Well, I did everything that I was suppose to when it came to starting a clone. I attempted 2 clones, one from plant one and the other from plant 2. For some reason after making the cut clone1 immediately began to wilt..Why is that? I put it in water with the hydrogen peroxide immediately after cutting it. I made sure I didn't forget to scrape it, cut it up the middle and everything..*pouting*...But clone2 seem to be just fine, no drooping or anything. I remembered about cutting the leaves in half but do you have to do it to all the leaves or just one? So, I am hoping for a miracle that clone 1 will perk back up. And I used Clonex rooting gel. Somebody tell me what I did wrong?

i dont think you did anything wrong, sometimes they wilt,just how it is,keep the humidity up mist often the first couple days, they usually stand back up pretty quick, some never wilt, cannabis is pretty easy to take cuttings from by comparison to many plants, i guess its no big deal to me cuz i have been doing it for years with other plants, so the first time i did it i had no fear i can "clone" African violets (notoriously difficult), all these girls need is humidity,warmth,and time,:high-five:
soon you may go clone crazy and do what i did ,i had so many clones going i was giving them away 6 at a time lol, before long you'll look at your plants nd see all the perfect shoots for cloning lol, about the light, im not gonna say that cfl's are better than mh, outright, but you already have them,money is tight, and many growers including myself feel they are better for veg,:adore:
i have seen hundreds of pictures of both used for veg,and i honestly feel the ones under fluros look better,denser growth,tighter inter node spacing,and much less power consumption,and mh puts out more heat than even hps!!!:thedoubletake: and with cfl you have multiple light sources and get them right up close right where you need them most:headbang:, mh will burn them really easily , it is good if you need to cover a larger area , bigger than your closet,and you'll likely need to add cfl's for shaded areas, so its just my opinion,, but for your application i think cfl is perfect:high-five: :thumb::adore:

you would need a few they are only 17watts and a little over 1000 lumens
but i see them being very useful for side,stealth and supplemental lighting:high-five:

Thanks Vince. Yeah, I have come a long way haven't I? In such a short time too. I didn't think I would like growing but I have come to love it. Would like to do a veggie garden inside..I am going to start looking into that. But I assume it is pretty much the same as growing mj..And yes today is my birthday...bf plans on cooking me shrimp cerviche for dinner along with baking me a cake.

It was more like...bf: ups is outside!!! next thing I know he is at the door and back up with huge box in his arms...bf: lets put it together now...me: yeah but lets wait for the lights to come on first...bf: oh yeah...a few hours later....bf: lights are on come on...lol..I still say he was more excited than I was. He already wants to get another one. But at this point it will be on hold because I am hoping to be moving when my lease is up in May. I would like to find a 2 bedroom and use the extra room just for growing. I really need the space.

Hey Warrior,
I have come to posses 240 or so bulbs Like 10 cases from a Borders store that closed. I got them for free. They are as follows

Philips Alto II F32T8/ADV830/EW
so they are T8 bulbs
lumens 2725
color index 82
color temp 3000
design mean
lumen 2645
watts 28
life hrs 36000

I found fixtures at Lowes and HD. Would these be appropriate to grow with? I was thinking to add them to my veg and flower rooms since I have so many. Veg has 1 1000watt MH and the flower will have 2 1000watt HPS....
