Rifleman's Roost Open 24/7: Perpetually Perplexed

Hyena...:passitleft: You'll love your MB Machine. It's so much easier to make goodies with it. The only drawback to it is the farckin upside down box it comes in. Don't forget to get some lecithin.

Yeah, I didn't quite understand the box but the machine is cool beans. Got a deluxe mini-oven to decarb. Within the need for stealth I hope to try my first batch before Christmas. Going to be in the great white North snowmobiling all Christmas week and it's the perfect time to try edibles for the first time. And I will save everyone the trouble of advising me to go easy at first...I get it. You all have scared the hell out of me sufficiently where there will be no green out. :trance:

Peace, Hyena

I love my MBM for cooking oils, salves, and tinctures. As for edibles, just keep some peppercorns around just in case and enjoy! If you are safe at home what's the worst that can happen.

My recipe this time was 1oz bud, 1oz trim, 14oz coconut oil, 5tbsp soy lecithin. From that I made three pans of 16 brownies. Go big or go home, right ? :biglaugh:

The worst... ? Uncontrollable euphoria, inability to focus on a task, intense focus on a task, OH SQUIRREL ! I find I even get stumbly sometimes like I've had a drink or two. (I don't drink) And the thing I'm most ashamed of... a farting contest with Roscoe. He claimed victory, and I let him think so because I love him, but I wasn't the one that had to leave the room.

:woohoo: Time to start again.

This is getting dangerous though. I stopped eating breakfast and now it's just a brownie.

Here I go again. :laughtwo:

........ Mornin' Mr. McCain. Feeling closer to what we think of as normal today?

I'll take that on nivek. I just finished the class on treating cancer with cannabis. Whoa! That was intense. I need a serious challenge, and this is it. I took two teeny hoots, but I'll stop inhalation and eat a bud instead. It may take a while longer, but I'll have a better idea of what it'll be like as an edible, my preference.

You were so sweet to be here before I took the next hoot. :hugs:

I even have coffee sitting here to chase it down. DDA2, the hempy girl.

It's 9:51. Let's see how long it takes. I'm up all night, from the looks of it. :laughtwo:

The bud alone wasn't as effective, but that may have been more about size than anything else. It still kicked me, just not as hard as brownies. The liquid sunflower lecithin is a large part of the effectiveness of the brownies.

Rifleman, you have some lucky friends. Remember, dosage.

I will be soon Sue. I had an egg sammich way early today, and just now ate my daily brownie. Waiting on the wave to wash me away. :surf:

Dosage ?! :trance: It won't matter if I tell them half a brownie, my moron friends will eat both brownies I plan on giving them at the same time. Bunch of clowns they are. :clown:

I've grown very fond of that wave. It seems to feel sweeter every morning. Mine hit within ten minutes. Yours? :battingeyelashes:

This just made me laugh. :laughtwo: Serves them right. Lol!

About 15 min in I start feeling it. Call me crazy but I seem to get a second wave if I'll eat something fatty about three hours afterward. :)

:yahoo: Its not just me Lucas! It's not just me. I'll tell you, I'm unique enough in so many ways that I'm never quite sure. I think last year everyone thought I was just crazy.

Thank you for listening this time. I'm really excited about this. :slide: I'm eating my breakfast brownie right now. :laughtwo: I'm not far behind.

I've noted a secondary kick at the 90 minute point, and then if I eat after another hour and a half or so it shoots me right back up. One brownie, three sweet slaps, one 5-7 hour buzz. Best ever, in my own experience. I sense you're finding the same with yours? :battingeyelashes:

That is just about exactly how it hits me. It's been a busy day of water changes, and wrestling trees out for photos so I just got my Sunday brownie. Only my second joint too. Does that qualify as a tolerance break for me.:rofl::rofl:

Water Change and photo day at The Roost. :)

Top photos are of AU 1 and 2, the bottom half are the six shooter sisters. You'll be able to tell them by the shorter stature and their larger buds. Normally I'd label who is who, but with what it took to get them out of the tent, photographed, put up, media moved to a computer I could crop on, that separated, uploaded, processed, etc... well you get the idea. I've fooled with it enough and I'm in need of a fatty. :biglaugh: Yeah I know it sounds like I'm crying. Picture yourself moving top heavy trees in and out of a 4x8 tent in a 7x9 room and taking photos from the hallway so you get the whole plant in it. :biglaugh: Now you know why all the rest of the photos will be from inside the tent. :)

Water consumption was 10.5, 18, 18, and 20 quarts. If you're interested I can tell you who drank what, just ask. The SS girls received a cut in the mgb this week as they are crisping right through leaf tips. Pretty much everything else is the same as always. Click the pics for larger versions, and don't be shy about commenting. Neither Roscoe nor me bite.

Looking Stellar!

Thanks Trig. :thankyou:

beautiful Rifle. How much topping did you do and does it benefit you to have the plants growing straight up for more room purposes? Do you use any side lighting or is there enought penetration to reach those lower buds?

I just waited until they were about 54" and pinched their little necks until they flopped over. One of them actually snapped and had to be splinted and taped. I don't top my autos because it's rare to have one outgrow the light. LOL, not rare but not the norm. :)

No side lighting, and nothing special. Just four dwc buckets, one 600-1000w hps, and a passion to grow. :)

i have to get me another tent so i can do an Auto Grow. So many people doing it and most look really nice. Im thinking maybe a 3x3 tent. Maybe i could get some insider secrets to which autos grow the biggest. I grew a couple years ago but they never got over 12 inches tall.

I've got another tent, a Mars 4x4. They are under $130 now. Fine addition to my equipment. :thumb:
I've gotten some big RQS strains, and now these two from DP. Several others out there. Look at the top twenty auto beans at Herbies website and it'll give you an idea. :)

Here is what's going on in the secondary tent. My dark devils stacking nodes on top of each other.

Damn! They look pretty. Must be time for me to start my next one. Lol! I'm decarbing the last I have on hand that'll be enough for brownies. Next pan will be Carnival. I really need to learn to grow them bigger. I have a voracious appetite for this strain. :laughtwo:

Those are some awfully pretty statuesque beauties you're growing there Rifleman. :battingeyelashes:

Awwww shucks, thanks Sue. :bigblush: A dwc bucket can be put together for next to nothing. You might lose some flavor, but volume Shirley makes up for it. :)

DWC was what Dale and I were planning to run when soil caught my eye. Two years in and I'm still trying to decide which approach suits me most. I'm looking for simplicity and quality. At the moment I'm considering shifting the entire grow to Doc's soil, and then I found spider mites in that tent too.

Evidentally, whichever method you choose it's advisable to get environment under control. :laughtwo: Almost to the point where I'll start paying closer attention. I found myself looking at humidifiers today. Lol! This started out to be a simple process of plant and harvest.
