PK Perpetual Grow Journal 2020

Not my thing right now dude, .. I may sog down the line but that depends on stockpiling seeds for it.. If i get off a good pollination this season it may happen sooner than later .. I think I'm going to play with cross pollination before jumping into sog..
You should really use clones for an SOG

No, Just plain tab water. tread them as seedlings.
If in the future you have issues like you're having..... trying to keep something g alive without feeding g them put fulvic acid in your water. It will unlock the nutrients in the soil

also, dropping her out of the tent will stunt her further as the light and the enviroment she is in for the last months has been consistent aside from the heat waves.
Your absolutely right. Dont put it outside. Leave it where it is. Completely changing environment and light will stress the shit out of it

I tried thinking out of the box suggesting embracing the heat and humidity growing something sub tropical.. Will keep my eye out for a plant PK can grow in this humidity range..
I grew Wembley from Pyramid Seeds last season. I harvested in late August, it was in a shed in Southern California. Humidity wasn't that big of a deal, I have a dehumidifier, but the heat was crazy. I had 1 day that was over 102F in the room and many days over 90. I still pulled almost 50 oz from 4 plants. 1 was over 26oz by itself. If you can run gas thats an easy way to work around high temps... for future reference.

Also, Silica is vitally important in conditions like that. Be sure you only use Silica that is made of mono-silicic acid. Dont bother with Sil8cas that are derived from Potassium.

Hey @PK1 have you moved your led driver outside of your tent? It just takes a few feet of wiring and a couple connectors to get it done.

For the long run I would do what Penny said. Bite the bullet, skip an impulse seed purchase to get some cash scraped up so you can get a portable or maybe small window a/c unit. Problem solved permanently and you no longer have to limit yourself on strains because of your grow conditions.
As long as there's a good place to run the exhaust out of the room

Thank you very much Pennywise. Question, recommendations on a feeding schedule with it? I currently have in my possession, General Hydroponics grow box system & General Hydroponics Flora Grow, Bloom, Micro Combo Fertilizer set . Would you be willing to share your choice of nutrients and schedule? Thank you in advance for any and all help!
I use the Gen Hydro trio still. If you have questions I may have answers

question;
As you are aware this plant is in a tent inside a room. This room has a closet that the clones are in with the marshydro 120 and the closet door is open for air flow.

My question is if the tent door is open and the light is off but the light for the clones is on and is shinning through the room. Would this plant that is in flower be botherd when her lights are off?

it is not shainning exactly to the plant but becasue of the light on the room is not fully dark
It may be a problem. Some plants are very sensitive to light (photosensitivity) poinsettias are a case on point. Some say cannabis is that way too, taping LEDs in the room, etc. I wouldnt risk it. I understand this post was a while ago but...

can i reuse the soil?
Reused soil is a good thing. Especially if its properly composted. The roots have unused exudates which help feed the local bio community, and recycle the mycorhizae. These benefits work much more with a living soil, but help with us chemical nute guys

OK, warning before I give you some strait shooting.. You need to have a certain amount of dedication and passion and care a little about your plants well being, I see you have all of those qualities which is good. The not so good is that you have some self self-sabotaging tendencies. This means when things are going great sit on yur damn hands and dont touch them.. No expirimententing, no little additives.. be happy in the moment... You have great people giving you advise PennyWise beyond his years, Jim Jones, and Phantom.. But you gotta listen when they tell you something and not be bull headed.. You might be relying on buying yourself out of jams and too reliant on gadgets and gizmo meters... All that stuff is good but need to have the basics down of just looking at a plant and diagnosing-trouble shooting problems without tech.. But I have faith that you'll get there.. Dont hesitate to bug me also..
Double priceless!

cool, im not a big fan of topping. I think the plant goes into a longer shock vs cutting the aptical bud "finning i think its called". It might just be me but i find that the time the plant take to recoop is faster. Ya, my scroog net is hanging in the tent waiting. I dnt think its time for the scroog for another few weeks.
Classic

it was bigger than spider mites. the white little insects didn't look like spider and i saw only one on the dirt walking.
the plant and behind the leaves are all clean and look good. no sign of damage or bites or anything
Kill them anyway!

I’m guessing white flys
Its called a leaf Hopper in my neck of the woods. I honestly don't know if they are a problem, but I would kill every single one I could find. White flies look like super tiny moths

Update Oct 2nd | Hydro-Clone
It finally has started. My second deep water culture attempt and hopefully things will go allot smoother this round.

This is the unknown strain clone that i've had in that DWC container about a month a go. The roots has finally grown bigger, but it has not yet gone through the netcup. @Pennywise mentioned that when the clones root to start feeding them.

I have now moved the hydro-clone to its final home, but it will be moved in the tent once it starts growing taller. Hopefully by then the tent is available.

Currently I have the water just a bit above the end of the net cup. Since the plant isn't long enough the water isn't reaching to it at all. I am thinking of purchasing a small submersible pump tomorrow and set it on a 30min on to water the clone every hour.

I've also put a flat airstone that has a good amount of bubble to it, but i am thinking once i put a pump in there then i can remove more of the res water and allow the pump to feed the plant and let the water drip back into the res.
This should help to circulate the water and because of the dripps it will break the top of the res water.

Res Temp 71f
0.5 MC
1ml of Hydrozyme
Current light - 60w 6500K LED

Two questions that i am trying to figure out is;
How would i agitate the water or circulate it with massive amount of roots in there?
Is the timing for feeding good enough?

That's all for today, enjoy your friday everyone!!
Use air to agitate your nutes

You’re good as long as roots don’t find their way into the plumbing
If a pump is used in the same container as roots you will need a root filter bag for the pump. It won't stop the roots, but it will slow them down. I use one to filter solids from my return line works great

My first dwc grow was with a gh waterfarm. It’s got a drip ring. Didn’t take me long to realize that ain’t necessary. You can hand water for a week or so until your roots hit the res then your good to go.
My whole system is from 2 repurposed Rainforest aeroponic rigs. I love it

lol, not sure why but this sounds so funny to me. but here is some pictures of the plant getting screwed with a screw in the stem of the mystery girl. Thanks for the tip @JimJonesJr cuz these girls are already giving high yield and i am really aiming on doubling their size with this method. also, thanks @MrSauga for all your help and never forget @The Phantom for off journal advise :Namaste:

Thanks the craziest thing I've ever seen.

its currently my 2nd attempt. After the first round, i think i have a good idea why it failed. Going from soil to hydro was a no no!! i've also noticed it on someone journal with the rocks. I did press watch to be notified.
I should of bookmarked it lol!

We've got enough lakes and rivers around us. This idea came to me while i was on my recent getaway. Trees and plants growing around rocks and getting to the water of the lake. I am thinking if i grab the stones and boil it with alcohol it will bleach out and sanitize the stones. 20 min in the oven and it should be ready for use after its cooled down.
This boiling and oven cooking idea came to me while i was building my fish tank. I saw on someone video that they grabbed logs and rocks from amazon rivers and after the treatment they used it in the fish tank and it came out great.
I was in Prague a few years ago and picked up a cobblestone from some broken roadway. and brought it home. Later I tried using it and a granite cobblestone found closer to home. to hold down my defusers in my tubs. The grow didnt do well. The strain was Pineapple Chunk. At the end you could see that the rock I found in Europe had reacted with my solution. It was chalky, and not at all like it was when I added it to my rig. Just an FYI only add stuff you KNOW isn't gonna hurt
