There are a lot of seats already taken...but still plenty to take...where do you get the room?

I bring a small cooler that magically is always full with Bud Lights. The king of beers I say! Quantity over Quality! I will, however, grab an IPA here or there from your coolers if offered.

My first grow, so lots to learn. 2 plants in 5 gallon buckets. Mistakes were made....plant 1 is not a complete loss, but I'm not spending too much time on her anymore. Plant 2 is growing crazy.

I may talk about the mistakes after a few joints and some tequila one night. Questions about 'training' will go in the main forum.

Here is plant 2 and where my training questions will come from.

Busy day at The Roost. I took pH and ppm readings this morning, added water, waited, and took readings again.

DC1.....25.75"(+1.75").....6.6 @ 69°.....1190.....added 4 qts h2o no nutrients.....6.4 @69°.....1010ppm
DC2.....27"(+2.25").....6.4 @ 69°.....931.....added 4qts h2o no nutrients.....6.4 @ 69°.....779ppm REMO Girl
JK1.....15.75"(1.5").....6.4 @ 69°.....1160.....added 3qts h2o no nutrients.....6.4 @ 69°.....1010pp,
JK2.....18.25"(+2").....6.8 @ 69°.....1030.....added 4qts h2o no nutrients.....6.7 @ 69°.....846ppm

And then the fun started. I harvested my remaining Dark Devils. DD1 was a slightly smaller plant than DD2 and also the one i picked out of the pair to get the AN additives. I was hoping she would prove me wrong in my deductions from the last pair of DD, but she didn't. The buds are no stickier, the stems were no stronger, no better smell, slightly more burn than DD2, and the buds did not get near the same size as DD2 who got AN mgb *only*.

I know it sounds counter intuitive, but for me and these four DD, the better results were achieved with the mgb only. Did I hear someone ask what the results were? Well let me tell you. :)

Y'all know I'm normally very humble about my plants, but I've got to stand up and tell ya, DD1 was a darn fine harvest. The photos below are before harvest began, and then after a plucking of most of the larger leaves. I have 726g wet from her laying on the screens. ;)

But DD2 rocked it out of the park !! These are the largest DDA I've grown and this one is the monster of them all. :yikes: The last photo was after all the small inner stuff was taken, and only the large colas were left. She was 988g wet. :thedoubletake::thedoubletake:

Yes 988g . :) Give me a few days and I'll update with dry totals. Hey KUSHTIE, do you remember what the weight was on that big DDA we were chasing? I think I'm going to be close. :biglaugh:

Day 30 And The Beat Goes On. :)

I can't even type that without hearing Sonny and Cher singing. :theband: la de da de de , la de da de da.

Took a couple of photos along with the measurements this morning. The JK while slower than the DC, are now picking up speed. They have a very tight structure. Side branches are almost straight up and in close similar to a Lombardy Poplar, while the DC has that wide open stance that just screams "Go buy some pipe cleaners or garden wire Dummy." :rofl: The DC has already started setting budsites too. The Mephisto Sour Crack genetics are going to have these two girls Fat and Heavy. :Love:

I went back to check what LEDRF did. Post # 281. He pulled 118grams, or 4oz 6 grams.

Should have know Kushtie had the high weight. Something he does for fat heavy trichomes. Carry on. :bongrip:

Thanks Jim... twice. :)

I suspect Kush has some secret spell or medallion he uses for turning out beauties. I'm not beyond using chicken bone voodoo myself, to top his yield with the dda, and the auto jedi kush. :rofl:

Good clean Scottish water seems to be a good start:surf: Other than that it's just base nutes, 600 watts then follow the instructions and hope everything is awesome.

This far I've only seen one grower beat me with the same strain and my seed came out a mix pack so I'm not even sure it was the same strain. Not that it matters if I had the right strain or not as I believe he beat me because I did a piss poor job with the pH control and I hope to have another go at it. Hans might have beaten with RPA though and we both had seeds out of proper packaging so it was a level playing field even if we weren't playing together.

What's the best time of year to get your 1000W up to full chat on an auto? I reckon you'd beat me with Candy Kush and get over a pound from a plant.

C'mon Kush :) Its all good. They were both stunning plants and he hasnt got them to sweat yet :) That pic you posted with the resin drop is still probably the best pic Ive ever seen!! :) :passitleft:

It has to be dead on Winter before the 1000w doesn't cause problems. If daytime temps are out of the 30s F and the sun gets the attic warm I can't keep reservoir temps out of the mid to upper 70s.

That is an amazing photo. :) I'll not be posting anything near that pretty with my andriod phone or tablet. ;)
