I actually just came across an old pc case that i might gut and make into a clone box or veg box this way my tent can be strictly flower...

This would let me be able to clone these girls to keep the genetics alive a little while longer since im almost out of seeds

And cut time off my next cycle

Your grow is looking great. I really miss the veg cycle. I can only grow 4 so I'm going to have to look into trying to grow two monsters that way I can veg with a lot of training while I flower the other two. I can't wait to get mine finished so I can start some more. Damn this is fun.

So like i said i found an old pc tower... Its not working at all but thats ok itll serve its purpose none the less..

Its not very big i couldnt imagine doing a whole pc grow in this thing.

But its more than enough room to get some clones started and maybe a solo cup or 2.

I just finished gutting it out going to give it a good wash

Im going to take the 2 tiny desk fans i have on the floor of the tent and put one one the bottom pulling air in
And one on the top opposite side pushing air out.

At some point im going to paint the inside white.

Not really sure how many bulbs will fit in there before it qualifies as an easy-bake oven lol

so im gunna start with 2 and see what i can manage to keep the temps at.

I probably wont finish it tonight but ill update pics of it as i go and of the ladies pistils are showing enough on 2 of them to get pics so watch out!! lol

And thanks everyone for all the input thus far it really makes growing so much more exciting having you guys around!

Cleaned out and painted for reflectivity

Also i was able to get my hands on
A bathroom exhaust fan the kind that goes into the ceiling. Its rated at 50cfm
Which is more than enough for this little box

Im going to figure out a way to secure it to one end of it like this

It is already wired so i just have to plug it in

Install a power strip

Add a few bulbs

And let there be light!!!

Its too late to start drilling to attach the fan on just yet

So first thing in the morning i will install the fan

Cant really think of anything else i might need any suggestions or notice anything i should be concerned about?

And to think i was gunna scrap those seedlings
But now i think this is coming together better than i couldve imagined and it hasnt cost me a penny yet!

Nice looking grow case! One thing I see you may not enjoy is the bathroom exhaust fan. Those things are noisy, at least the one i bought for exhaust purposes was. Looks cool though!

That was the FIRST thing i thought about!
but when i hooked it up its actually pretty silent.

It said something on the box advertising
About how quiet it was.
Thats what made me consider it lol

And on top of that its gunna be next to my tent which is in my room with my inline fan blowing away so noise is not too much of a concern

As long as it keeps the box cool

Do you think itll work?
Did you use yours for a grow?
And if so how did you set it up?

I was thinking of just putting it up to the box like the picture to pull air out but it doesnt fit exactly...
I have like a half inch on either side
i was thinking that because 50 cfm is a little much for such a small box id be good either way

But idk what do you all think or suggest?

I did use it for a short time. mine sounded like a jet engine. It came with a plastic threaded collar so I cut a hole and put it through and secured it with the collar from the other side. I had it through a wooden cabinet door pulling the exhaust out.

You may be able to use 3M double sided tape to attach it and get a seal going.

Hopefully it pulls enough air without it tho.

I offset it all to the backside...

No big deal if it's not cooling enough ill simply tape it up like deanb suggested.

Because the power cord was so small.
I plugged it into an extension cord tucked the cord away nicely and now we have air!

Dont think temps are gunna be a problem as its pulling alot of air!

Space will be a problem before anything else but again its just a place to start seedlings and clones and keep a vegetative light cycle

Or possibly flower clones

But it smells soooooooo good! And its like a perfect match to the female next to it growing the same way..

I might try my hand at playing god next grow... Maybe keep a clone of him? Idk but hes gunna be taken out soon just waiting for at least one more sign before i pull it

Its hard to cull plants that are healthy. That's why its feminized for me from now on. One of these days I will have to grow for seeds. I'm gonna need a lot more stash first. Lol.

Hahaha bro you nailed it i swear that was my thinking!
that was the reason why i bought regular seeds cuz i figured id sacrifice a grow for an unlimited amount of seeds.

I was good after last grow but couldnt grow again and so my stash ran out and now im back at square one and running out of seeds lol

But its ok like you said feminized from here on out
plus ill have clones to hold me until then i usually do 2 runs of clones before i drop another seed

So i hope everyone enjoyed their new years and brought it in safe.

Ill be honest i got lazy over the holiday!
Plants were SUPER thirsty last night!
They needed water and i had given them like 2 cups to hold them over.
Then we had people over so they went a little dry...

