Literally as i went to type barring any catastrophic events they flickered and went out for the whole neighborhood!
This has just fueled my search for total self sustainability and off grid growing whilst indoors!
If anyone can point me in the right direction for reading material you know its always appreciated!

Nope its just super freaking windy tho!
I thought it was gunna click back on and it tried once twice even three times...
Then blackout.
Im worried now because the lights came on just enough for me to get that picture...
so they had light for no more than 5 minutes tops!
So now their back in the dark...
I really hope they come back on soon tho
11 hours and they start their dark cycle again...
the timer will be messed up until i get back home to fix it so they could be lights out for 24 hours at least.
If the lights arent back on by the time i leave for work im going to unplug the light to avoid it coming on when they would normally be sleep.
Then just plug it back up like nothing happened hopefully they wont notice

Oh god thats the last thing i need!
I love the idea of full spectrum led lighting (red&blue)
But i dont think ill be getting a mars reflector dropped off to my front door
lol its back on now but just clicked on but im gunna wait until i know its not going back out for sure this time before i plug it back in...

Their predicting freezing drizzle here this weekend. Seems like every time that happens the trees knock down power lines. I might have to invest in a generator for insurance. Wouldn't that suck spending all that time growing to lose it because of a power failure. Im glad to see your powers back on.

Well luckily for me it happened just as the lights were supposed to come on so they got to sleep in besides the lights coming on briefly those 2 times.
I looked it up and from what i can tell it doesnt really matter extending the dark as long as their not getting light interupting their 12 hours of dark.
Or the light cycle is messed up by turning on when their used to them being off
I dont think this should effect them too much.
But i totally second the generator idea!
This situation instantly made me think about solar panels lol

Its starting to get a little difficult to tell whats a main branch and whats not!
The plants have totally recovered from defoil day 1 of flower.
Im a huge fan of defoil!
The results just speak for themselves.
Now the question is when to stop?
Im not the type to like stressing my plants
In fact i wait until the last possible moment to start my training techniques. wether it be lst defoil top fim whatever.
i just do like to stop growth and wait again lol
So in veg i only like to expose the new growth.
Plus it helps airflow through out the plants.
When switching to flower day 1 i defoil in anticipation of the stretch
And again expose all those budsites and help airflow as usual.
Clearly there is no ill effects with my plants are sretching and growing through the net.
But they seem to need it again...
The most common answer i can find is around day 21.
Basically after the stretch
This is what ive done in the past.
Im curious as to when others defoil if at all. When why and how much?
Especially during flower...
And with a net?...
My concern is with everything packed so tightly in the net that it will be too cluttered?
Forcing me to defoil again after day 21
To keep allow airflow especially well into flower.
The plants are very content so ill leave them alone besides the standard check up
No water until tomorrow...
Also something to note weather hasnt been as cold as it should be this time of year so im experiencing warm temps.
So for now i have my tent open until lights out.
And still no sign of roots on the clones of that male...
I might have to get my bucket going again just until i can get them rooted then to the pc case.
Ole lady isnt gunna be too happy. Ill have to be very persuasive lol

Brother your just going to have to tell your Ole lady your the boss. Just make sure she isn't around to hear you.LOL. I'm still on the fence about defoilating. Although its a little late in my case lol. I'll let you know how I feel about it come harvest. Looks like you have it going on over here. Keep up the good work.

Quick but important update.
So last night i watered with phd water and calmag only.
The ph was in range but a little on the high side.
Couldnt get it to lower just a few points so i stopped messimg with it.
Each plant got about 6 cups of water.
I gave them about a gallon between all 3.
I watered them very slowly.
And stopped when i noticed their leaves droop so they didnt get much runoff.
Maybe they werent completely dry?
Also in an attempt to bring the runt into the canopy i tried to raise it up to the level of the other 2.
Unfortunately it just got to be a mess trsay d 6 Drying that.
Then thats when i realized i NEEDED to lower my net!
And the results 12 hours later prove it!
Just after lowering and tucking
Just before lights out
By having the net so high it made it almost impossible to get the lower stuff to be considered dominant .
Looking at the plants and looking from underneath i realized theres decent branches that couldnt get light because of the canopy shading them from above.
The ladies were already confirmed but pistils are obvious now
The little solo cups are still going no signs of sex yet. Not going to uppot unless i know its a female and worth keeping
Thats all for now ill update tonight with plenty of better pictures!

Good job. That's what I have to do. Set up the T5HO and run the mesh. I got branches 2 feet long next to branches 10 inches long. Gonna be sum bendin'

Because i am in such a small space vegging the plants into the net is pretty difficult.
Without them getting too big and out growing the space.
Which is why i decided to just train them into the net during the stretch after the flip.
When i first set my net i set it higher for ease of watering and maintenance.
But doing that my last post explains why that wasnt working.
Basically my lower stuff wasnt coming up high enough.
Essentially defeating the purpose of the net except for support later in flower.
So this is why i decided to drop the net and kinda smash them under the net.
The results speak for themselves
Now theres branches and heads id have to cut but its getting just as much light as the main tops.
I dont expect them to be all equally sized in some cases bit now they'll be worth keeping for sure.
So next time i scrog in a small space like this ill be dropping the net much lower giving me more time to train and get more out of every branch no matter how low on the plant it is
