Update on Sunday....
 
The backbuilding should indeed help fill out them buds! :) looking mighty damn fine!
 
HOpe so LA....she looks mighty thin right now.

Gotta tell you the density of the buds are pretty tight. When I grabbed on the tops to tip it was thick and has some weight to them....nice...LOL.

Ok so it's me the jokester....LOL.

Anyway, mid week update with not much changing on this end.

18 Nov 14, Tuesday, Day 123, Week 18 Day 4, Day 45 of 12/12, Week 6 Day 39 of Pistils, 6th week of Snow Storm spray

Plant is drinking a lot so I put back 2 gallons of nutrients yesterday. Will do another put back on Friday.

No noticeable changes after tipping them on Thursday. At least we have a huge frost build up. Looks like it's stacking up on each other..... The smell has a nice blue smell to it. Big reason why I choose this strain was because to the "Blue" in it. The other reason is the blue tint to them. Still waiting on that one...LOL.

Will take some scope pics tomorrow.

I've seen dozens of great LED grows, but I never see "awesome" LED grows. I've yet to see a harvested LED grow out perform HIDs. They are great grows, don't get me wrong, but most (not all) though less heat, deep light penetration, etc...don't out do HID or outdoor sun.

I'd say the fact that most HID growers are switching to LED clearly makes a case for a better overall performance of LED's. One has to wonder how much more electricity one cares to invest in cooling and ventilation for product that is only a tad better, if at all.

Have you seen this ?
 
What a great educational thread for me! I'm about to finish my current grow and will try fluxing myself then .. I will be building heavily on your journal!

Your DWC system .. what are those corner holes that you covered for ? Is there a tutorial of any kind (even just a basic explanation will do) for this system ? I will move from soil to DWC next grow, if I can get the needed equipment within budget range, and your grow seems like a perfect one to model for me :)

Had to scroll back up to see what the hell you guys are talking about....LOL.

Our "Spider" gurl of course....

IMO the pics are deceiving... I've been trolling too many other gardens to know she could be better. You know I'm right cause you've caught me in your garden from time to time. So thank you for the kind words. She really hasn't fattened up since tipping her but from a distance (and bad pics...LOL) she looks great.

HOWEVER....upon close inspection I must say that I am at least very, very happy with the frost. And we all know the better the frost, them more trichomes....and the more trichomes the more THC.

And did I mention the smell....LOL. My gwad...I love the smell of berry when I walk into the room...or at least open the cabinet. A true treat for those that like the fruity side of things.

Once the lower growth is cleared out the Spider performs as expected. The lower buddage is proof of that. They may be small to almost popcorn but the frost build up on them says it all.

I can not wait until I get a proper cure out of her. Blue Mystic already rocks in my opinion (been tasting some trim...lol) and it's just the beginning....

Scoped her and looks like the cloudy is building. Got bad eyes so if you guys see anything I can't let me know....

Make sure you check in at "Flux Central" for the real lessons....this one failed in may areas. LA gets the credit for the Flux Craze....

As for my DWC, it is a six pod lid but I custom ordered a lid for options and came up with a 5 pod lid. It's only a six gallon (7 at the most) res so I will never do that many. Well maybe to do a 90 scrog grow. But for me it's quality and fun. Just a hobby.... With a 5 pod I can do one (current) or up to 3. 3 because each plant should get at least 2 gallons or more.

As far as help with DWC....420 is an open forum for all to learn. Ask here and everywhere else. Like Kevin says....if you ask they will help...LOL. Or something like that....LOL.
