Gun laws in Philly. Pffft - its the new wild wild west. People shoot people for the stupidest shit. I gotta be careful how I look at people. Sadly I could easily be shot for being a white guy. It's the real world here.

Yeah I live at the edge of town up on a hill (Chestnut Hill/Mount Airy section) that is VERY affluent. It don't matter. Used to be the violence was in other neighborhoods not so much at all here. That is changing. People carry guns that shouldn't be carrying them. Shoot first (cant even hold a hand gun properly) and worry about the outcome later. Most shootings here go un-solved.
The people that get caught are the ones shooting out of their car window and someone writes down the plate number. I mean that's pretty stupid. That's the mentality. That car makes people indestructible in their own minds.
We gotta make a month or 2 is all. Head down and eyes up stay off the beaten path. I was recently threatened by a guy that thought I was following him. I was about 4 blocks from our home heading the same way I always do. He's a neighbor too. I was behind him, he pulls over jumps out and starts threatening me. I'd have pulled my hand gun out if I had one with me. Then I'd be the one in jail.
Was at Wallyworld the other day sending money. There were armed guards (not police) packing holstered glock 9s - several of them and very very visible guns and all.
I didn't really feel more safe to be honest.

Sky thats an interesting article. I agree on most. Having a Russian wife that is highly educated (for free btw actually she got paid to get an education) I know a little more about Russian history and communism.
More accurately it is/was socialism same as it is currently in Sweden and many other European nations. True communism is just an idea. It's never been implemented, well maybe by traditional people that were living off the land. Modern man quickly disposed of them with weapons of mass destruction.
Stalin was a freak had many issues mentally very similar to Richard Nixon btw.
The beginning of the Social revolution in Russia started with the women's protest on the day that is now celebrated as International Womens Day. Women were demanding the end of WW1, better more rations (food) and the right to vote. That was in 1917.
Here's a quote of one of Lenin's sidekicks whom was skeptical about the revolution taking hold and actually winning:
"Give the workers a pound of bread and the movement will peter out.”
As we now see that didn't happen - goes against a few of Alinsky's ideas.
The way I see it, the world in general is heading toward a more social state, meaning that more and more people are given the chance to actually live fairly. We in the US are moving towards a weak middle class and a stronger lower class, with less and less people having more and more control over money. I see that as a recipe for fail.
This upper class lower class system is what the revolution in Russia and many other places like France, Italy, Spain etc. got rid of and we are trying to create this here now in America for some reason.
Trickle down has been proven time and again that it does not work.

The history of man is actually a good teacher. Why we don't learn from our mistakes is likely due to lack of proper education. Our education is the education of fear. Fear everyone that is different. This is why we see all the violence. Its a reaction to fear. Which is a manifestation of hate.

(We should of course include sisterhood and Transhood to be all inclusive..)

The world will one day be no more and humans will have to live elsewhere or in space. When that time comes, there will have to be only one system in play, but down here on imperfect Earth, I strongly believe there must always be a capitalist USA of free people because it is us, not our government that is the USA. I don't mean to imply that I (an American) is better than other humans, but in the same breath, I will not be forced to divide my energy out to support those that will not contribute their own energy. What I mean is that in this capitalist society, I am free to work for whatever wage I can negotiate, save up and start my own business, then save more, re-invest and build capital and pick myself up to the next higher class. In a socialist society, I would never be able to build my own and therefore be forever in the common class. Also, being able to build capital, I am free to donate in accordance with my own finances, so if I make less, I can give less and there is no burden to perform placed on me.
As of now, I am confident that I am bout the poorest person on this site, but those that know me long like Woody and Penny know I started with a small grow many years ago and slowly inched my way to where I'm at now, and still have thousands more inches to crawl till I get to a point where I can breath better than I am now. It is because of this great nation that I can do this for myself, and if it were any place else, I would not be able to advance myself from my own might. As a poor person, I do not want socialism, I don't even want forced health insurance. I just want to remain free to correct my own life mistakes and when I accomplish that, I can then reach back and help the next one in line.

No hail here my friend... Thanks but man we did get hella hammered with rain.. I only lost one branch I can see so far.. and the rason for that follows...

So Miss J did a rather larger lollypoping and some removing of fan leaf, yes defoliation, I hate that word,, in prep for the shit I'm going to dish out on the SOB's. She even pinched all the baby budsites in the interior which is where hemp mitess startup... Less places for them fuckers to hide while I nuke-m to hell and back.. Least that's the plan.. But the plants fared well with all that triming done.......
Plants are starting to transition and I'm going to give these gals a good scrubbing behind the ears with Safers Soap, check, got that done yesterday, next good weather that new shit and then acouple days later, a dose of Green cleaner all the ones outdoors..
Miss J found afew hemp mites... Damn it,,, I know I should've shitcanned that soil and started with sterile soil reamended. I do know all the plants I started with were 100% clean,, so can only be the soil.. Also the fact everytime I've dealt with hemp mites,, they started dead center on the plant from inside out.. Maybe thhey are coming up the mainstem are spreading... Spider Mites hit a side of a plant or seems, I figure is from brushing up against a inffected one or windag from a fan or mother nature? All just my little thoughts..
It's not like I have alot of grass out there,, so has to have been the soil. I even threw the top 6-8" of soil out and replaced. But these suckers reproduce faster than spider mites,, I think? and are alot harder to kill,, that I know..
But damn ya'll posted alot of words on here...... I had to use the space bar to feel like I added something..
And I hate reading,,,, but I'll be done by tomorrow.......
but tonights agenda I,, well I'm going to get kind of fucked-up and crank tunes.
Swore I was going to buy every jug of tequila in this store,, one by one... and I'm still on A for Altos.. Naw but close..... and i shall return

