Renegade's Hydro Flux - Featuring TwiLight Group's 432 Watt Spider COB LED

Put back water. Drained 3 gallons of water and put back 2 gallons of nutrients at GH's week 8 strength.

Slight defol on larger fans. Not too many fans this go round. Did a slight defol last weekend so not expecting to HAVE to defol this time but took some fans to play with anyway.

Plant continues to build and highest point is now within 6" of light with no noticeable burn effects. Colas sites continue to grow into each other. Gave a few sights a small pinch to see how dense and was pleasantly surprised to find them firm not airy.

The smell is oh so nice. Almost a blue...something smell to them. And the leaves are very, very sticky.
 
So let's call this next statement....."THC Test, Smoke Value in Defol'd fans?

I say value.... Tested fans with high trichomes buildup last weekend. First week high was slow in coming on and light and short lived. That was week 3 into bloom. Trichomes had started to reach beyond bud sites and were starting to form on the fans that were growing out of the bud sites. Kept the fans that had the highest trichomes buildup. Made about a nice sized joint.

This week the defol'd fans (i use that statement for an excuse for clipping the fans at all...LOL) had about 75% trichomes buildup. Again, quick dried (I know, never do this...LOL) and rolled a few joints (had enough to roll 3 cool sized ones).



Burned half of ooooonnnnneeeeeeeeee....................

Need I say more...LOL. Been blabbing for the last 30mins....(in my mind it was 30mins because it took me that long to write it....LOL) and you've been reading along so we both must be high....LM...F'n....AO.....

But really folks....LOL. Nice little buzz.... Light and heady, energetic type buzz. Came on within 10mins of lighting up.

So in conclusion...Smoke Value or Not??? And when actually is a good time to begin testing the THC in your buds? That's up to you. But I think going forward I will begin testing when I have a high trichomes buildup. Remember the THC is produced in the trichomes...or that's where it comes from....or something like that...LOL.

Strain is Nirvana's "Blue Mystic" with a 7-9 week bloom period. She veg'd for 11 weeks before flipping to 12/12. We are beginning of week 5 of bloom.

Anyway.... Been uptight all week with work and an upcoming move and right now I feel good...LOL.

And that's enough testing of the plant. I will wait till harvest for the real test. Got some friends lined up for a hell of a Christmas gift.

Also, I'm holding off on back budding this week. Want to give her a chance to fill in some more. The clock on back budding is to wait at list more than half way through bloom. Next weekend I'll be in week 6 of a 7-9 week bloom period.

Just has a somethin blue in it. Berry or otherwise. And the smell outside the cabinet in the room is dam near overpowering.....in a good way...LOL.

Little update....

So res change and snow storm a day early this week because of out of town business.

Got back this evening and this is where she stands.....NICE....LOL.

Left main head is now within 5 1/2" from light. Still, no noticeable burn issues.

Check'd PH....5.8 and check water level. Looks like she's in another spurt. Took about 1 gallon and 1/2 in 2 days. Will put back on Tuesday instead of Wednesday.

Plant looks like Jack f'n frost sprinkled dust over them while I was away. I attribute the frost to HC's "Snow Storm Ultra". The AG didn't have near as much frost at this stage in her grow. And we still have 4 weeks to go...LOL. Of all the things that Kind and others have suggested this one seems to be the best so far. "Snow Storm Ultra" was designed to product more trichomes build up. And that it does.

Gonna play with the microscope tomorrow night to see the trichomes up close.

13 Nov 14, Thursday, Day 118, Week 17 Day 6, Day 40 of 12/12, Week 5 Day 34 of Pistils, 5th week of Snow Storm spray.

Evening at lights on....
Air=73-97
RH=28-56
PH=5.8

Tonight we tipped her for back budding. Res change out on Friday. Last time for snow storm on Saturday morning.

The smell is awesome. No longer concerned about it just going to being cautious. Pulled enough tips to dry out and test over the weekend. The buds are dense as hoped so we'll see how the back budding goes. Noticing the pistils are yellowing a bit. Scoped her last night and looks like the trichomes are about 25%. But I can't really tell so I'm guessing at this point.

Beginning of week six of bloom so looking for a couple weeks for hopeful fattening up then chop. Around the weekend of December 06 which would be week 8. Blue Mystic is a 7-9 week bloom plant.
