Shiggs, thanks a ton for the strain run down. I love strain talk...one of my favorite things to do.

La Platina - I've looked at that one as well. I got the Punch x Platinum for the same reason tho. LA Confidential is on my list too. Heavy indicas. :cheesygrinsmiley: This should be a great cross.

Mendo Breath: Ok I've seen a lot of the breath strains..what is the deal with them and why are they popular? Isn't ThugPug a big breath guy?

Straymindset afgooey purée - This one instantly made my list because well...just because those crosses and landraces sound right up my alley.

Tunnel Vision: The description talks about Bodhi's Granola Funk. I think I recall reading about it..what's the deal?

Bodhi Joystick: I've heard great things about Wifi and Snow Lotus too. I've really had my eye on Jabba's Stash (Bubba Kush x Snow Lotus) for awhile. Need to just pull the trigger next time I see it. Also Sky Lotus (Skywalker OG x Snow Lotus).

Bodhi Clusterfunk: He breeds that hash plant with a lot of things so he must like it a lot.

Mendo breath is OGKB x mendo montage. OGKB or cherry pie kush is a cross of Durban poison and Chemdawg. Mendo montage has white widow and train wreck in there somewhere. The result is a caramel vanilla mint chocolate strain.

Yes she has some very interesting genetics.
Besides the bud size I am interested in bringing some differing genetics into the grow. Everything is so cookie heavy right now. Which I understand because cookies is so good. But we need variety.

Granola funk is GSC forum cut x Wookiee 15. Wookie 15 is one of the phenos of a lavender x Appalachia cross and is supposed to have really loud lavender terps.

What's not to love about G13 crossed with hashplant? And with clusterfunk mixing it with a 91chem! She is definitely a SOG strain. No branching to speak of. More of a personal strain choice as I am not a SOG guy but I can't wait to taste
 
I am in awe of your understanding of the strains and different phenos. :thedoubletake: How do you hold onto that info? Thank God you do, because my brain is overstuffed with medicinal information and it's important that I have talented authorities to turn to when I have pressing questions.

Amen Overlord. Dynasty's breeding program is the most well thought out, stable, and consistent quality I have ever seen.
 
I figured after I run their strains, then maybe go inhouse for a while. But might just stick with dynasty, will know for sure after I get thru the huck kush and cherry vanilla cookies. I even dug my Dewey mister cloner out in anticipation. I'm definitely cutting clones, try to keep around for a while. I just hope I don't screw my 1st run of hi-brix up. Have a feeling it's going to be easy after I get used to it.
 
The first run seems so intimidating. Weird lingo and strange practices. It all becomes second nature very quickly!

I need to run so many of the basics...I have no idea what a cookie variety tastes or smells like. Never had a Dosido or Gelato or GSC or GG #4. I have no clue if i'd like any of them or not.

Isn't it awesome! Shiggs is a strain junkie. Need to kick up the Strain Hunters with Shiggityflip tv show! I'd seriously pay to watch.

I may love the strain talk as much as growing. Shiggs, I'd love to hang out one night, get high as hell and talk strains all night.

That's a great idea Beav! Strain Hunters! I'd friggin watch every episodes, and Shiggity could be the host. Traveling the world over!
