OldMedMan's 2nd Grow 5 Strains and AirPots

Hey OMM, all your girls are looking very healthy. Do you have a plan for how long you will veg them for? Also, I know you want to try out the air-pots, but is there a reason why you dont want to plant in the ground? I think you could get a much larger yeild that way. Just wondering, anyways, keep it up, great job and great thread!

I would like to veg em until they reach at least two feet. I don't mind big.
If I'm damn honest, I couldn't dig the holes and live through it. I am an old fart and what I'm doing now is my max, My friend. Maybe in my next life.:cheertwo: Part of it is just plain fun. I think I would have a little grow going even if I had a big stash.:grinjoint:

Hi Sun,
Didn't know you lived there too. Gotta watch those seals.:surf: I really lucked out there. I had a redwood house right on the sand at Del Monte Beach. Could watch the dunes move around every few days because of the wind. Could hear the Sea Lions barking at night. My two sons and I would run down and jump in that cold, cold water everyday. Bruuuur! Wake Up!

I was stationed at NPG, Monterey for a couple of years. Tough duty assignment ;).

I used to go running on the beach pretty regularly, but if you got in the water, you're a better man than I. BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

That water's so cold, you lose your sexual identity, lol.

Well cool Sun We only jumped in. I think I read somewhere that if you stayed in the water for over 15 minutes you would be a goner very quickly.

Sorry about that really hard duty.:grinjoint:

Did some consulting at the Defense Language Institute. We didn't help very much. Every language department thought their language was more important than the others. Constant war and no compromise. Never could get to a win win state at all. :smokin2:

After everyone's comments, I think I will use one plant as a crash test dummy to see what happens. Will hand clean the soil of all big wooden pieces, and press the pot sides like in the vid, then use the FFOF as is to fill the rest of the pot. Maybe add a little more small pieces of perlite.
The Kandy Hush is 18 inches tall and should do well as the test subject, taking pictures as I go. So we will see. I think these pots might do really well.
We are going to find out. Might be a few days......Joanne has a to do list for me to finish first.:smokin2:

Yep, right on time Hawaiian style.:grinjoint:Aloha to you too. You have good taste Bro. They are looking sexy to me too. Thanks on the report on the Great White Shark. She sounds just fine to me. Love danky couchlock buds. I think the Rocklock will be the same.
Glad you'll be watching Bro.:cheertwo:

I hope you are on to something here and you see great results. I dont see how it could be that bad for it. The only lingering question I have is this. How is the soil mix not going to erode out the holes when you water? Been wondering that from the begining.

Me too Nic Only thing I can say is bring on the nutes. In quantity.
If it washes out the bottom....I'll add more from the top.....it would have to shrink on top wouldn't it?:reading420magazine:

Wow! I can't believe how much I've missed here. Your plants are looking great OMM!!

Grats!!

:cheertwo::goodjob::peacetwo:

Hi Papa No problem mate. You'll be here for the good part.:grinjoint:
As you can see, I have a bit of experimenter in me too.
Got to see what I can do. Should be fun.:cheertwo:

Hello All :allgood:

Just turned on the the lights again in the cabs, and for the 3rd morning in a row, I had to raise my lights. They sucked up the Big Bloom and they must love it. :cheertwo:

The only girl I worry about is the Strawberry Haze. She still has yellowing leaves about mid way down her stalk. Seems no matter what I try she still has that problem. I just might make her the crash test dummy for the AirPots. Maybe with your help, we can get her to stop that behavior. Bad Girl!:smokin2:

Those that need it will get straight pH corrected water today. If needed, some do not drink as much as others. Sure have to keep my notes up with these girls. All is well in OMM land. :hippy::hippy::hippy:

Hey OMM, you should check and see if that Strawberry Haze is ph or nute sensitive strain (seen the clawing). For now you could check and see. Next time she needs water, give her a mini flush (at least double runoff than what you put in) and then backfill with 1/2 str nute water. Then let her dry completely before the next watering. If she grows but yellows more then she is a heavy eater and needs more, if she gets better she was sensitive and needs less. Seems like a fairly harmless way to apply a bandaid and check. Also check the first runoff for ph. (I am sure you know all this, just ramblin outloud what I would do :smokin:)

She might also just be telling you, DAD I AM WAY TOO BIG FOR THIS POT. :rasta:(Check for root curling)

:peace: brother and much Aloha.

Your right High I should dig for a bit more info about her. I always flush em them at one and a half times volume now. So I'll flush her a bit more.
I may have been over watering her too. Gonna let her dry a bit more this time. Sure glad you ramble Bud. Makes me zero in a bit better in my mind. Kind of like, I dismiss things to quickly and don't really think em through.
Thanks.

I've really thought about her needing re potting. Sooooooo maybe to an AirPot.:cheertwo:

Either way, a transplant will solve your problem for now OMM. :grinjoint: That would give you time to look around and see how other people have to treat her to make her happy.

Honestly she looks so healthy, that the yellowing and curling are telling me to look at her roots, but I am new to plant speak so she might be telling me she wants a Pastrami sandwich (had one yesterday and it was so good, hadn't had one for years ).

Aloha my friend.

That is a fine looking bublelicious plant you got my plant has some buding cite's and little flower clusters forming but no snow yet.A lot of branche's that are going to be cola's thanks to the lst growing method

Hi Dain:grinjoint:
Well she is, isn't she. :ganjamon: All I have done to her is top her early. She bushed right out. She also seems to like anything I throw at her too. Lovely Girl. I sound like a proud father.:cheertwo:
