Thank you Cc I know I always count you in. You are one of my longest followers .. Thank you for that... Sometimes when things get quiet I just need to make sure I am posting for at least some audience... lol

Nice.

I hate bugs... sadly I brought them in from an outdoor acquisition, A Malawi Gold so it was worth it.

I decided to kill all my veg stuff and take clones. Except for one acapulco gold which is going to flower in 30 days.

Then I put the coco from the killed plants into the oven :) Bye bye eggs and larvae.

Good luck bro, buds look tastey

I think the best way is no Coco exposed... Soft pots seem to be helping that as I was having the eggs in the drain holes of the plastic pots I was using.. so I am going to soft pots but could use news paper in bottom of pots I was told as well... not color stuff...

My next post talks about my recent cloning stuff which is really impressive if I do say so myself....

I Like To Keep The Improvements Coming!

So as the title says I have added some stuff and a changed up some stuff....

I redid all the nute levels I am feeding and I am having better results.... I feed now shorter times but twice a day now...I don't want the plants in flower to be able to drink the 5 gallon pots dry as some near the end of flower are... That and the increase in nutes etc across the board should start improving the last week of flower most of my plants don't like.

In veg I am feeding only 3 times a week now as the pots never get dry. They just aren't big enough in the 1 gallons usually to drink it all so that should help the roots build a little better structure drying them slightly...

I am now cloning with Coco and I will tell you it works damn well...

Take a look
IMGP1822.JPG

These three here are all cloned direct to coco... I shave the stem a little cloning gel and right into sopping wet coco with no perelite or grow stones... So the Coco is very thick... I didn't spray them or anything and they where kept wet from my rez in veg ...(hand watered)

IMGP1824.JPG
IMGP1823.JPG

Plentio roots there...!!!! So If I can get it to be that simple and consistent... I dont recall losing one clone yet this way. This is really as easy as it gets...

The next mod I made to simplify things and so far I am soooo digging it... One of my major time things is maintaining PH in my grows. I have seen the results of too high or low PH from just several days.... So I check it daily... and PPM regularly as well but not as much because I know what I am putting in and know what the PPM will be but I still check it. Drain to waste they usually don't change much as they don't pull contaminants.. they simply feed outward... But I run one rez for multiple plants and strains so I check most stuff daily...

Now I just look at these...

IMGP1846.JPG
IMGP1848.JPG

The Bluelab is the PPm and temp etc combo meter... oh yah it stays right there and I turn it on boom.. done.. No more pulling liquid into a cup and testing it. My handheld is a bluelab as well and a damn good meter... but this is the cats ass! The smaller one is PH only I have in veg it was just under 40 bucks and so far it is just as I needed... Veg is more forgiving so I wanted the good one in Flower...

That is about it for the recent changes...

I am still battling gnats but I am really doing well to keep it to a minimum.. A plan to rid them once and for all is in place... They where still breeding from the openings in the drains on my plastic pots. So as the plastic ones in flower get harvested.. Soon it will be softpots all over.... I am still using the Gnatnix and spraying azatrol regularly but only on the tubs and not really any foliage... base of plants down... All my spare coco and etc in closed tubs etc... I vacuum regularly... Even azatrol walls etc... So I am doing all this regularly and soon enough the place will be rid of them.

I harvested that young JH from flower maybe a few days early but it was starting to cloud up on the tric's so I pulled it...

IMGP18181.JPG
IMGP1819.JPG
IMGP1820.JPG
IMGP1821.JPG

Smallest one i have cut up in awhile but it is very tasty... I look forward to smoking the new strain.. I'll try to run this one again but i think I need to switch veg lighting and for now I like the GL lighting... I wanted to get the JH out so I could keep the rotation/perpetual going...

So still in Veg it looks like this....
IMGP18261.JPG
IMGP1827.JPG

Still alot going on... I just switch on the other 4 tubes on my veg light.. Running the max 480W now on it... All my small plants from seed have struggled and it took me alot of wasted seeds to realize they don't have enough light intensity. Just a half of a day on full power and they are doing better... So I will either run at 480 for now or figure out a way to move them higher up to the light... For now I will reverse the tub again and put the bigger plants further from the light and the smaller ones further up the incline....