Ive comforted myself by saying that the plants werent drooping just the leaves and that i was pushing the boundaries of creating a more natural and realistic environment lmfao

Anyway i fed the plants as normal full strength phd to 6.4

I only fed 3 as i took the male out...
It was pretty obvious ball on a stick so i went ahead took him out...

However... I cut 4 clones of him for a couple reasons...

For me normally i use my dwc bucket for clones.
I put a few rapid rooters in the 5 gallon lid and bring the water level just underneath about 4 or 5 inches.
Just low enough that the bubbles pop and keep it nice and humid in the deep lid.
With a tupperware on top.

i get about 75% with this method

The reason i say this is because i have no more room for anymore growing gadgets like that.
So im forced to clone in my cp case (which was the point of making it in the first place)
But i have a very hard time getting clones to root without my little bucket...

So... (Bong hit)

Thats one reason i took clones of the male just to practice and get my method down.

The next is, it was just a great plant it matched the female from the same batch perfectly that i have growing now.
It smelled​ sooooooo good

I figure if im going to try my hand at some seeds and i found this awesome male might as well be soon...

As for the girls they bounced back from their "drought" instantly!

I plan on flowering in 3 gal pots their in 2 now..
How do i uppot if their trained in the net?
Their not past net at all just now reaching through and i tucked in over to keep it under.
So i guess my question is when should i uppot to their final container and flip to flower?

Looking at the net after topping and defoil i dont think its gunna take long to fill it especially after the flip...

So should i uppot give them a few days to dig in to their last pot while training in the net then flip and finish filling the net with the stretch?

Im not really sure where i should be at this point with the scrog because the plants look ready to flip normally but im not sure.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Or just point me in the right direction of where to read.
Im not afraid of homework

Hey brother, have you got your girls transplanted to the final pots yet. I wish I could help but I'm on my first grow and don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. I'm sure if you google it you will figure it out. At least that's what I do when I can't get a response from the growers here.

I went and picked up some calmag today and i asked my guy at the hydro shop.
His advice is ALWAYS GOLDEN!
If it wasnt for that old guy and his shop i wouldnt get the results i do straight up!

He told me to continue letting them recover from the stress.
Ie. Supercropping topping and lst.

Also because the space is so small i cant really fill up the net during veg and flip and finish filling it up during the stretch ill outgrow my space.

That means i have a busy week...

Notice how much space i have right now untrained in the net...

Im calling it now this one is going to stretch at least 4 times its size!
clearly still very high sativa genetics from the hermie parent.
That is why it gets the back of the tent and screen all to itself. Its gunna need the space and itll be done way after the next 2...

Northern lights growing very strong!

Its recovering slower from the topping that the other 2 but its on its way.
This plant has the tightest node spacing i have ever seen on a plant!

Clones are looking good seedling not so much.
Their wilting and turning yellow i know its not overwatering i think i need to feed them.

Im gunna repot them into 1 gallon pots feed them and put them under the m/h if they dont recover by the time i flip them ill probably just toss them.
The clones i took look surprisingly very good 2 of them wilted the first day from the rapid rooted drying a little too fast but i gave them water and they perked right back up.

As far as my scrog im gunna take my hydro guys advice and during the next week transition to bloom.
Im going to repot them into 3 gal pots with ocean forest soil ( happy frog is just too weak to me)
Im going to water with just water until i finally flip it.
Give them a light defoil and then send them into flower.

I think i will be ready for this saturday...

They will only need water by then so it works perfectly.

I will train everything in the net during the stretch. Because its so small it should fill up pretty full fairly easy.

I dont get rattled if i dont hear any feedback on my journal or the forums,
I can always find a reason to spend money at the hydro store lol.
And i just trust my gut i do what feels right and if it dont work i know better for next time!
Plus i know everyone is busy in their own garden as they should be.

That sounds like a good plan. It will be fun to see how they fill up the scrog. How high from the top of the pot do you put your screen.

Ive read 8 to 10 inches so im putting it closer to 10 maybe 12 inches above my pots.

Itll make it much easier to do what i have to do.
plus itll stop me from having to lower my lights

I was going to get HHOF soil but i think i have enough hapoy frog so im just gunna use the rest up.
I dont want to be left with any left over next grow!

I also just turned the lights to 18/6.
That should help them stretch a little
Ill transplant tonight let them bounce back so that sunday or monday we can flip to flower!