I still have alittle read left to do.. Almost there,,, but while I'm still coherent to thought best to post this. I'm glad to hear you making a move for the better there Mister BBrown... I'm so far behind of reading journals,,, but where ya planning on going? The City of Brotherly Love isn't all that........

It's a scary time for our second amendment rights with this shit going on.. Sure the fools shouldn't have been given access to guns period.. I'd like to think not,, but they do get guns. I just had to spend 5 grand to get my gun rights reinstated after afew felonies I picked out over the years,,, like DUI's and Conspiracy to Manufacturer,,, in the past,, but reinstated here for home, target, and hunting. Conceal wood've cost alot more,, IF I could've gotten it. But the nice thing is Miss J can. And I'd feel better with something with us when we go out.. You really never know when you might need a gun. And what good is having a gun, if when you need it and don't have it. Call yourself a victim...
Kind of like carrying a unloaded gun... I'd like to think,IF I was in a situation like that in El Paso or Ohio, and IF I was presented the chance to put down one of those ragged dogs, I'd take it....

Damn now I worked up a callus on my fingertip having to type so much??????????? Besides having to worry about early mold out there.. it Is supposed to be sunny and hot out there.. But with all the new ways to access and other forms low impact forms of power,, I think we are about even across the board now always.. One thing is our atmosphere is replaceable trees constantly drink in pollinates and send out Oxegen....... And with logging restrictions and all the newer green sources of power,, soon has to be an even trade off....
The earth does go thru cycles when it gets hot and melts the last ice age.. Then it all flips and we start locking out water into new polar caps. Happens alot of the history of the earth... About ever 500 million years we go thru a warming trend and a cooling-off tend........ We are going thru the tail of a warming trend,, and soon,, what 50,000 years,, earth will start cooling into the next ice age................

I believe the ice age had something to do with an astroid impact personally. I do think we are warming the planet up as the scientific numbers show so we should be careful as much as possible.

You raised a good point Wood that America itself lifted itself up by it's own might and hard work. That trend I hope endures another 200 years.
As to Global Warming a.k.a. Climate Change in the sense that it is man made and the survival of the planet is contingent that the USA enact and enforce an energy tax on ONLY USA companies, well that's a tough cookie to swallow. Now to pursue green renewable energy is a different story conditioned that it is not forced into existence. As we transition to green energy, we (the USA) still need to be competitive in the world for financial dominance. It is our financial might thus far that Trump has been able to manipulate other nations into fairer relationships. We are essentially at war with Iran, China and North Korea all at the same time without spilling anybody's blood. I hope we can negotiate mutually beneficial agreements with all 3, but it is want of access to the American market that are keeping those nation humble thus far. So if we blindly sink all of our money into developing green tech because the some are demanding GW/CC is real the nation buckles at the knees.
Socialism is just a method by which the global elite will use to usher in "Agenda 21" and reduce the global population down to 500 million. I can see every proposed policy the Dem presidential candidates are talking about all are leading straight in that direction. Free this, free that, benefits for everybody. The Dems want to make USA funds rain on the world till the point where we cannot sustain and we break.

@Jgrowlove I do believe we have contributed to a degree.. Especially back in the Industrial revolution when skys ran black with carbons....... But I think we have stopped most of the major polluters. I just think we all realize we do need to tread alittle lighter on mother nature... But she has alot of power to heal herself with.
The BIG forests across Alaska and Russia I forget what the belt name is,, but it's up by the artic circle contains alot''''''''''' of pine and other conifers. Enough to do alot of air change over. Plants/Trees take in crap and spit out usable O. I have no idea of anything I'm talking, but I have heard we're starting to get close,, say closer,, to an air exchange rate with mother nature..

When I did my time, I noticed that dark skinned black guys and recovering heroin addicts seem to get ripped up after about a couple of weeks on the weight pile. Everybody used to say it was because they were on the streets not eating right, but so weren't crack heads not eating right and them fuckers stayed skinny for their whole bid, lol. IDK what it is about dope that alters people's physiology, but to me it was evident. Maybe that's the tradeoff because as best I can see, opiates more or less is a life sentence, and the monkey will always be on the back of whoever tried them.