So over in flower things are looking great....

IMGP18281.JPG
IMGP18381.JPG

I am still running the room with one side lower on the light and the small groups.... It really isn't and age thing just growth vertically.

IMGP1829.JPG
IMGP1830.JPG
IMGP1831.JPG

BBHB is starting the fillout phase... 2 more weeks ;) This one looks really delicious and it still has what I feel should be some serious weight added!

IMGP1832.JPG
IMGP1833.JPG
IMGP1834.JPG

Then this one above is the sour Diesel on week 9 of 12... so it has a good ways to go but looks like it needs to be plucked now... I am going to run her til she can't run no more.... wow are the sugars getting thick!

IMGP18351.JPG
IMGP1836.JPG
IMGP1837.JPG

Then what may be the last PC run on this plant.. clones...

I popped another seed and if it is female it will be the new one for now. I want to get some new seeds as all mine are from hermies etc.. we'll see what happens... The run I have been running was the same...But the results on this have always been really good!

IMGP1839.JPG
IMGP1840.JPG

NL that I got in my last seed order... Finally some of these are reaching flower.. I had forgotten how long it take a plant from seed... Thus why Veg is busy right now.. I don't want empty spots in flower... I want to always have a plant in a 5 gallon ready..

IMGP1841.JPG
IMGP18421.JPG
IMGP1843.JPG

NL#5 that was gifted..... 3 weeks to go and it is getting to the fatten stage maybe it will start that in a bout a week or so... All These new ones to try.. so fun...

IMGP1845.JPG
IMGP1844.JPG

Then the last one above is Fruit Punch... Just a couple weeks into flower.... So it has a long way to go but follow along the pattern of a new wave of plants to test... What will be the Fav? Strongest?

So hopefully people still get some info from me posting... Thank you to all of you for stopping by...

Love the new toys FE. Those roots look marvelous on your clones. Cloning isn't hard but people can sure mess it up.

Garden looks amazing as usual. Congrats on the harvest!

Thanks Noob!
I have tried bubble cloners and Aero cloners and just putting them right into coco direct has been the easiest and the clones hardly miss a beat. No yellow leaves or anything. Thanks for all the kind words...

Upcoming Harvest Problem....

The problem is actually a good one.. Sort of... The strains I am running right now in flower all seem to be ripening up at about the same time... Three of the six could really be harvested anytime. Somewhat cloudy on the tric's for all of them... The NL#5 is only about a week away as well... So the two issues... I will need to do alot of harvesting and increase the size of hanging space for sure... Also the other thing... I need plants ready to go into flower .. I had one repotted and almost ready... I got another done tonight. that one will need some time to settle after the uppot. So all the quick switches will set me up for the same thing to happen again later... lol..

So I have some leaves in veg that bothered me....

IMGP18501.JPG
IMGP1855.JPG

Mostly on the FP clone but I noticed all of veg has been a little wonky since the wattage increase.... So low and behold the Gnats seem to have larvae in the rez. So I did azatrol in the rez for a few days now and we'll see what happens. The plants don't look bad. Actually the wattage increase is causing some serious growth... But some of the older leaves arent looking great and with the ongoing gnat thing I have sprayed alot... I am keeping them way down in numbers in this battle. But now the larvae? I haven't killed them off totally yet.. lol

I take it in stride... Things are booming in veg so I have just turned that into part of the maintenance.

Let's take a look....

IMGP1856.JPG
IMGP1857.JPG
IMGP1858.JPG
IMGP1859.JPG
IMGP1860.JPG

I actually had more and started culling plants... With the new Coco method of cloning I am pulling multiple clones and usually they all take... Well so far I am 100%. ;)
So I am keeping the best ones to uppot and ditching spares... I definitely have plenty of plants going in veg. Several in the one gallon pots could go to flower as soon as I uppot them. So as the space clears up it should be refilled quickly...

So over in flower lets go look....

