Hey 420. Today is flowering day 4 for the new flowering plants. I super-cropped all of the tallest branches to stop them from escaping and leaving the Critical Jack behind. The plants are just kicking in now and growing faster each day. I have been right so far in my prediction that the rest would be taller than the CJ and she does appear to be growing outwards more than the rest.
I trained these plants to have eight mains each before the flip but I snapped one on the Hashplant D so she might have 7 in the morning. It looks like it's getting more limp as the day has gone on so I dont expect it to survive. Never mind. 7 colas is still fine with me. I snapped them a little better than I did with the previous plants but I still expect to see some rise back up over night.
There's not much else to report on at the moment other than that the plants are getting healthier as they were a little shabby last week.
Time for some pics....

Crumbled Lime #1.

Today I thought we could do a little update for each strain in the 200w tent.
The first Crumbled Lime is a short and stocky plant with an indica appearance and reminds me of the Bubba Kush strains stature only with more narrow leaves and brighter colours. It is a very branchy but also very firm plant. It would take some pretty heavy buds to drag even the sides down. I like the look of this plant very much and think she could make a great plant to grow sea of green. Shes low and has a good amount of bud production on each cola, even the weak ones.
She has a nice amount of frost and smells fantastic. Floral and doughy with a sweetness to it which is backed by a good kick of OG something lol....

Crumbled Lime #2.

This one gets the Cookies look and is plastered in frost. Almost completely different to the first though there are some similarities. The Smell is similar though it doesnt have as much OG goodness to it. I'd say that this one will probably be more fruity at the end. The overall colour to the leaves and the plant in general but that is where the similarities end. This one has longer and much straighter colas with much less side branching than the first. The flower formations are much more like a cookies strain as well. The flowers are covered in ice and are still developing.
This plant is even more appealing to work with for me as you could get many side by side with less work than with the first pheno. I can't quite decide which I think is prettier though and think that both are different enough to keep though if they taste the same and have the same effects then I would probably keep this one as it is easier and will have less work involved....

Hoe Down....

The beauty of the group. This plant has some fantastic colouring appearing all over her swollen calyx bud sites. She will only be a medium yielding plant but those flowers are very dense and will be a bliss to trim. She's not finished yet but the fade is getting better with each day. She has a very nice smell which is complicated and difficult to describe. Chem, lavender, purple, candy, and cough medicine are all things which jump into my head after I smell it but there is more to it. I think the slightly lower yields will be worth it with this one....

StarCake.

I'm warming to this plant a little more and feel less "meh" about it now. I think this one could have benefitted with a bit more space. It has become a bit scrunched up and there is plenty of growth on the inside which hasn't received enough light. The parts which have received enough light are looking pretty good. She has some good frost but her smell is still a little plain at the moment. I could describe it as fruity and a little bit skunky....

Phantom Cookies Domina.

This plant has the same problem as the SarCake but x2 lol. It looks like it could have been a monster yielding plant as it just has so much bud. The problem is that the plant is too dense for the space that it is in. I could have probably done with shaving it up a bit more. The buds are like little eggs collected in clusters on the numerous branches but look like they are still shooting hairs. There is some fade appearing on the tips of the flowers but I think this is because of cool night temps. All of the plants have purple tips come to think of it lol. This one has an earthy aroma with some deep fruit just beginning to come through. It is an interesting strain....

French Macaron.

The FM is the baby of the group really. She's a squat little plant with delicate and stinky little flowers and I dont think she will give up much. I sure that it will be nice smoke though as she really does have a good smell. It is kinda minty and sour with a definite cookie influence. She is pretty frosty and has a very greasy feel to her leaves. I just wished that she was a bit bigger. The fowers are still quite underdeveloped so she may bulk up a little....

Double D's.

Finally we have the DD's. This plant is quite pretty but it isn't really all that much to shout about, at least not yet anyway. There is literally not much to look at as it is so small but you can see that it is going to grow tall and straight. I dont know how much side branching to expect from her if she is grown properly but Id imagine that there would be a bit. This plant is all about the smell. It is still the best by far and is super chemmy. It has a very pungent and offensive smell which is becoming apparent over the other plants. There are fruity citrus notes and spicy herbal hints mixed with gas and rubber lol. Evil stuff and yes. I will definitely try to re-veg her....

