A hearty welcome to our happy neighborhood. If you need any help moving things (like the errant journal that should probably be over here with the rest of the intrepid band) you have only to contact one of the eager forum moderators and they'll be more than happy to assist you.

It's always nice to see a fresh face among the crowd. That first grow comes with the eventual first harvest of something you grew with your own two hands. There's no turning back from there. There's no turning back from us too. In case you weren't warned in advance, we tend to be a bit addictive without the cannabis. :battingeyelashes: :Love:

Feeling welcome already!
As soon as I find some time I'll create a journal. Being a father, husband, and homeowner. Time is sparse for hobbies. And my car is my main one lol. But being as it just became legal in my state and I've watched a couple friends complete their first grow. I thought I'd give it a try. Having a lot of hiccups along the way so far but at least I'll know what to do different next time. As you all know each grow/situation is different so some advice may not apply. But I'm welcome to any that is given! We were all new to this at one time right?

Hey Sue,
I hope 420 doesn't accuse me of promoting a non sponsor. BioTabs are a product made in the Netherlands and allows people an easy way to grow organic in coco, soil, or other mediums. You inoculate the medium with some bacteria and enzymes, stick two BioTabs in the medium, and you just feed pure water for the entire grow. I have seen grows with them from start to finish and the plants look great. In an Autopot system, you normally could put organic nutes in the reservoir and with this you just put water in the reservoir.

Thanks Hemi. You beat me to it. They are supposedly NOT available in the USA. However I believe there is a Breeder that will ship them on the sly. PM me if you want to know who.
 
The pH ppm data logging continues. :)

Saturday morning Day 25

DC1.....18".....6.6 @ 71°.....910

Notice the big jump in growth. ;) Even JK1 is picking up the pace. She was the one that sprouted two plants from one seed, and it apparently has slowed her slightly. Water was added to all four (see below for amounts). Today's top off was mixed at one gallon water to 3ml of m,g,b Bud Igniter, Piranha, and 0.5ml Z7. Why the BI and Piranha ? Because it's sitting around here, nearly out with nothing else growing until next Fall, and most importantly... why not? :)

The chart below shows the amount of water added to top off the buckets, and pH, ppm reading from ten minutes afterward. If you've been following along with the pH, ppm saga I'd like to hear your thoughts on it? Good or bad, I've got broad shoulders and a duck's back. :biglaugh:

JK1 does look a little behind looking at the numbers but I'd still be hoping for over breeder's estimates weight wise....most of them seem good for half a pound:grinjoint:

For the regular readers that notice patterns and such* you know that tomorrow should be a water change day for the DC/JK grow. A few posts ago I told y'all that I'd gotten my hands on the entire Remo Nutrient line. See where this is going? :)

Doing some tinkering today, mixing different ratios of the Remo brand to try and match the ppm I've been getting with AN. A reminder...30ml of AN into 4 gallons gave me a nutrient value between 750 and 775ppm. That's the same reading one gets using 7.5ml AN in one gallon.

Using one gallon of water and Remo micro, grow, and velokelp I took measurements at their recommended dosage for week 2 (6ml/g) and week 4 (8ml/g). Today is day 25 so I figured that would get me in the ballpark... It did. :) Nutrient ppm were 585 and 740 respectively.

Now to decide which plants to swap over to Remo.:hmmmm:




 
I have the RX Green Solutions Grow Better line that I won, but I'm making myself wait until I start the next hempy. I did start using the Terpinator with my current hempy though. Couldn't come up with a good reason not to. She still has about three weeks to go, which translates into about 8-10 waterings. That's a lot of opportunity to grow some better terps.

I'm looking forward to the next hempy. I may go to a bigger pot. :cheesygrinsmiley:
 
Water Change on Day 26.

To refresh your memory, last week DC1 and JK1 received 30ml AN mgb while the #2 plants only got 24ml. This week JK2 was bumped to 30ml, and the #1 plants were bumped to 39ml with the eventual plan of moving up to 45ml.

If your wondering where that leaves DC2 fear not. She is now a Remo girl. ;) 8ml per gallon of micro, grow, and velokelp. Photos and data dump below. Take a quick look then go do something else. Hug your family, get out of the house, live your day with purpose. Peace y'all.:)

I'm stuck at work as usual on Sunday, so can't go outside at the moment. Just lucky that I work a job with a lot of downtime so I can read grow journals all evening.

Work? What the heck is that? I once went somewhere they paid me to sit around and look pretty, but nothing much else. I had to give it up, too stressful. Now I spend my days looking pretty for free. :rofl:

Yea I know, it is too stressful working but someone has to make sure the internet keeps running. Believe me, when I can retire in a few years I will. Until then, oh well. :passitleft:

Don't be in any hurry to retire. It sounds great, but there are a lot of days when I wonder if I even need/want to get out of bed.
