Quick update.

Last night i went ahead and put the ladies into their final 3 gallon pots.

I gave them r/o water with cal/mag 1tsp/gal
Phd to 6.5
About 5 or 6 cups until i got some runoff.

Runoff pretty clear coming out of 2 showing me theres not many nutes left in there.

Going into flower this is good
I like to have a clean slate before introducing flower nutes.

I managed to get a picture of one of the root systems and i also dug into the male i culled and the roots are super healthy

I might raise the net another inch or two..

Sunday i am flipping to flower.
I am keeping my metal halide in for at least the first week of 12/12.
When i put the hps bulb in i will turn it up to 600w and well be full speed ahead.

They should need water sunday and so thats when ill start feeding them bloom nutes at 75%
They havent eaten in a while so it all is perfect timing.

At this point im training everything to stay under the net until the canopy start to take shape.

Did you take clones?
Or are you starting new seeds?

I was thinking of going to attitude in another week this was the shopping cart i made last night

I also like the idea of monster
cropping to make my own feminised seeds but not as much as i like the idea of all those new strains lol

I am going to do a light defoil to expose any possible budsites covered by the leaves.

Ive also considered taking clones but ill wait until i see what isnt gunna make it above the net and use that.

Yea and for like 130 bucks all those options all those feminised seeds you can beat that lmao

If i do buy those this pay check my immediate goal is to have a mason jar of each strain lined up now thats options!

The Lootz yours is lookin close to flip time. Unfortantly the only way to get an idea on stretch is 2 ways. First you've grown it an kept a tally on how much it stretched. Second, Google your strain and look for completed journals n read n then read some more. Or just wing it!! Peace!!

Yea im flipping sunday just to make it easier as far as keeping track of the weeks lol

I have a general idea of what to expect for the stretch.

Ive grown nirvana northern lights before and it seems i got the same 2 phenos again one more of a hybrid and one very indica dominant

As far as the one in the back of my tent i know the hermie it came from and looking at it the stretch is gunna be one hell of a ride.

I think the net will help tho if nothing else just restrain it height wise and support it later in flower.

Im not too concerned about having a full canopy as much as i am about having an even one...

I came across a journal on this site where the grower made individual scrogs that attached to his pots. I don't know anything about scrogs but I thought it was an awesome idea. It gives you the ability to remove your plants individually and work on them as well as being able to raise individual plants to maintain an even canopy. The reason i brought this up was your concern of the canopy being even. If I find it again I will try to send you a link its worth taking a look at. Also wanted to say your plants are looking great.

Yes ive seen those before but their kinda expensive imo,so id build my own for sure!

That was an idea i tossed around when i had my 4x3 tent up.
Thinking about it i might start the build on one for my dwc bucket.

If i can get it functional then ill try and
Make like 2 to 4 of them for a rdwc system i want to try next

Ive seen some that had wheels on the bottom
I dont think ill be going that far lol

I swear its a miracle my first grow produced anything at all i wanted to try every single technique every single training method lol even now i put it in the journal so its official and theres no going back like

I told the journal ill defoil next week gotta stick to the journal lol otherwise id be a mess

Lots of new growth coming through the net now

So unfortunately i ran into some problems with the extra seedlings i dropped
1 northern lights just never popped no matter what i did

And the 3 that did pop ran into nitrogen def. And a ph lockout

So i was hoping that these would be able to be put in 1 gal pots and flowered but i feel there just too far behind and so small theyd be drowned out in a couple of weeks...

So my new plan of action because i just gotta know if their female and worth going the extra mile for them...

Im going to keep them in the tent during the flip
if their female theyll get moved into a 1 gal pot.
Ill sit the pot on something to bring it into the canopy and go from there
I dont expect much but a few grams of a different flavor

This one is the last to recover but on its way new growth just need a bit more water and space most likely...

This one still has some purple halfway through the stem but its clearing up and growth is looking healthy again

I am turning the lights back now so that they will receive their 12 hours of darkness.

Today sunday jan 8th

The seeds broke soil november 30th so that puts them at about 5 weeks of veg

Turning back my timer ive realized ive realized what a sad and happy time flowering is.
so much dark time
No more training no more shaping...
All the work ive done to this point will begin to manifest
No more time to let plants bounce back from def. Or Lockout
There is no room for that....

Then theres the happiness of seeing the work and time put in in the form of dense sticky smelly colas and all is well again...

I cant wait for the day i can have 4 5 6 7 8 tents all running at the same time different stages different strains different uses different methods different equipment.

One day...

Ok so the plants woke a few hours ago from their first night of 12 hours darkness.

I took this picture literally as the metal halide was firing up

Before the light turned on i cranked my ballast to 100% so the plant awoke to an extra 200 or so watts.

As soon as i could i went ahead defoiled.

Thats what i took off of all 3 plants combined.
I only took what looked to be casting shade on any budsite below it.
it was mainly just the bigger older fan leaves.

Then i went to the bottoms of the plants and lollipopped only like a node or two up the stems
Again i only took off the stuff that would never grow any decent amount of bud

Heres a few shots before defoil and then the lollipop

I also took the plants out 1 last time for their last picture before defoil and flower..

Also i topped the solo cups they are doing great i think ill only keep the northern lights its recovered the most

My timing was perfect the plants need some water today so ill be feeding them week 1 of bloom nutes at 75%
They havent had nutes in over a week

So im expecting them to be hungry

They only get 3part g m b voodoo juice and bud candy
With cal/mag added to the r/o water

The bud candy is the only thing i go full strength with out the gate
