Producing Feminized Seeds Using Colloidal Silver

Great work so far Granny, I know you will have continued success!! Looking forward to seeing some seeds in those buds very soon! I can't believe I would even say such a thing, but my knowledge has grown and I now know sometimes that it's a wonderful thing to have a premo feminized seed growing. Thanks for the very nice journal:adore::bravo: It's about to kick off now.

The next time i use CS, it will not be excessively. It would have been better for me to spray a little less. I have about 500 pollen sacs or so, and I really only needed maybe 50 or so... It really goes a long way. I now wish I didn't spray the tops of the plants lol, I missed out on the nice top nugs, but otherwise it worked nicely. Good luck Dr.!
Happy holidays all!

I sprayed the first time late last night, a Diesel and an AKxSk#1. Top half of the plant. Have the potential seed bearers lined up to go into flower in a week, Diesel a plant I have kept for more than a year now. If this works for me it will make things so much easier with less dependency on cuttings.

HOPE EVERYONE HAD A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

:Love::Love::Love:R2MNot:Love::Love::Love: :high-five:Sex hints! :rofl:

:Love::Love:DrRedWhite:Love::Love::Love: I see you got started!!! :bravo: Please make sure you keep us updated!!!

:Love::Love:voltron:Love::Love::Love: :thanks: so much honey!!! Hope all is good for you!!!

:Love::Love:NotaDrinker:Love::Love::Love: Yes, a little DOES go a long way! You'll have enough pollen to pollinate EVERYONE'S CROPS!!!

Sorry to make replies so short... I am running out of time (again - EEK!!!)

Be back in a short with an update and more...

UPDATE

Going to just be a fast update!!!

Here was the top of the Auto Himalaya Blue Diesel on the 22nd - the last day I pollinated...
12-22-2011_AutoBlueHimilaya_BeforePollinate.jpg

You could see the hairs were still going strong, which led me to believe it had not been pollinated yet, so I pollinated again on the 22nd and again yesterday, the 27th...
Now here is the top with the flash...
12-28-2011_AutoBlueHimilaya_AfterPollinate.jpg

And without the flash, which shows clearer that the hairs (pistils) have browned...
12-28-2011_AutoBlueHimilaya_AfterPollinate2.jpg

Remember, that is a plant I am using the bottom of the plant (treated and has sacs) to pollinate the top of the plant. Looks to me like I have had success - but am not taking the pollen sacs off until I am absolutely positive!!!

Then.... I wanted so badly to use the pollen from the auto Cream Caramel and the Auto Blueberry to pollinate the waiting females of those strains in my flower room... but alas, the females are almost finished and too late to pollinate...

And... the plants are making it very difficult for me to obtain pollen, as you will see in the next images of the Auto Blueberry. Here is the plant...
12-22-2011_AutoBlueberry.jpg

This plant was sprayed completely, but because it was so dense, the center didn't get it's buds sprayed very well (I tried tho!)... I had pollen sacs on the top which I took last week as my last hope for viable pollen for this plant's waiting female... but alas, she didn't take and is almost done...

But the MJ Goddess smiles on everyone, and I think (pretty sure) I may be producing seed on THE ABOVE plant.

Here is a pic of the bottom of her, you can see some pollen sacs, which by the way are still NOT opening, but are yellowing...
12-22-2011_AutoBlueberry_BottomSacs.jpg

And I can't see much "inside" this plant because it is awfully dense... but I CAN see many areas where I believe seed is forming without me having done anything!!!
Do you see what I see? Cuz it sure isn't the hairy buds this plant had a couple weeks ago!!
12-22-2011_AutoBlueberry_BelieveTopSeeded.jpg

The above plant had a mixture of buds, pollen sacs, and nanas going on in the central part of the plant... and I really think the darn thing seeded itself along the way. Again, the pollen sacs on this plant have NOT opened up. And I don't believe anything else pollinated it because there is no air flow in that closet and no other plant's buds have been pollinated.

It may just save my ass, cuz I have not been able to pollinate the auto blueberry or cream caramel and the females for both are about to be harvested. But... I think both treated plants are making their own seeds quite nicely without me.

What I think is happening to a few plants, is self-pollination due to being turned PARTIALLY and allowed to grow on... I will keep watching this and will report more as I learn it!!

For example, I am watching a few other plants that were started later...
Here is an Aurora Indica with a mixture in the middle...
12-27-2011_AuroraIndica_CS.jpg

And here is an Auto Widow Ryder with a mixture...
12-27-2011_AutoWidowRyder_CS_MixedBuds.jpg

Same pic, but I circled a few places where nanas or sacs reside within the bud...
12-27-2011_AutoWidowRyder_CS_MixedBuds2.jpg

So... this whole thing would sure be a lot easier with only one plant and just treat it long enough to see sacs, but not so long as to turn all buds!!!

Next, I just want to add a few pics of some awesome colors and buds going on in my flower room...

Notice any color differences between these two similar flower time and strain girls??? One is auto Thunder Bloody Mary (free seed) and the other is one of my auto blue himalaya regular seeds... but this is a different looking plant than the others have been...
12-28-2011_ColorAutoBHVSAutoTBM1.jpg

Can't tell the difference?
Here is a bud from the TBM...
12-28-2011_ColorAutoBHVSAutoTBM3.jpg

And here is a bud from the BH...
12-28-2011_ColorAutoBHVSAutoTBM2.jpg

And this pic had both plants sitting close enough to get a bud from each in the shot...
12-28-2011_ColorAutoBHVSAutoTBM4.jpg

Needless to say, I got my regular (from a male) pollen for the auto blue himalaya out of the freezer so I could pollinate this different colored auto blue himalaya.

