I am pretty excited for the PS1000. The Northern Lights from seed will be 8 weeks friday and all the pistils where browning up nicely but the new light in just 3 days it decided to pop a bunch of new white pistils? I can only assume it is the light. I was running for almost a week without it so I am sure the plants didn't have the intensity they needed. But it seems the PS1000 took care of that.

I really like the FP. I just need to master how to grow it. And all this is based on growth I have yet to smoke my strain of it. (drying right now ) It finished with solid well developed nugs but I think I could have gotten them bigger. I hadn't supported it well and moved it under diff lights etc near the end there... There is another coming up soon. Hopefully even better than this one.

I agree on the strains I keep. No genetic flaws needed. The new PC so far appears female. It is in flower. That is the only one I have been trying to keep even though it has issue's. I will order more beans if this one doesn't work out. I'll probably order new beans soon either way. Gotta keep up the testing!

I have yet to try the Afghani. Just remember it as a kid. Well not really but did have it a few times.. just can't remember shit from back then...lol!!!
First run is currrent. Three unsexed in veg. As soon as the clones take.. (it hated cloning) I will send these three into flower small small... Just to get them sexed. then I will know what I have Soon!

The gnats are not hurting anything... I put the Gnatnix all over the tops of the plants so they can't lay eggs in the roots. But they try. I was spraying Azatrol on the roots for weeks and could barely see a one. I have no idea why but when I root drench my plants with Azatrol they perk up like crazy...No shitting. Not a clue why. Even my hydro buddies love it and cant explain it... I like to do it
But with all the switch over and etc I hadn't root drenched in a bit. The sprayer shit the bed so I had to get a new one. This one should help greatly too.. Even easier to use. They won't last now...

I spent the weekend working on Veg. a bunch of new clones.. Some strains I had in big veg and had forgotten to clone them.. Could have been bad...A show i watched they made the same mistake and lost a strain so I checked my own stuff.. almost did the same ..lol Uppoted a few... Set forth some future plans. Organized... Reworked some fan stuff for the new set up.... Been busy... I actually have a counter top work area now and a separate veg/flower rooms... Quite worker friendly now...

We sure are way overdue hooking up... Let me make a note of it and I'll see what I can set up for clones etc on new stuff... We'll put something on the schedule to hook up very soon!

I have tell you how much I respect those of you that put a lot of time and thought into your posts. I remember when I first started a journal on here. I did the same. But, I had a lot of time on my hands as I was working from home a lot to be with my son. Now, I don't have the time, in my mind, to give my journals what people deserve. I know those of you that continue to give yourselves to your journals are as busy or maybe more busy than I am. Kind of makes me feel like a dick.

Thank you for mentioning it. I don't have a rather large following. Although my blog gets a crap load of non member views. I guess the blogs come up well in google searches. I do try to act like I am speaking to the masses. Close friends but others as well... I have to say I don't put in the time i use to. I use to post daily or every other... Now i try to stick to the weekly updates or important events. I do think it is because I try to take a chance to sit.. smoke.. relax and reflect... post...
Don't feel like a dick... we all have real lives and aat times it does prevent our participation here.. That is life and it is real... I am honored that you stop by here...

Bad luck on the mover. I have two of the same companies mover. Had them for years with zero problems.
I bought the cheap rebuild kits to keep on hand but haven't needed them yet.

I definitely have it on my list to get a rebuild kit... It was just shit luck... The owner is a good guy and they make the best mover. I am really attributing it to just a freak thing and the guy was very apologetic and messaged me multiple times this weekend to make sure it all worked out. I'd buy again... With spare parts of course... lol.. Thank you too OG I am glad to see you back over my way... Missed you...

Very well said Noob and thank you for saying what has been on my mind since I came here a few months ago.
I cannot seem to put a good steady informative journal together like you guys do. I learn so much from those of you that seem to have the knack for it. I just don't know how to put my thoughts and whatever knowledge I have down. There is a step that I am missing. I seem to be able to grow fairly well. I know how to take a picture. But when I go out to garden I go into a zone like I am in a hurry to do everything before I forget........... I dunno where I am going with this. I guess I didn't put a lot of thought into it
But I wanted to say to FE and even you Noob when I was following along in your journal B.B.- Before Brix- i appreciate the way you guy put it all together for guys like me to learn from and drool over.

Thank you for the Kindness Jake! Very Kind... I actually think my journal sucks... But i am glad people still get stuff from it... I seem to keep running into weird issue's so people sure can see how to correct stuff. Bugs,,, deficiencies,,, Heat,,, Moving,,, Upgrades... to name a few.... Wish I knew then what i know now... bah i'd still f it up....

Harvest, Flower Room Upgrades, Up Potting, Among Other Things!

So I have still been on a torrid pace. Tonight was the first night in awhile I didn't do 20 things. I could and should have but there was nothing critical. The second drain tray is installed. The light mover is running great and the plants are all starting to get use to the new environment. I really really like the new set up. When I finished the new tray it was super easy to throw more plants in flower.

