Rifleman's Roost Open 24/7: Perpetually Perplexed

You just blasted into the front of my brain. Did you just get home Lucas? Enjoying your brownie buzz? :battingeyelashes: My choice today was Carnival. Same vibration through the cells. It doesn't kick in with Carnival for about an hour I think. Hard to keep track when the buzz is this fine, eh? Lol!

It's put me on a crazy vibratory plane. I'm feeling even more connected. Going out for a walk. Think we should warn the world that I'm on the loose?

Continue the exploration Mr. McCain.

Geez Rifleman..... I have yet to grow anything that even comes close to that.

DWC, lots of light, and the correct strain is all you need. :) My needs keep me reaching for more and more. Third tent anyone ?

Just so y'all don't think that all I do around here is BS about growing, smoking and eating brownies, I'm posting photos of the Dark Devils this morning during their water change. Yes, yes, yes, I actually grow something every once in a while. :biglaugh:

Day 21. Ranging from 3 to 4.25 inches, and all pushing out the seventh node. The feed this week was; cal-mag 4-0-0 15ml, mgb 12ml, hydroguard 9ml. PPM nutrient reading going into the buckets ranged between 563 and 591.

The other DDA I've grown popped pistils on days 25 and 28. I'm giving them the hairy eyeball each morning. Only ~10wks once they're spotted. :goof:

Beautiful. I simply must stop looking at your pretty pictures and thinking "and I'm struggling with a hempy!" You make this look so tempting, but I'm on my way to the post office to pick up my bale of Pro-Mix HP and simplify my life.

Stop teasing me with all this excellence dammit!

So I smoked the decarbed bud this morning. I don't think it hit faster, harder, nor lasting any longer, but it smoked smoother and I damn sure didn't need the grinder. :biglaugh: I'll repeat with other strains as they work through the rotation. Only three strains left in stock, and barely 7oz at that. :yikes: It's a good thing I'm only a few weeks out from a harvest.

My stomach thinks my throat has been slit, so it's Brownie Breakfast time. If y'all have questions ask them now. I'll have trouble reading within the next hour, and won't be worth much for the next eight.

I don't know if the Monster energy drink is called for with the power of that brownie pulling along Lucas. :laughtwo:

I just finished my own brownie. I went with a Carnival one, a spiritual journey in brownie form. Lol!

I find it interesting that you're the second man to not sense the changes in the smoking of the roasted bud. Hmmmm..... Canna said it hit her the way it did me. I wonder if this might be sexually determined? Intriguing. We need more data. I need more women to join. Hmmmm...... A dilemma presents itself. I may have to enlist some wives. Your CEO doesn't smoke, does she?

Suffering this pain at the moment myself. Santa seems a touch delayed. Might have to grab some gifts out of his sleigh a touch early.

I was awfully tempted to take a bottom bud from the six shooters this a.m. as I was adding water. :) Then I remembered the Mephisto plants. 'Member... I 'member ? :biglaugh: I quietly uprooted them all days ago. So instead I left the six shooters alone and ground up the entire Skywalker plant. It was the largest of the clan and made one mighty joint. WOW! I'm going to have to put one of those in a bucket so I can do it justice next time.

I haven't bothered with any ppm checks this week, just topping off buckets nearly daily. For those interested it goes something like this...

Remove air pressure from bucket side tubes.
Estimate how many gallons it takes to top off all four buckets.
Mix refills @ 9ml/4Gal or 11ml/5Gal (depending on how much is needed) of mgb and all additives used.
Top off buckets, take notes on each plant.
Reapply air.

Yep, dwc is that easy. Since last Sunday's water change my four big girls have consumed 54 quarts or 13.5 gallons. That's an average of 10.8qts a day. Single plant high and low for the week are 9 and 16.5 quarts. This means you need extra five gallon buckets of water sitting around evaporating chlorine and other bad stuff. Counting my 8 buckets with plants I have a total of 20 buckets in the house either used to mix in, distilling water, or full of daily use equipment that I carry from growroom to growroom.

No mystical wands or potions, no spells, no smells, no sells, no tells. Now you know all the secrets to my limited success.:)

What's on everyone else's plate? Near harvest? Tempted to give dwc a try? ...Sue ? Plans for new year? I do get around to y'alls journals, I just don't say a whole lot due to the work involved. I know that's selfish but it's sometimes a real struggle for me to recall what is being said and I have to read 3 or 4 pages to strike a chord. Multiply that by scores of threads I'm in and it becomes overwhelming. :Namaste:

Wishing everyone health, happiness, and peace in the coming year. I'll be back Jan 1st with an update and photos from both tents. Peace and Love y'all. :peace:

LMAO Ramble much? Nope, just brownie.:rofl::rofl:

Having my brownie in between key strokes. Lol! Happy New Year to you, the CEO and of course Roscoe.

You do make it sound very tempting. Maybe somewhere in the future when I use up all the soil I just mixed we can discuss this further. It does intrigue me, to be honest. Hauling around soil isn't something I'm committed to for life. We took no vows.

Yea, but isn't Living Organic Soil supposed to be until death do you part.

Buckets, cool boxes, water carriers from the camping shop......I feel your pain buddy:MoreNutes:

DWC sounds complicated....take away the removing and reapplying of air and the estimating bit and you have res maintenance for NFT, aeroponics and hopefully fogponics too. I hope to try DWC one of these days but the main reason I haven't is the same reason I'm probably only going to do one run with the Amazon aeroponics system and that is noise.

To me the biggest attraction for DWC is scalability but the attraction with fogponics is the potential for performance and it's supposed to be silent as the misters are ultrasonic and well outside the range of frequencies we can hear. I wonder what the dogs will make of it though!:laughtwo:

Happy new year when it comes:cheertwo::grinjoint:

Complicated  You of all people know how easy it is. DWC is a noisy beast. I'm always amazed how quiet the house is when the fans are off and the buckets not bubbling. OTOH the low rumble of the bubbles makes for great white noise to sleep by.

cheers pa,, i will for sure be looking into some kinda hydro next year,, greenhouse seeds video comparing hydro to soil kinda convinced me i need to9 look further,, cheers lucas,,

Take a look at autopots, it's all the explosive growth of hydro with none of the hassles because you are growing in coco instead of pure water. Having come from a DWC background, I can say this is the the easiest method of growing hydroponically I have ever come across. Only pain is having to top water for the first 3 weeks while the tap root establishes itself. Then you flip on the reservoir and let the fun begin. I just left on holiday for nine days and the system took care of itself. Came back to girls that are now ten inches taller than when I left.
