So I had an 8" inline fan for my 4x4. A little overkill but I had no problem with ventilation. I did get big swings in day/night temps when I had the MH installed, but with the LED's the temperature was a lot easier to manage. Therefore the question was do I really need an 8" fan now. It was oversized before and now is using more energy than needed.
So I went on a hunt and found a 6" fan that has 6 speed settings and adjusts based on your preset temperature. IP44 rated and basically adjusts speed the closer or further it gets away from the setpoint.
I'm sure plenty of you have seen it and used it and it only has 361CFM airflow max, but it works great. For the most part it runs between 50-75% and probably a lot lower when I'm sleeping.
Would it work with a carbon filter attached? I don't know, probably not. I have one and one day I will test it out, but by the time I would need it in my grow it will be legal here and I don't give a rat's butt if my White Widow overpowers the neighborhood.
Moving on, the next pic is a SCROG test. I think that's the height I'll be going with, assuming 4" through the net before pulling under and stretch when flowering. My lights still need to be 24" as a guidline for flower but we'll be testing lower. I may even take out the LED's and put the HPS 600W in. Since I have no experience in either I'll eventually be trying both out to see which gives better buds and yields.
Next are the stars of the show, Wendy and Emily. Wendy has some unique genetics. All her new growth has some funny coloring in it, almost patchy, not new growth colors but strange patterns. Hard to see in the images, but after a day those markings all disappear.
Emily just won't grow up. All she wants to do is be a bushy little bitch and she's not co-operating with the rest of the group. Any suggestions why her growth is stunted? Even the quads, next up, are growing faster. Emily is healthy, strong, bushy, but short. Color looks great. Can I assume this may be a genetic thing or maybe not even a WW. Fascinating this weed world we live and grow in.
OK how many are still reading?
Next up are the new stars, the Quad sisters, Edna and Denice. Both have been growing strong and today they got their first good tickle and are coming down to the third floor where apparently nodes wanna hang out and party. I'm happy with the growth rate on these. They were almost 2 weeks later in the soil then Wendy and Emily.
So those who have been paying attention to the names of the girls may have noticed the first letter from each name will spell out the word WEED. Why do you need to know this? You don't, but I feel better telling you
OK, that's all for now folks.
