose. I think it's important that for two months the bag keeps all the terps close basically bathing the plant in its own terpenes.

Diffusion causes molecules in an area of high density to spread to a region of low density until an equilibrium is reached. The greater the difference in concentration the quicker the dispersal.
I think it's important to keep the nugs in a high terp environment so the terpenes in the actual plant will disperse at a slower rate. The plant will be closer to equilibrium with the terpenes trapped inside the bag than with a looser bag or if a plant is inside a bucket with lots of air space and no bag.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll go adjust the bag around the Carnival buds now, and remember this when I suspend the UD in the bucket.

Thank you so much for the reps sue :thanks: I will look into the filter you mentioned. I stay high with about 6 to 10 hits every day anyways. I am a lightweight :laughtwo:

Oooo.... pretty. Makes for an interesting variety, doesn't it? I get some nice variegation in the DDA seeds Riflemen made.
