NewBoy420 1st 4x4 Tent Grow - Solis Tek DE 1000 Watts!

GhettoGro how you doing man? Just got back from the circus it was a blast. That's the plan my brother if all works out well a sea of green, i might do some scrog and of course LST. I do think the girls will do fine in the big pots its kinda of a little experiment. That's why i still have 2 in the small pots, you know to see the difference. There is still a lot to learn and I'm just breaking the tip of the ice berg! glad to have all you guys along for the adventure.
The only problem i know of with the larger pots is more watering and more nutrients being used but not fed to the plant because the roots do not reach everywhere. other than that, make sure you flush good when you do and everything should be fine. :goodluck:

50 percent in veg is good, and as close to 25 percent as you can get in flower. Moisture during flower can cause mold and bud rot

Wow in my room I run 55% fairly constant with great results. I'm also very climate controlled, sealed with exhausting capabilities and co2

In my veg I run 70%-80 roughly.

Why so low in veg Peyton?

50 is what they usually say is an average number. Some people can only get 35 percent in flower, last year i could get mine to 10 percent. You can grow just fine in any rh, i was just giving him some numbers to shoot for, since high rh might be causing pm in his tent.

I've vegged in 15 percent rh, the only difference is you have to water more often.

Great point about the nute build-up in a large pot with small plant. It will take the large pot longer to dry out when the rootball is not filling up the pot. The smaller the pot, the more you can water/feed. I start in 16oz cups then to 6" pots for veg. I use 12 or 14" pots for flower (depending on strain and stretch). I don't usually transplant until the roots come peeking out of the bottom holes of the pot. But then, I can be a procrastinator. :)

Sorry for all the noob Q's

How are you guys maintaining RH? Do you use a specialized humidifier or cheapo home type unit? What controller do you use for heat, RH, fans, etc?

Hey NewBoy...how many A/C outlets are you using on separate breakers and how many amps each one?

Sometimes I'll try and open or close some vents to see what changes it makes, but other than that i just roll with it. I don't have the money to get ac or environmental controls

right now 1 20amp outlet. but when i move to the room i will have two 20 amp each one with its own breaker.

yeah them controllers aren't cheap, for sure. right now i got the tent open too see what changes.

note taken!

Thanks...trying to plan this out. 2-20amps seems like it should run a 4x4 or 5x5. also...how you liking the tent? =D

I have a 4x8 tent. I run a 600w HPS, 430cfm fan and my whole veg station on one 20amp circuit. I also run a 1000w on another 20amp circuit. I have no problems since I took them off them same 20amp circuit. Make sure you do not have stuff like microwave, coffee maker etc... on either of your circuits as they can trip the breaker when they come on. (I am no electrician: This is just my personal experience)

thanks bro for the advice. i had a electrician come install those two 20amp breakers there is nothing but the lights on them!

Watts divided by volts give u your amp load . So 1100watts on a 110volt supply is 10amps . I'm like Payton can't afford expensive controller's and have a cheap room thermostat switching my fan on and off as room temps rise and fall . I have never monitored rh levels nor have I had any problems . Is your fan still exchanging air when you're lights are off and the plant's sweat ? :)