IMGP18612.JPG
IMGP18721.JPG

The first pic you can see what I mean. It is ready to chop on just about all.. Hard to tell on the Pc but that thing never looks good anymore but does give some serious buds. I have a new seed running that hopefully will retire this one..

IMGP1862.JPG
IMGP1863.JPG
IMGP18641.JPG

The BBhb above is probably going to be cut last of these three on the "tall" side. It is close but I think it will gain the most from maybe one more week. I was surprised to see the tric's somewhat cloudy...

IMGP1865.JPG

IMGP1866.JPG
IMGP1867.JPG
IMGP1868.JPG

That is hard to see but is the Sour Diesel. It is suppose to be 12 weeks but I am close to 11? So I should try to push it.. But again on this one it has some cloudiness too... I miss this strain as I never got a good run in the past and this one is really fat... I mean the cloa's are solid as dry poop. Great smoking strain...

IMGP1869.JPG
IMGP1870.JPG
IMGP1871.JPG

This is the PC.. It doesn't surprise me that it is ready to chop.. It rarely likes to go past 8 weeks almost to the day... I forget it was originally from bag seed. Been one heck of a run on it.. I still have some in a curing jar now that is really getting tasty... so this plant should get along cure before I need to tap it...

IMGP18731.JPG
IMGP1874.JPG

This thing above looks awwweeesssooommmeee... Fruit punch...

first run on it and so far i love the growth in flower.. It has really stretched beautifully.. I am hoping if it tastes as I recall years ago. Hopefully I'll keep running it....

IMGP18761.JPG
IMGP1875.JPG
IMGP1877.JPG

then above is the NL#5 that is maybe 2 weeks away.. It never stretched too much... But the cola's are getting heavy enough to make it wobble in the breeze...

IMGP1878.JPG
IMGP1879.JPG

and Last the NL from seed... Funny story on this one... I put it in flower and it started to lose lower leaves like it was root bound... So I flush it and then watch it for more days.. keeps doing it... Well like day 9 in flower I realized.. It's feed line was shut off... LOL Seriously it really shocked me it didn't totally die... a few extra feeds and turned on the line.. Looks like stretch is a week away or so and not any ill effects I can see now... Glad it was so early... It still was in veg mode...

So thats about it.. Things are rolling along nicely.... New meters rock!

Thanks for stopping by....

Back To Back To Back Harvests!

So I have done 3 harvests this week and my hands are tired.. I posted one in the last update .. Since then I have cut down a Sour diesel and a Blue Berry Headband. The PC was smaller and didn't take long but the SD and the BBHB both where pretty good plants and yielded pretty good so they tired me out... lol I need to find a harvest buddy.

So let's take a look....

IMGP1885.JPG
IMGP1886.JPG
IMGP1887.JPG
IMGP1888.JPG

That above is the SD and as soon as I released her bondage she started to sag. Nothing wrong with that! The nuggets where all solid solid....

IMGP1890.JPG

Thats one of them there...

Then there is the BBHB which is a first time run on this stuff.. Looks great. Let's hope the taste and strength are good. It was an easy plant to grow and take care of.

IMGP1892.JPG
IMGP18931.JPG
IMGP1894.JPG
IMGP1895.JPG
IMGP1896.JPG

That one had no slouch of nugs either....

IMGP18971.JPG

I forgot to get a pic with all three hanging but this one is of the PC and SD

IMGP1891.JPG

I'll try to get a pic with the BBHB hanging as well... I had to push them all closer together to fit in my dry area... Not a bad issue to have.

So a bunch of new plants went into flower and I'll get pics etc of those in the next update. I have one more harvest about a week away and then I won't have one for quite some time again. I hate how the cycle worked out. But I decided to just run it as it goes and try not to space them out. All strains grow different and they all needed to be harvested around the same time even though I put them all in flower on different weeks.

So I have a leaf that totally turned purple and I wondered if it was bleaching? This plant was put in flower when the led was about 8 inches lower to start with. None of the buds had white bleaching like I have had happen before. Oh well I will see if it continues in the future plants.

