It was just a guess from all of the learning I've been doing since getting this started, so yeah, I guess I'm starting to pick up a few things. Honestly I can't believe I was the one to call that, I figured CoFinest or King John would have gotten to it before me. Thanks for the compliment and the Gold Star. I am happy as hell to help any way I can.

Growers have been using floro's forever, so don't worry your buds will be gooey and tasty. IMO the HPS and LED's help them become tighter/firmer, not better in terms of overall quality. That's what I think the red spectrum does, again just my humble opinion.

Hey man, IMO LED does have an effect on potency as well as overall quality of buds. They have better spectrum and intensity, not to mention the built-in UV for resin production and the overall cost of running the lights is a lot cheaper when you compare to other lights with the same wattage. That's just my take on them and does not necessarily reflect the views/opinions of others. I am after all just a novice when it comes to cultivating MJ. So, you and the misses taking your son to see fireworks tonight? My wife and I watch the municipal display in the back yard if we watch at all. I just don't like crowds. I hope you and your family enjoy the hell out of the holiday weekend and be safe if using fireworks at home.

LOL, nice. Not a new camera, phone camera and just trying to give as many views as I can so everyone gets the best look since I'm the only one that sees them real time. Hell, the dog doesn't even see them real time. I make her wait until I download to laptop. She's not happy about it but that's just how it is. We don't always get what we want when we want it. I understand, I wish I was able to use a better light setup, especially in flower. One of these days I'll be able to upgrade and then I'll rock some serious bud. I fully understand brother... I picked up my 600w ballast, reflector and 2 used bulbs for 70 bucks. Ended up spending another 45 on a air cooled reflector but I'm still happy with my deal. Craigslist is the best!! Caught my 32x32x63 tent for 48. Go find the deals

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY U.S. based growers! I hope everyone is having a safe and fun holiday and weekend. Just a quick update before I fire up the grill. I topped Medi2 last night and watered all the seedlings this morning. They are all happy and growing. I also received part of my latest order. A green LED headlamp for 13USD, it's light weight and the light tilts so you can put the light where you need it. It's comfortable, has a pad that rests against your forehead when wearing it. Here's some photos. Just for you yuyo.

In your photographs the new growth appears to have nutrient burn. i would slightly reduce the strength of the nutrients your are using if you have not already done so.

I've spent like, 3 hours today going through your journal Shadowman, and this is sweet! Subbed in now.
Its really impressive to see your first attempt going so well, that bamboo scrog thing was genius by the way, idk why you removed it. I'm new to 420 mag, just started my first journal too for my outdoor grow here in Southwest CO if you want to check it out, but for the winter I hope to get back indoors. I've gotten a few decent harvests before but I'm no pro like CO Finest, COorganics, or KingJohnC or many many more here (sorry if I left you out, you're all great )...
I'm wondering, where did you get those 2700k and 6500k cfl bulbs/what are their prices like? I'll probably either need those for supplemental lighting or maybe for a main light source when I go indoors (If I can't get my LED panel fixed).
I remember my first grow, started in High School hahaha, and totally blew it, it was such a disaster. ended up with maybe a gram of shwag. but you learn from your first f_ck ups - I also cut off a topped cola on accident my 2nd grow! Worst feeling ever!

Anyways, keep it up! great journal keeping, it's been a privilege to watch your first babies from sprout to the fine ladies they now are! You're gonna get a lovely harvest. I can tell this is only the beginning of a long, illustrious career growing fine medical grade mary jane for you

Hey Shadow got your journal in my signature now, sorry took so long. Had to light a spliff. Anyway, both have popped the medium and Shirley finally decided to grace us with her presence. Laverne had to be re-situated, because as Denise had mentioned in an earlier post, the root comes out the one end of the seed and Laverne had shot her root up instead of down so I readjusted the root into the medium and I'm thinking she'll be fine. Shirley came up without a shell, so planting the seed a little bit deeper helped her to come up without the shell. Well you live-n-learn right? Roughly 90 days or so to harvest, Ha Ha!! I am really curious how the Growology step 1 will do with these seedlings, cause there's nothing in that medium except for the Promix myco's, .07% NPK from the perlite, and Step 1 Growology. John this will be a good test to see how well your formula does, because I put the seed right into the medium, no transplanting. So far I've gotten them to pop, now it's all Growology.

Hey KJC, Thanks for stopping in and looking things over. I have reduced nutes and am feeding Bloom+ only for a couple of feedings to see if that's all I'll need for the finish. I'll be posting more pics later. "Keep The Green Side Up"

Good evening everyone and Welcome. It was bound to happen, Little Frankenstein turned up male. I was checking him over hoping to see some sign of flowering when I saw the pollen sacks. Bummer, the good news is Medi gets the tent to herself now and I can stretch her out some and open her up to light. I gave LF2 some nitrogen and LF5 and 6 some Cal/Mag+ and pinched the bad leaves. The Veg box is doing nicely. Here's the photos.

Being this is my first grow and the flower stage is all new to me, I'm waiting to pull LF1 until I get a second or third opinion to be on the safe side but I know what pollen sacks look like from photos.