Good morning all. We have some decent weather today so I thought I'd show you how the Auto Purple Gorilla is coming along....
DSC01752.JPG

The short answer is very well but slow. Maybe LOS is just much slower than what I'm used to. The plant is looking very green and almost looks good. I topped her just after the last time I did an update on her and since then she has picked up the pace. The cat has had another go and there are still slugs and aphids on her almost daily but she is still growing and has actually begun to flower. At this rate I will probably have another couple of harvests indoors before we see this one finish up.
I'm still using the anerobic tea as the only added source of nutrients so I guess this is officially my first LOS grow. I've done Biobizz organic grows before but I'm not sure if they are true LOS. I am excited to see how the flowers turn out but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I'm half expecting it to just die one day either by being savaged by a beast or killed by disease.
We had a good frost a week ago and all of her leaves went droopy but a couple days later she was back up and looking happy again. I think I may have started her too early in the season as now she looks better and feels a bit faster. I might try another auto outdoors soon but I only have super stinky strains. Here are some more pics of her first thing this morning....(Warning @MrSauga Spider-Man was in town)....

That thing runs very quickly lol. I've not seen one that big before. Normally they are about the size of your thumbnail but that one was like half the size of my thumb. Shivers.

Here are some more spider free pics....

The in-laws were going to throw out this out of date seafood curry they found at the bottom of the freezer. I said that id have it so I could stink up the neighbourhood....

The cat would very much like it even if it is frozen....

I dropped the plastic tray in the soup so now I have to wait for the curry to defrost before scooping the tray out. Karma!....

Oof... ugly SOB. May his silk get caught in his testicles when webbing.
LOL! Poor spider. He was only trying to earn some brownie points for protecting my little bush. As you well know there are plenty of spiders around my house. It is that time of year again when they all start coming out of hiding and going into my grow tents as they are awesome places to be if you have eight legs. That is until I forget to water the plants and the humidity drops. Then everything that doesnt eat plants dies very quickly. Remember that frog?

You got any advice for me, I'm in a pickle. I just ran out of ph down and my DWC plants are slowly rising in alkalinity. I'm getting them pool ph down, its the only thing I can find in this small town. I have two different shipments of ph down coming but they won't be here in time. Any ideas or advice?

I've managed to finalize a 6 month DWC grow just with lemon juice once. I think it was eight years ago. As Prof. said, you should just check more frequently. I was dropping lemon juice twice a day.

Things are looking great Prof. :passitleft: I am drying my harvest now and Purple Punch tastes f*ck*ng incredible like you said. The most potent strain I've grown for a long time. I wish I could get these nugs lab tested.

I want to share some pictures of the oil came from the Purple Punch. I harvested this plant without gloves and dunked my hand into cold ethanol when the procecess finished. Nothing sticky left on my fingers, palm or elbows and the color of ethanol turned to amber. I poured this ethanol in cooking paper and waited for it to evaporate. I have 0.97g of fine quality oil in the end. I literally had zero waste on this harvest. I will make more of this oil but I will first collect the pollen with dry ice, then mix these with alcohol and winterize. Very clean and efficient method on your harvests. I am very glad to have this piece of oil instead of wasting the stuff on my hands. Here it is;

That oil looks pretty damn amazing. I really need some ethanol. I only have ISO at the moment and I dont have much of that left. I have 4 grinders that need a good clean and could probably get a decent smoke from each of them.

I'll be over to check out your Purple Punch harvest later today. I really like the PP and since harvesting the Barneys strains it is probably my new favourite. I was leaning towards the Shishkaberry at first but have changed my mind. The Shish is a great all-round strain but the PP is special. Proper funky smoke.

Hope your well today TC

Well it seems that things can get much worse. I've just found out that one of my friends died in his sleep yesterday morning. He was only 32. I haven't seen him in a couple of years and just like that he is gone. I wont be able to go to his funeral either because of the lockdown. I feel pretty empty right now
Sorry to read this buddy. Thankfully peaceful way to leave this plain. Brings mortality home to roost too. We are so lucky to beneath each day with our loved ones. Be strong mate

Hey 420. It has been a little while since the damping off claimed all of my seeedlings, and it did claim them all. Not one survived lol. Oh well. That was then and this is now. The veg tent has been temporarily upgraded and currently contains everything which isn't flowering except for the auto and some HPD cuttings in a glass on a shelf....

I will be putting these into flower tomorrow....

The White Widow and the Blueberry Cookies have yet to show any signs of recovery and actually look a little worse....
DSC01599.JPG

The Critical Jack and the Tropicanna Banana clones which survived. The damping off got to the clones as well. The Critical Jack survived and had roots but the rest had started to go mouldy....

Damn buddy, what's amiss. Not like you to struggle so much with getting moving??. Fingers , legs , toes and eyes crossed for you now mate.
