Hey 420. Time for an update!
Firstly,
@Carcass, you were most likely correct and I have listened to your concerns regarding the using of the fridge for drying the flowers. This morning when I got up, I checked the damp paper towel in the fridge and it was still damp. I thought I'd leave it and see if it was any better after an 8 hour shift at work. It was still damp. I then noticed the hygrometer which was reading 99% RH....
Needless to say, I aborted this method for drying and will return to it once again in the future. I'll be needing a better fridge which will have to wait until next year sometime. Now the buds are drying on a rack in the veg tent.
So. On to the positive stuff. Over the last few days I have been slowly working my way through the harvest of my most recent flowered plants. It was not the easiest harvest that I have ever done though it wasn't too bad. Some of the plants were easy to trim up but a few others were a bit tricky as there was a lot of bushy growth which needed to be removed in order to find the flowers.
Basically, it goes like this. The G-Mint's were both awesome. Solid plants with amazing flowers. These 2 plants were the best of the grow and I'd happily grow them again. They were both very different but were also excellent. The GTA's were next with one (GTA #1) being the largest yielder of the grow and having great smelling weed. This plant was the 3rd that I would consider a keeper. The GTA #3 was also pretty good though didn't quite make make the cut compared to the 3 which I've just mentioned. So, those 4 were good, the rest were not so good. GTA #2 (the indica looking one) had more spots of mould on her in places, most of which was on stems which meant that I didn't lose too much flower. However the mould was creeping its way into the centres of the largest flowers and after another week this could have been devastating. It smells good and looks nice but the plant itself is no good for me and my situation. So that brings us onto the Pine Tar Kushes. PTK #1 was OK. The flowers were quite small but she was bushy and had lots of them. It's OK I guess. Not too much to shout about. Then we are left with 2 bad plants. The other 2 PTK's weren't great with PTK #2 having problems for most of the flowering period. PTK #3 was the worst though. All of her large flowers ended up with rot in the centre of them. She also had quite a lot of pollen sacks which went unnoticed until the harvest. It doesn't appear to have caused problems and I didn't notice any seeded flowers when trimming them up but it is a very undesirable trait.
So that's a lot of words. Time for some pics.
Here are the plants final pics before harvest....

Some more pics....
I didn't get many pics of the harvest as everything was so sticky lol. I litterally couldn't put the scissors down let alone pic up a camera. I managed to get a pic of the tent becoming empty....
Here is the bad GTA....
I harvested the smaller plants first and was left with these 4.
The GTA #4 took almost 3 hours to trim up....
The G-Mint #2 was the best plant, hands down!....
This plant (GTA #3) was OK. Nice purple stems though....
PTK #3 had some nice potential and looked great for most of the grow. Then the mould and the pollen sacks started appearing....
This is a GTA #1 branch. Here's to you, 420....
So that is part 1 of this evenings update. Next we must return to the veg tent to see the chopped flowers, then to find out how the veg plants are and finally to get the flowering space ready for round 2. Also we have to make some bubble hash though that won't be tonight. We'll do that on Saturday or Sunday....maybe.
