Jimmy Durante?

Sorry but nope!
The name of the actor might be hard as he was not well known although he played parts in a few Burt Reynolds films. I guess rather than his name, guess the movie from where this picture is from. Hint, his caricature was used again in another movie by the same people...:popcorn:

Quick update on Clones, soaking seeds, and current grow;

Clones are looking good, some droopy leaves but that is expected, they are pointing to the light and I expect them to look better tomorrow;

Current grow is stretching, this is day 19 of flower and I am starting to see many pretty little flowers, I continue to keep moving branches to keep the canopy as even as I can and open up the lower bud sites under the scrog;

The seeds are still laying on the bottom of the shot glass, last night I swished in a little H2 O2 as advised, going to give them a couple more days soaking and if no popping, I will put them in rooters and in the dome under a heating pad to see if that pops them.

I have ordered some GA3 (Gibberellic acid) that hopefully arrives next week so I can try that with different beans.

:thanks:

Hmmm... by now I would expect them to be fully hydrated. If they're viable, respiration has started so they're going to want more 02 than is available at the bottom of the shot glass. Maybe switch them to wet paper towels for 100% humidity with 20% (i.e. atmospheric level) O2? (I know, everyone has their pet theory about germination... ;))

Michael Mann? I know he was in Smokey and the Bandit. :)

I thought about that, I also thought about sticking them in solo cups with coco or soil. A "fresh" seed will usually pop in 12-24 hrs, my current grow, it was 12 hrs and I them put them in a paper towel and 24 hrs later they had 1/4-1/2" taps and went into rooters.

These have been under the water now for only about 40 hrs so I don't know how long a 40 year old seed needs to be fully re hydrated?

I don't know either. Maybe forever. ;) But if they're viable, in wet (not soaking) paper towels they can continue to absorb any moisture they need and get the oxygen they need as well.

Dinsdale got it!

Yep, and here is my smacking my forehead moment. :rofl:

Looks like I gave away too many clues!:thumb:

LOL! Don't be too hard on yourself,,,probably been years since you watched any of their movies...I put one on every now and then to re-live old times!:lot-o-toke:

7-8-17 Update Old Beans, Clones, Flower day 20

After having the old Maui Wowi beans soaking for almost 60 hours, I took Scientific's suggestion to flip them to paper towels, which I did and put them on a heat mat to see if a little more O2 and warmth might pop them. I will keep the towel wet and on heat for a couple days.

I did not notice any tiny bubbles clinging to the shell like I did the day the had sunk, hopefully they have been in water enough to re-hydrate and if they need more the damp paper towels should provide them the moisture.

The clones look good, I am seeing some of the droopy leaves starting to perk up, and I lowered the T8's down a couple more inches.

The stretch is still on and I am seeing lots of budding on a few of the taller branches that I have no place to tuck and a few more have popped up through the scrog.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!:thanks:
