Our Ongoing Grows

Not sure how your last harvest went but, this Or weather whipped my but with 100% mold. I just pulled my best harvest only to lose it all. Those 65% boost packs do not work. Save your money.

Cheers

 My condolences, hope you can rebound.:Namaste:

That's what I use the 58's.

That don't sound good @millertm. What happened? Dried to slow? I use them packets only after the herbs dried to a stem snap and slightly cured.. And I only use them on opened jars or whatever... I use pickle jars here,,, but I ain't got one filled. Thats when I use them. Cut started slow.. You caught me at the wrong time... Clones root slowly but they are going.. Dirt for acouple soon.. Man if you could wait another month or so I'll have some killer cuts, but I'll have 4-5 soon. Same as I got in flower.. I took them 2 days after I started flowering mine. We'll see..

What I do is you dry you pot till stems snap, then fill jars unpacked,,, incase you did it to early and you won't have to mangle the buds if you removed them. Then burping for the next week or two. Then I fill the jars kind of packed. You should'nd need them in a full jar with no air.. As long as you dried your herbs proper. When the jar go down to 3/4 full I might thow a pack of it if it asks for some.

I did do justice on New Years Eve... And didn't forget my big glass of water.. It does help......

But @Tead is right,, long time no pics.. But I don't have anything coming out right now.. Maybe one coming up tho.. That Puppy cut I took that was in full flower is doing a pretty good job on monster cropping.. Cept afew tops that Miss J picked.. She was wanting to clean all the flower out.. Glad I caught her.. But here's the Pup'

I count about 75-100 tops. Well I didn't count... Never learnt that math stuff... But she's going to have alot.. Now do I want to take just one cut and grow her into a "monster' or,, take a room of cuts from her and blast out 16-18 smaller plants??????? Time will tell........... I will be taking afew for sure,, I need a mother and every once in awhile you can use a extra plant...

Well I hope everyone had a Great New Years and were safe and happy... I did a token bit of fireworks.. Man I need to stock up next time I get up to the Casion.. I need some mortrs

Sorry to hear, Brother! FYI, those Boost packs should only be used after the buds are dry to maintain the humidity levels. They do NOT do a good job of lowering the RH but they do a good job of making sure that, once the buds are at 62% (for example), they stay at 62%. Only use them once the buds are in the "cure zone" AND, personally, I don't use them unless I want to store the buds long term (like 6+ months).

Is it just me that can't see the links or sig's in posts?

@millertm you must have put them up and didn't burb the jars? Herbs that feel dry to touch will rehydrate once the lids go on. They need to have the top remove everyday for 10-15 minutes till completely dry and stops rehydrating. Often take acouple weeks. That's a bummer bout the crop..

just sitting here giggling after reading that bit... nice pics and those purple monsters are amazing!

Buds should be at 8-12% moisture when you jar them. I learnt the mould way too.

This tool is useful.

Idk when the jar hits 58 rh seems a bit crispy.(sativas). Throw a 69 boveda in til 60 or 62 then i am happy.

I don't even go that low. When I get them to 60-65%, I start the cure with burping. Though the video above uses a different type of meter, and I suspect measures the resistance of the test subject (bud/tree log) to get the reading. Generally, growers have been measuring the RH of a controlled area, or the air around the buds, but not the buds themselves.

Very cool, Bro! That's something I've never seen but makes 420% sense to me! If they still had +REPS, I'd be throwing you some for that! :welldone:

I looked around at the autos you and a few others mentioned. I've got some in my collection so I'ma start with those as my 'learners.' Got some coco and perlite on the way, gonna use 10 gallon eco pots to start. I'm staying with the same nutes package I got already, just gonna modify the dosages. Not that I've mastered any of this but I think I'm really gonna like having autos in the garden! From down here in Socal, Thanks again Norcal!

Norcal.. Man been awhile since I was down there... I do miss '''My City by the Bay'''' Been forever since I was down in SoCal.. But I did stay down there for aminute when I was younger, like 15-17 years old. Santa Monica,, Bay Street ''' and afew of Dogtown Skates'' Believe it or not;; this Peckerwood use to do alittle''' surfing.

@Agemon Autos can be a crapshoot. 10 gallon pots should be more than enough to let them be all they can be. I've seen some hella auto's here on this site and on others''''

@conradino23 and @Mr. Krip be intresting to really see what they dry at.. I know these packs, I use the smallest ones just to keep them fresh.. But I have no idea what mine are but that seems dry for me. I have seen peoples with small meters to check

@Kismet and @Skybound that seem low to me too.. But then I never know what mine are.. I know I wait till that stem snaps when bent. Then I start the jarring and burping process for the next week or so... I like the 58's myself... 62 always seems damp to roll joints... Great for pipe hits but to damp for joints.

Well @lazyfish, she's is flower as we talk.. Sorry missed the call.. Been a ruff week.. Isn't much new coming out here for awhile......

Nothing new here peoples,, cept afew starting in flower.. I have some 'Monsters' in there tho.. % or 6 is all I have in flower now.. Hopefully these next round doesn't find any left over rouge pollen in the room...

@millertm cuts are slow go... I got two in dirt and the rest come out tomarrow.. No worry here. I know your getting antsy but they do what they do.. I think the cooler temps slow all growth in the winter... But I'll put them in 1 gallon pots and then the veg tent.. It's got plenty of room.. It's a shame there wasn't cuts ready of the Pup I could gift ya this round. Timing was way off this round..