So I will try to post some weights if I remember to. The pc was my lightest PC ... Interesting enough it was needing to be harvested right on week 8 in the past because it was prone to hermie. But this one had a better run and I should have let it go at least another week. My goal PPM on prior runs was @500 but this run I am staying @1000. also I feed twice a day now and I can tell the plants love it. The pots don't seem to ever get dry in flower now and no burnt tips or anything since the increase so I could probably even go hotter.

So that's about it I just wanted to throw in a harvest update...

Thanks for stopping by!

What did that come from ?

Very cool update. Meghan was just asking me about the BBHB the other day. I told her it was close. How tall did it get ? I hope the potency and flavor is there for you too Buds.

That's a fat SD nug. I would like to do a run on those soon. I only had it twice. Once a couple years ago and once from you. I loved it for pain.

Hows that PC bean doing ?
Have you been washing your buds ?
Lemon juice, bicarbonate, and water ?

Just so you know I can't get one of these Train Wrecks to finish. They veg great. Short and stout. Then they go into flower and it is all going good. Then of a sudden they yellow and slow to a crawl. They don't stop growing. They go very slow. I have been reducing the nutes and sunday or monday I will give her just plain water. She is showing signs of new and greener growth but still very slow.

I have two more clones to try. If I can't get it right with one of them I will throw in the towel.

Good to see you had a nice harvest. I think I will run into problems later on with timing too.. I have already had to compost some of the excess round here.

Later man. Good to see you

It didn't stretch as much as the PC usually does but it did grow tall once it hit stretch. It stayed bushy until flower... I did have a one week hiccup in the middle so it could have been better... not taste test yet... soon ;)

The SD ran for almost 11 weeks in flowerr and it showed. That nug is solid. but it was just cut so it will shrink alot but that plant produced... I have clones for a future trade?

Hows that PC bean doing ?

It is just about to hit the 1 gallon pot any day... all my new seeds went soooo slow because they where too far off to the side and the light was only at 50%. As soon as I put it on full blast they all started growing substantially faster..
Have you been washing your buds ?
Lemon juice, bicarbonate, and water ?

You nailed it I have been washing all my harvests now. I run a very clean set up. Have no bugs...well none to speak of. Didn't spray them with neem or anything... And still I am surprised at the crud that I washed off. I did a wash on my very first grow and swore I would forever. But got lazy..No more! Washing buds does not hurt it at all and I want the top stuff only...

That TW has been super easy to clone and etc. I just tossed some because my cloning is at 100% and I took too many. Lower leaves yellow? keep yellowing up working it's way up the plant? That means it is root bound. It is feeding on it's self not on the nutes... Not sure what you can do that would cause it if everything else is good in flower... but think along the lines of its not eating...

Good to see you had a nice harvest. I think I will run into problems later on with timing too.. I have already had to compost some of the excess round here.

I always pull too many clones etc so I am constantly culling stuff... Maybe I should try to save them and we can meet up sometime again and share some strains ;) ...

Later man. Good to see you

Thanks for coming by. I am glad to see that you and the misses are happy. I can tell...

Rookie Mistakes Keep On Coming!

So the last three plants I harvested on tricomes.. I think that wasn't actually what I am going to do going forward. Or shoot for a hell of a lot more amber. The last three are great smoke but should have fattened up a lot more. Yes they did have hiccups along the way. but not that bad. I have some idea's and hopefully that error won't happen again. For one thing I am going to double up on the Bulletproof Si going forward to knock out that potassium deficiency ( has to be) going forward. And I will look to harvest when they look ready rather than just based on the tric's.

So I have some other news... I am going to be care taking for another person... So in the near future expect everything I am doing to just about double... Very soon but there needs to be another expansion in size...

So all this will happen soon but in stages... New flower room.. New LED soon...Fans... Rez...
All kinds of stuff. I will be doing twice as many in flower so this should be very good. But all this means this crap with issue's has to end. It is not just my grow anymore...

One thing I already upgraded is all my fans are now 8 inch and what a difference. When the temps get high before my 6 inch fans would run quite some time to vent it. Now it runs just a short time and shuts off... I can actually hear things now cause the fan is off alot more... hehe

So that being out there.. Let's take a look at what's going on in veg.