OUT OF TIME!!!!

LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Beautiful indeed! Funny thing is,,, I also have two plants that look almost exactly the same,,, except for the fact that one of them is purple too ;) It's the FI strain that is purple ;)
Those swollen 'hopefully' seed bearing pods I see in that 2nd last pic?
Really Granny,,, those are really great looking plants.
My last grow was a strain called Blue Domino. When I broke open those buds, it was the sweetest most mouth watering fruity smell I have ever smelt from a plant. I wish you 10x better Granny!
Best Wishes, Happy New Year!

I want to be able to take pictures like those! Day 4 and not a lot of change for my diesel. I decided to use it for all my pollen needs as I have many Ak x Sk#1 seeds and I want to smoke the bud from them.

:thankyou::thanks::thankyou: Honey!!!

The two plants pictured were different strains, just similar in size, etc. The purple auto Blue Himalaya is one from the seeds I produced by breeding a regular auto BH male with a regular auto BH female - but NONE of them were this purple color. There was one plant of my original seeds that did do coloring like this, but it was an odd plant (the first two round leaves upon sprouting were both on the same side of the plant and the plant was malformed - so I didn't use it to breed). That plant tasted awesome tho!!! I have lots more seeds, so I am hoping to breed these more selectively in the future.

Blue Domino sound delicious!!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful New Year!!!!!

Hi Honey!!! Pics - do you have a camera? If you do, check out your setting instructions, especially "macro" settings for closeup shots. Then just play and take a ton of pics! I also edit my pics in Paint Shop Pro to crop out the image I really want from a larger picture, so I guess it's not all the camera. Once you learn how to do it tho, it's FUN!!!

Some of my plants seemed to take quite some time to turn - this is why I doubt those strains have hermie traits within them and are real good plants to use. It sure does take quite some time to get viable pollen after finally having the sacs appear, so be ready to be patient! That is something that is not a strong trait of mine!!!

I sure do wish you the greatest success tho and hope you keep posting your updates so everyone visiting can learn from us all!

Happy New Year!!!!!

Still working to collect pollen and pollinate the ladies, but the pics I have already put up are pretty much what is going on and I don't feel I need to repeat them. The only thing different is that I am using a Q-tip to "tap" the pollen over the buds when pollinating. With the Q-tip, I can see the pollen drop on them easier than the paint brush I was using.

My flower room has me very busy at present with harvesting, so I thought I would share a few pics of some strains coming up for harvest...

Here is a pic of 3 different strain plants...
12-28-2011_ColorRD_MB_AI_1.jpg

On the left is a Mataro Blue, the right back plant is Aurora Indica, and the front right plant is Red Dragon. I think you can see color variations here too.

Here is a Matato Blue cola...
12-28-2011_ColorMB_2.jpg

She is a very dense and very saturated plant.

And here is a Mataro Blue bud which really shows her saturation...
12-28-2011_ColorMB_3.jpg

Next, and Aurora Indica cola...
12-28-2011_ColorAI_2.jpg

It also makes a very dense bud and is highly saturated.

Here is an Aurora Indica bud...
12-28-2011_ColorAI_3.jpg

And last of these three strains... the RED Dragon. Had I harvested it at 9 weeks, I would not have seen ANY red... but in the 10th week she sure did start to show what the descriptions said about unique red-green buds. Here is a pic of her at 11.5 weeks and she is coming out today...
12-28-2011_ColorRD_2.jpg

And a closeup of her bud...

I know these pics have nothing to do with CS treatments - but they will at least let you know a little of what is going on in granny's grow room!

I don't know if I will get back in here before the New Year so...

:party::yahoo::theband:
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!
Celebrate and Stay Safe!!!

Seeing some changes, pistols starting to turn brown and some leaf twisting. For a bit there I thought my CS wasn't working as planned but it seems I am on track. beautiful buds you have there and it looks like the Aurora is going to be a good yielder. When space becomes available I am going to pop my Aurora seeds and hopefully I will still have some Diesel pollen to make a few seeds from one of the females. Another future project will be to get some female pollen from a Jock Horror and hit an Aurora with it. Jock Aurora sounds like a good cross to me.

:bravo: Honey!!! It seems when the girls are putting on bud, it takes a bit of spraying to even begin to change them!

My auto Himalaya Blue Diesel had buds similar to the AK-47 I grew awhile back. They make huge nice looking colas, but the buds are real light weight (but kickass buzz!). The Aurora grows a real dense bud that weighs up much better. Yours should give an interesting combo!!!

Jock Horror... Hmmm, what is that blend??? I have Ladyburn 1974 going - it is a mix of Jack Herrer and Ice Dream and it has the fattest buds I have ever seen on a plant, is extremely saturated, and is going to be a fantastic yielder.

beautiful plants granny! have a happy new year!!!:adore::thumb:

:thankyou::thanks::thankyou: Honey.

I did have a wonderful new year - hope you did too!!!

Wish I had more hours in each day to get into everyone else's journals... but alas I am swamped and it isn't going to get and better. UGH!!! Well... not so ugh, cuz at least I'm still going!!!! WOOHOO!!