I am almost running the desired amount. Give or take what is happening etc I want to have 10-11 in flower. 5 in the single long tray under the mover and 6 smaller plants as they develop under the end of the mover and the mars lights. The problem I will run into is if I don't space some out I will be cutting down a crap load at the same time... There is no question I already notice a difference in the amount of work in the new setup. Running twice the plants is just a tad bit of work.

So let's look at the recent harvests.

The BBHB was 2 weeks early. Seriously. I didn't want it to hermie so I chopped it. Less than an ounce that will end up in some oil or something....

But the Fruit Punch I had much better luck. It ran to the end but did show some lack of finish power. 10 days on limited light etc was not the best... But the plant seems to be a keeper. I am testing nugs as we speak and it does seem to do well... It really doesn't have a great flavor yet. Really not much flavor or smell at all... I am hoping it gains some fine taste. It had a really unique smell while it was late blooming... I am surprised it didnt already have that aroma.. soon... I hope...

Over in Veg I have been trying to keep up on the clones and all the up potting etc. It seems it's on my daily list recently.

I don't think this pace will keep up but I have been pushing them through veg because a lot of the veg plants got pretty big and needed to go to flower...

Lots of frost... The PC is in this last group of pics. It is doing very well and showing it is fem..I am curious how it will come out. I think it is only like week 2 so quite some time but it has hit the room of excitement!

Northern Lights Harvest - Weekly Update!

So I managed to upload my pics last night but had to wait to post until today...RL just gets in the way sometimes.
So I harvested a NL on saturday. It was from seed. I have some clones of it in veg now. None of the harvests recently have been very good. But all the plants are still from the old lights and nutes. I won't reach the point that they are all under the new system completely for a while.

No cure and NL is already unique and very tasty. Samples are really good. Looking forward to the future NL's with a good cure.

So let's take a look!

A little over two Zips.... BAH! poop!

The nugs never got solid. I could have run longer but i seem to pick off a few nanners. Not a single seed yet so I think it was sterile. It didn't have alot of potassium in the beginning and the light switch over hit this one right in the meat of the fill. The lack of light coverage for like 8 days hurt some. I think the next three are going to have similar results. From there i believe it will start improving... Some that are in flower right now are huge for so early. They should be good producers. I am also still working on strain testing. I am already ditching some.. for now... SD.. BBHB.. NL5. Some already like the BBHB but the other two as I use up what is in veg... SD I can pop a seed later...

So let's look in veg...

I am starting to get a rhythm to it. A pattern. So far so good.. I have a little more manual watering of the little ones than I like but i am getting the routine down. The Afghani project is a mess!! the AF3 does not want to clone. I have lost two already. They are like the first two clones i have ever lost in coco. All three struggled and the two that took are stunted. I have taken other clones before and after... I do it regularly and nothing else struggled. I think it is just tough on cloning... Some i guess are... As soon as I get that one cloned I am going to send the mothers to flower and sex them. Probably junk them .. they look like shit.. They are stuck in 1 gallon pots and should have been up potted a long time ago. They drink it dry daily. I just want to sex them and start with the clones fresh. Then I will take better care of them. I am not sure why I popped them while changing all the stuff over. They got neglected...

So I put one light at the end of the mover. Just to make sure that side of the room doesn't get shaded too long. I feel better with it set up this way. The mover only goes about 6 feet now and there are lights on both ends. I love this set up as I can shut off a valve unscrew the hose and move the plant. So the last 5-6 weeks of all plants they will go under the PS1000. 10-12 in flower at a time and (10 right now) 6-7 get coverage from the PS1000 at a time. So the fresh to flower plants get the mars and then get moved under the PS1000 after a short while.. Eventually another mover and PS1000 would be spot on. Someday...

So things are going well. Calmed down some... I m realizing maintenance is alot more now with all these plants. I added a float to the fill on the 30 gallon tank. That way I can set it to fill and walk away. Watching it was getting to be a pain in tha ass... I have to fill it about every 3-4 days now so that will help alot. There really is nothing like automating shit. Never going back to all those single DWC tubs changing them weekly etc.. Damn! I sure found a better way to do it.. The only thing i am debating trying down the road is some good soil. Doc's maybe? Soil I do realize adds a flavor. Not that I mind it but hydro stuff does have a hydro taste. I'd love to compare someday...

So I guess that is about it for now... I am looking forward to the next week or two.. quite a few plants going into flush right away... Should be interesting...

You are sorta correct cronic. Miss you BTW.. I have been super busy since i doubled the size of my grow. I just wanted to focus on the grow more and less on the web stuff.. That being said... I would have continued the journal but for some reason I have almost no followers. I am super grateful for people like you cronic. Weasel, VI. who always followed through it all. But if i am constantly talking to mostly myself I didn't feel like it was worth all the effort. Maybe eventually I will start another one...

Super weird to grow. Easy but it always looks crappy and then I see the results/Yield and i am like booyah! My seed was from bag seed so I never trusted it to even run it long enough (liked to gets nanners) So I ordered a fresh green house seeds new bean. I have 20 new strains I am trying (yes 20) so I haven't popped the PC one yet but I will most certainly soon as PC is one of my current Fav's. And the people i care take for absolutely love it... Noone has disliked it yet...
