Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Dog

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Fantastic Conrad! Hopefully the week of sun will really get them going. The ultra dogs are looking the best IMHO. Short, stacked and strong. I thought the SLH was sturdier than that to get branches knocked down. The one my buddy grew outside was strong as hell. I like the tying technique you used on the og. Should really help with the yield.

This season I'll spray for the first time bacillus thuringiensis agains bud worms, and hope it'll work. They only destroy small part of the crop, but they are annoying.

Yeah, man. I hate those little fuckers. I think I'll take 1 or 2 of my clones & these 2 Mephisto: Heisenberg (Auto) seeds and throwing them outside. Although, it's 90-110 w/ 80+ RH ALL SUMMER LONG here. It's fucking HORRIBLE.

UDs are by far the best hybrids I ever grew, as you say they stay stacked, they are neither slow nor fast growers, I'd say they're stable growers. They are very wind and heat resistant, and they branch out like crazy producing long heavy buds that have perfect calyx-to-leaf ratio. Thanks you know who for making such a fantastic cross!

SLH is getting very hazey, I think I hit famous piss pheno here. Branches are brittle indeed, much more than on OG, but these that got staked aren't broken, they just got stomped a little bit, and most likely will live to see another day. I've been watching pics of SLH grown outdoor and these tops they start stretching a lot later on, but I hope they won't need support.

In this climate (Florida?), you can still grow kickass weed if you find the right genetics.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

So today I went for a visit, we smoked a Colombian joint, got into some talk, so I can show you finally promised indoor pictures of Ultra Dog. It's not there yet but it's middle flowering, and very soon it should be ok for a chop. I think these plants are about 5 weeks now into flowering more or less.

My friend got two phenos basically: OG pheno and Chem pheno which didn't get enough veg time and she's not so happy with too little foliage, so she's started yellowing on middle leaves. Well basically my friend got something of a SOG setup cause OG phenos with their big central cola can be grown that way apparently :laughtwo: Nice fruity/musky smell from these buds like they're supposed to be. I also advised him to use lithothamnium in flowering, so he does it, and I think it improved his grow. The nugs on these plants are rock-hard, and he's really satisfied as he says not all plants finish that way. The single plant is an OG pheno.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Very cool Dawgs Conrad! A little more stretchy indoors it looks like. Maybe because they weren't topped? Love that outdoor picture.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Hmm I don't think so. I mean I don't know when he flipped exactly but it looks to me like they less than doubled in flowering. But you're right he didn't top them so he could pack them tightly in his small tent.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Yeah that's probably it. Yours are just so short and stacked. But looking at it again, you're right, they are pretty short. Looks like a strain I would really love!

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Oh yeah I don't doubt it, although it's more obvious for me now it's more of a 50/50 strain with some phenos being more up and some more relaxing. But I smoke a joint and I can feel high creeping in just after 4-5 tokes, much less from a bong  Chemdawg really pushed the potency in this cross!

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Speaking of chemdawg, you've got to check out the purple leafed HSO Chemdawg over at Bobrown's yard. Might be the most beautiful plant I've seen in a couple years.

I'm really loving the HSO Lost Coast OG. I believe it's the chem in it that makes it so addictive. The flavor is unbelievable.

Does your ultra dawg have that chem flavor?

Oh yeah especially Boom pheno, very piney/chemical taste with stinging lemon on the top and some dry flavors as well.

I'll check that plant I'm curious. Also interested in Lost Coast OG, so many strains so little time :passitleft:

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Hmm doc you've definitely put me to the test  I've just had a big lunch, fritto misto with totani, alici e verdure... and before I noticed I drank most of the pinot grigio bottle I bought for it  Well to explain myself temps are going towards 28-30C in the shadow which are middle to high 80's in your parts  I rolled an afterlunch one with UD just after I finished with Neil Young & The Crazy Horse LP... nice foldout cover by the way, I've started thinking about these seeded bricks I've never seen in my life  Well Boom pheno has definitely gassy taste, and this is after AU which is like combination of truffles & lemon basically. But yeah chemicals come out straight away in smell and in taste, hard to describe really cause there are roasted chestnusts as well I don't know if you know the smell/taste very typical for northern Italy in the autumn. But yeah main hit comes from spicy/chemical and tangy smell that has sweet underlining of raspberry marmalade I think. That's how I can get a grip on it  :passitleft:

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Oh yeah it started well... to be honest my wife has been ill for 3 months almost and now we know it's a food intolerance!

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Thanks C! :thanks:

I knew what Frito Misto was, but had never heard squid called totani in Italian.

Looks delicious, I would love it if you posted some of your lovely food pics on my food thread.

What's the intolerance? The usual suspect Gluten? Or something else?

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

I don't really know Bapple, I'm not a doctor but it's some kind stomach disorder very hard to diagnose cause symptoms are acute and you have to do 3rd level blood panel to check for it.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Sorry to hear that Conradino.

You are into natural growing so I think also into healthy eating....have you ever heard of Kombucha tea? Brew her up some (order a scoby off Amazon UK)while the tests are going on.....

the mods get irritated with off topic convos in the cannabis threads, so if you reply go to my food thread, we don't want to irritate the mods:sorry:

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Oh I'd love to find out sth about it. The truth is I told her even to try weed but with her strong panic attacks it usually fueled it , so we stopped with that. She tried 500 types of drugs by the way including mixture of diazepines with painkillers and anti spasmatic drugs... and the only thing that ever alleviated discomfort was chamomille tea! I've been so pissed with doctors that nobody ever figured it could be food intolerance, lactose mostly and yeast, that I question again this fucked up system of public health service... but I don't wanna go into that cause I start seeing red.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

That's a good description of the chem flavor Conrad. For me it's like Meyer's Lemons with a gassy kind of sweet kerosene flavor. I definitely get caramel and toasted almonds in the exhale at lower temps. The higher the vape temp the more earthy and nutty it gets but it always has that addictive sweet kerosene gassy chem flavor. WiFi had this in spades but more Lemon than the LCOG. The fire OG must be related very closely to Chemdawg! I think this flavor is something I don't ever want to be without. :Namaste: :lot-o-toke:

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

They say that OG Kush should finish with lemoney, piney or fuely smell, depending how skilled you are in growing it and what cut you grow. Last year I got this piney/gassy/fuely flavor from it by the time I chopped it, and this is really something I have to admit. This rarely comes through in taste, which is very musky, peppery, full of sweet spices and maybe lightly piney. Chemdawg '91 on the other hand I don't know, cause I never grew a cut or a seed, but I know what it gave Ultra Dog and sweet/tangy/gassy smell of kerosene is about right I think.
