Slow day so far.

SIP still wilting. Upped the lights a shade. Not worried yet but thought improvement would have been quicker to be honest.

Poppy on her balcony perch is basking in the sun looking perky. Reckon she deserves more of a feed later. Oh also - bit yellow downstairs but mentioned she’s due a vist from the Barberess…

2-3 days and we’ll flip and see about light pollution. Might need a little care on that one. Maybe a box made of PVC pipe to shade her over night?

Prefer not to and keep her au naturel..:

Got pics of all three strains. They are just the closest ones I could identify of each (I skipped the upper and lower ranges of each plant though and tried to make indicative of average. There are better and worse.

OG Darkest green and orangey flashes.
Skunk 11 orangey flashes too, not expecting that. Bit lighter. Much taller!

Gorilla Glue taller too, photo looks lighter, more similar to Skunk 11, no orange, whiter.

Need to lower the one light and do the new pipe, or I’m not driving everyone, dog and all to the beach later We pinky promised already these were the terms.

the lad and I did three of the 18 irrigation collars. We decided (group decision) he was quicker and more efficient at the work thsn me he would do the next 15. Not too bad a hour or so. He’d been thinking about it to. “& Co” had prepped him. Like the red cable tie accents he decided on.

Fed them 6.1 2.8 in.

Not checked out yet needed to attend to something else and maybe my imagination but seems a little slower to deliver. But there was only 50L usable so just asked “& Son” to switch off the blue button when the water level fell below the pipe line.

Tomorrow is a new mix. An “A” Week Flower Mix. We’re at the vendors recommended max range. Going to up it tomorrow. See what happens - its a range for non Co2 users

Or, use the design for the OzTent. a paneled concertina to surround the plant, and throw a length of panda film over the top after closing. Much simpler to use than a box I reckon? Enjoy the beach! I made this self watering frame of PVC to grow herbs in, basil, rosemary stuff like that. Some mosquito net. Because it was blue pvc pipe I thought I’d just drill holes in the frame and add a wifi controlled solenoid to water. It worked. Being in hillside balcony with ocean views and the prevailing wind with salt in the air? Yeah they didn’t like that!

Figure though its about the right size to put vertically over that plant. The main light I’m worried about is one on solar that’s next to a CCTV camera. Its really difficult/dangerous to get to. Its on the side of the house. But I think the overhang of the balcony/roof shields it. There’s a couple of street lights say 30 yards off and there’s the moon which when full is bright. Is what it is. Hopefully we’ll be ok.

This like covid lock down period I got really into irrigation for those seedlings and a really good chilli plant grower for seedlings and seeds.

We moved from ocean view apartment to like more village house with space after.

Here they legalised growing, selling,, consuming marijuana and my best mate here who was stuck in another country all that time is one of that countries most high volume growers.

I’m a techy that reads a lot with left over irrigation stuff and a green fingered “& Co”

Pure dumb luck. Legally growing with our skills sets, mate, space, location all just the stars aligned. Super lucky.

We’re serious about it no doubt. The plants are looking good but hours of research and proper old fashioned hard work went into it too. Money sure but that’s actually the easier bit. Our grow is bigger than most. Sure. High end everything. But we could have spent all that money and grown awful. We’ve made mistakes! I hate them and feel the pain of anyone lost a seed or seedling.

But its research and hard work that got us in what is an awesome place. Which I reckon from seeing remarkable stuff for $100 all in or less - plus in a clothes cabinet is possible to - the motivation, save money on your own smoke, plus friends or plus a few $’s here or for me honestly the sheer fun of seeing a plant grow

Because photosynthesis converts the light from the stars (our planet’s one being popularly refereed to as “The Sun”) every living thing on the planet via photosynthesis in planets to feed everything on the planet. Stores of coal and oil and gas along with the beautiful plankton eating whales - everything from photosynthesis.

I watch it very day. Its immense seeing it unfold. And playing with nature. Something about just being around them growing I find very calming. But I love the mental challenge also. Its huge for me to have something to think about and the other job is pretty stable now so can do this too. But ultimately its & Co & Family. My role small. I’ll get into croquet or something new and fun after

Everyone has different motivations - mine is to give & Co financial independence and have some fun for a year helping set it up. She could give me an allowance! That would be the best result ever!

Honestly I can’t imagine stopping this as long as legal. Some of the stuff we have going on is hilarious. Like some light stuff I don’t
want to preempt it. But yeah. Crazy. But honestly for me it would make a brilliant book or something.

But honestly its a family thing. Education and learning for my kid and my step kids that haven’t always had the best eduction. They’re older and learning life skills while my daughter gets a fun way learn all sorts of stuff. Times tables and product differentiation. I’m mad relaxed about it - just show and repeat numbers. There’s no testing. Let nature take its course (and no I don’t feed her Co2)

Then it turned out all my HK mates knew it too, the sketch. It was a meme before memes for us.

Everything is 40-45. Everything takes about that long.

Me and Mum love it. So I made a logo years back for a blockchain thing, some moonshot ai was in and had resurrected it for this project. Because my Mum yesh there’s too

The logo for blockchain was like a WD40 rip off I did in knocked off Photoshop. The new one is a lot better but similar style! Made my Mum laugh. Story to tell down the tennis club

Something and everything Americana and reassuring. Pepsi or Gas Station in the night?