IMGP1900.JPG

IMGP1901.JPG

So above is the groups...

IMGP1902.JPG

This is a mix of clones recently taken and some that are in need of upotting... I am finding if I want to slow them down a little I can leave them in solo's quite awhile and they take off once I uppot them. I like to balance them in veg a little as well so I am not recloning so much. But it has been super easy...

IMGP19031.JPG

These are four SD's I took tonight. I recloned a really large SD plant into these...

IMGP1904.JPG

These are all nonsexed afghani's that I need to eventually uppot then send some clones to flower to sex them up...

IMGP1905.JPG

A mix of the one gallon soft pot's that most I just uppoted tonight. Things in the middle stage of veg ae where it's at for me... This is where I pick the ones I eventually send to flower and some like the SD tonight I reclone or cull...

IMGP19061.JPG

And this is another SD to go to flower next week. This one i will run even longer than the 11 weeks. That last week would have done it on this one. But i need that potassium issue corrected to get there I am sure. It should be gone but time will tell...

So let's not miss a beat. Let open up the door to Flower and go look inside...

IMGP1907.JPG
IMGP1916.JPG

So things mostly look small because well they are... # of them are new to flower within a week. The others aren't that old either besides the NL#5 that should be all done next week... So my cycle is off but soon I will have a shitload in flower but will need to ease into that. Upgrades first.

so let's look at the all star lineup playing the flower game...

IMGP1908.JPG
IMGP1909.JPG

This is a WW clone. I almost let this one run off but it recently has become a favorite of a few friends so on it must go. Plus my wife loves it. Not much to see here.. 4 days in 12/12..lol

IMGP1910.JPG
IMGP1912.JPG
IMGP1911.JPG

This is that NL#5 that I mentioned. It got hit with the lack of nutes too but atleast I will let it run longer than the last three... I'll see what happens...

IMGP1913.JPG
IMGP1914.JPG
IMGP1915.JPG

Oh yah! the Fruit Punch by heavyweight. Yum Yum... This thing is growing amazing. I think so far it has grown better than anything else I have run. Seriously... It may be crap weed but atleast it has loved what I am giving it.. lol

IMGP1917.JPG
IMGP1918.JPG

Ok NL from seed first run... Not sure what to think yet... It missed stretch because ... lol I had the water off the first week. So this run really won't be great I am sure. The plant rebounded nice but it just seems to have remained smallish...we'll see... Really still has a long time to go so it still may bulk up...

IMGP19191.JPG
IMGP19201.JPG

This is another FP. A clone from the other plant. I just liked the first one so much I wanted this one into flower as well...

Another BBHB. I am hoping to get a better run on this than last time. 2 plus zips on last but not the result I really expected.... Oh well that's why I am doing all this perpetual. More to come. And soon alot more...

So stay tuned...As long as I can keep up with the increase in plants I should make this thread a lot more interesting

Thanks for coming by as always..

Be safe...

Oh, I added instructions for heights for the PS 1000. 7 steps added to it. It is really important to follow these steps in order to get big flowers with the PS 1000.

Very cool about the caretaking FE. I look forward to seeing your development. Is there a specific strain to be grown like I have going on with my person ? Two zips onna BBHB ? Have you tried it yet ? If you posted about it i musta missed it.

Double in flower you say. This oughta get interesting indeed.

So far 2 strains the WW and TW are both on the list to continue. But this person has very similar interests to mine. So a variety is going to be the motto at first...I'll then just make sure to keep running some of their choices too...New beans again too ;) It will take a bit to expand... Plans are done though.

Thanks for stopping by...

Lots of cool stuff going on here FE! And now I get to welcome you to the Perfect Sun family! You will absolutely love this light. I know I do!

Yah I "had" a budget and the 1000 is just a little over. But after researching and more researching and then even a little more. The perfect sun 1000 is the way to go with the mover. Now that the decision is made in my head, i need to be patient a few weeks to order it.. ;) Let's hope i can serve it well...
