Update on popcorn buds.... Pulled some on Sunday and Tuesday.
Sunday's popcorn was placed in smallest of canning jars and left uncovered. On Tuesday I placed a small piece of paper towel in the bottom of the jar. It took 4 days to finally start to crisp up and jar was finally closed tonight. Will burp till it's gone.
Tuesday's popcorn was also placed in the small canning jars but this time a small piece of paper towel and rice was placed in the bottom. Rice, then paper towel then popcorn. After a day, it is actually crisping up and could be sealed tomorrow. We'll have to see.
Smoke is awesome. Letting most of it go thru a proper cure. Well at least not rushing it. Some was set aside to test and was oven dried. If done very slow and temp down low the popcorn crisped up and we were able to light it. High comes on very fast, like within 5 mins. Still able to focus and go thru my day but if I smoke before bed time or at the end of the evening settling in on the couch I get stuck to the couch and most of the time get a good restful nap. Or sleeping thru the night peacefully.
Her feeding has slowed and only needed 1 gallon of put back nutrients in 5 days. At her peak she was drinking about a gallon every 2 days. I will still change res this weekend, in fact it will be the last time.
Sugar leafs are beginning to grow again but I'm sure this is just for show. She will not wait till the weekend of the 13th. So we will be watching her closely in the next week or so and will harvest then.
