Shiggity Goes Mad Scientist: Paving The Yellowbrix Road With DIY Adventures!

I just take clones off of any plant, especially on their way to the flowering room. Every plant is a mom. And I bonsai at least one per pheno in a 1 gallon pot. They will stay small for a long time if you need them to.

A big veg room is great because you can do all your soil mixing etc there
We have a plant that has been in a 1 gallon for almost 3 months because of lack of room lol. Still healthy but you can't see the soil when you pull her out of the pot, 100% roots.
Hey Buckshot, I thinks there is a lot of folks wishing they had your problem. Sitting on Bud two years.... whoa's me......
I smoked some OG kush bud that was 14 months old over the weekend and it's amazing on how much the taste has changed over time. A good cure does wonders.

I remember years ago reading about the "barrel analogy" and it has affected my growing ever since. In this analogy each nutrient and environmental factor is one of the wood staves in a barrel. The longer the stave to higher the barrel can be and the more the barrel can hold. You can imagine it is filled with water.

Where does the water pour out? At the lowest stave. The lowest limiting factor will bring the grow down to that level. In this example picture the lack of nitrogen is keeping the grow down. If that wooden stave was taller then the next thing to raise would be potassium. Then we would tackle each stave in turn until we could hold the most water possible.

That's what I try and do with improvements. Fix the next stave in the barrel.

Great analogy Shiggs.

How do you "bonsai" a mother plant and keep it small like that? Just keep trimming it back? I was wondering how you keep a clone of say your Twister in veg for 15-20 years or however long you have.

Another Strain question for ya Shiggity. I've been reading about this Zookies, a cross between animal cookies and GG#4. Story is the seeds were gifted to Golden State Cultivators from Alien labs, and GSC began pheno hunting and zookies was born.

Have you sampled this strain? Are these seeds available? I can't find anyone selling them

Hey Shiggs couple pics of my Pineapple Fields at 68 days of 12's. She started coloring pretty good in the last week or two. I think I may have the Ms U pheno. I let someone else smell it and they couldnt pin down the smell but said it smelt woody to them. I cannot associate it with haze when I smell it but haze is usually woody. Thanks for looking Shiggs

It's the first time I've had one explode out like this. What lights are you growing under?

That is a gorgeous plant Sue! Good job on thta. I am running 315 watt CMH lights now. She started flower under a 600 watt HPS.
Yeti she's gorgeous. Could be the Ms. U. Let it cure and we
Will see the final smells you get. I love the structure there on those buds. Tight clusters of easy bong hit size pieces. One of my favorite things about Pineapple Fields!
Thanks Shiggs! I think I may let her go to 11 weeks if she keeps changing color the way she has been.

Evening/morning to you shiggs.

Our honor and pleasure to meet you sir. We have been lurking round and you for sure are having the time of your life. My wife an I would like to know where you purchase the dynasty seeds from?