That plays well with the world. Its reassuring for Americans same as Scandinavians, Russians, even the French love MacDonalds

Plus I got a weird design fixation about old school american gas/oil/road signs so asked for a board of 6 of them for the logo. Choosing was half the fun.

Have a Graphic Designer mate and the one that did them is a semi colleague (I’m paying mates rates I hope) but he’s also organising the swag for a fee. But basically two graphic designers for half. Mad lucky. Everything is mad lucky at the moment. But busy as all.

Huge fun and made my Mum laugh lots.

The Bruce Banner from the last grow?

The B all went in pre rolls or sold. The A well I was worrying an awful lot had gone in me and my friends rather than the marketing/cash it was meant to be used for.

So I weighed what we actually have left had because of this trim/give free but buy the last of our first grow. But then I’m all like - I have a taste now how much do I need for my own consumption for the next month?

What do I have left? So I weighed it.

Its always a good rule of thumb I think & Co said she pre rolled 40 off the B too for her mates bar.

Jokes aside I am very over the smell of decent weed at the moment. Too much around and smelling what’s in pots in shops, over it, but that Banner. A month in a Grove bag? Its incredible and I would class myself total amateur at the consumption of weed. But wow that smells amazing. I know good weed aroma even as it puts we on my arse! Light veg and lemony snickets. Really nice.

I have a new off topic thing because I finally understood what I needed to do. Took me 40-45 days to figure it.

Feeding like the most banging mix and upping the Co2

3.3 EC a bit toppy. 5.8 Ph. Only 2400 PPM. Thought we’d be stronger there.

Our nutes recommend 3.5ml/L A/B top end. I went 4ml - I applied those sorts of increases across this weeks selction and had huge fun making 200L of it with my step daughter. Running aroud with a hosepipe and switching between jugs and cups and generally making a game of it. Really halcyon days.

Lowered the lights with the boy kid. Got an epic pic of him post hooking his side the light on

Kids are of legal age to do what they’re doing (pointing and times tables) (hosepipe and times tables) (irrigation and light control apprentice) but no photos obvs.

They took a solid 55-60L.

I got the results.

Like mental.

The shorter ones definitely different to the taller ones by 10% say. But like really I wasn’t expecting that.

Was gonna lower the lights a little but turned up the gas instead.

If you guess what I got out after feeding slightly higher EC and same 5.8 to plants I gave 6.1 and got 5.8 out same as last few weeks whether 5.8 or 6.2 or 6 - we get been getting 5.8 out to yesterday that have had a whole big tank of gas with the plants all in great health to me then wow.

I’m floored with surprise. I washed and gave a basic service to the Blue Lab and double checked with the old one that reads a little higher but similar range

What have I missed?!

Serious have a guess I’ve triple checked and yeah. Weird as.

Seriously I’m freaked out!

Its been a day so it has!

There was this whole thing with a Co2 tank and my truck as I up at home I heard a hiss. Onew straight away. Switched off the engine. Waved the Thai Cowboys staff and tenants away, family and dog inside. I have a roller lid on the pickup I shift it open and see the big Co2 tank through the With two of them in there together for the first time with the valves facing direction of travel ironically some vibration coinciding with me actually getting a small tank with a safety collar opened (I knew from how noisy it was ) the larger tank through the safety seal. They were secured together. Some shake rattle and hum and think the safety collar nudged the big ‘un open.

On the last corner.

My fault again.

Had the umm reception lady and a new kid load it. It was there in my mind - they should go bottom first. No idea why but just the way the other guys do it. Was messaging about stupid logos at the time. Two orange ratchet straps one for each future journey to keep them separately secured that were already - already dm - next to the coco peat stores now reside on my pickup bed. Where their rattle will annoy me but remind me not to do that again.

I vented off the gas decided there was too much to safely risk my own self in a semi enclosed space - Co2 be dangerous!

Waved everyone off for 5 minutes until I heard a pause and then jumped on the bed and turned the tap like less than less than a 1/4 inch and it was off.

& Co jumps up with me and asks what the ice is on the cylinder.
- Ice. Its about pressure, gasses and energy transfer. So lots off gas out that was under big pressure goes out quickly get ice. Can you make sure the village in the shacks people not say they get scared because have gas explosion and start asking for money for medical plants please?

I connect the small cylinder as the other one why bother wondering how much we lost. Its $12 max but they’ll probably give us a new one for free no questions asked. It was loaded by the new kid and the junior admin lady

But my responsibility 100%. It is dangerous. It was a really stressful moment.

But I knew the correct response is something.

Also & Co seeing me stressed finishing up connecting the small one we have left…

- What did you say to the people across the street? Any problem?

“I put some ice off the tank in my hand and tell them, its just oxygen tank, like air. We use to keep all the marijuana plants cold”

But seriously the only person likely to get hurt by that was me. You could drive my truck with that cylinder doing what it did through Times Square and the only person harmed is the guy driving a gas canister in a pick up truck through Times Square realises it was a bad idea
