NewBoy420 1st 4x4 Tent Grow - Solis Tek DE 1000 Watts!

Hello friends i hope every one is doing well. I'm going to the circus today with my baby so i cant complain. Ok i have almost completed the new room just have to paint and divide the room up for a perpetual grow. I transplanted almost all of the girls from the cups to the big pots, I seen some people go from a small pot to a medium then a big pot. So I'm seeing what happens personally if i just went straight to a big pot. I think they will be fine. What do you guys think about that? I gave them there first nutes at 1/4 strength slowing going to work them up. I cranked up the watts to 750 and i think they like it. I feel like going to 1000w any pros and cons that any body can share? I also got some OG clones and have started to LST them. Thanks you all have a great day

Hungaluz; Thanks my friend ill be honest not as easy as i thought it would be. still got lost to learn. I went to check on the girls this morning and toke one with them. When i opened the door man are they getting stinky!

I used to grow ghost train haze. Wish I still had it. I'm also interested in that Solis tek I've seen them used in big rec grows like 100+ 1000 watt lights. Curious what your final opinion will be once you harvest.

Hey there I'm subbed. I only read the first few pages as I'm busy. So this comment may have all ready been put forward. And I'm not in any way being a troll like I've been called in the past for trying to help.

Firstly 30% rh is a little low for seedlings let alone pants in veg. If you raise rh you will see faster growth.

Secondly all the long lengths of ducting and bends all over reduce airflow. You want as little ducting with smooth bends. Imagine airflow like water flowing. Because that's exactly what its like tight bends slow it down nice smooth bends keep it flowing.

Thirdly you want the carbon filter up high not low as heat rises.

Edit: 4th and final 1000 watt and 600 watt? Imagine how much light actually hits the leafs. Eg surface area of leafs. How many watts and lumens are being wasted hitting the floor of your tent or soil A simple 100 watt fluro will grow all them for a week or 2 and think how much you will save on bills.

I get my veg close to 80% rh

Less restrictions for airflow will create better efficiency and use of duct work for sure.

The Solis tek so far is kicking butt. The girls are loving it i cranked up to 1000w, mostly as a test run, to see what happens!

You and me both! i am thinking about going to led as the was my original plan, but again another test too see the differences!

1. Yes i did buy a Humidifier to resolve that issue. As other people have told me 80% rh for seedling, 40-50% rh for veg.

2. For the ducting i am aware that the more bends the less air flow. i had cut the ducting to specific lengths as when i mover to my grow room i will need them. I have tried to keep them compressed short but the tape seems just to fall off and i gave up on that. Only 3 more days before i move to the room. once up there all ducting will be nice and straight and at the turn i have the 90 degree elbow

You are right ignorant. I am a new grower so that is why i started this form, to get help and input.

You are right ignorant. I am a new grower so that is why i started this form, to get help and input.

I keep my veg between 70-80% it fluctuates in that area.

Bloom 45-55%

Its not set in stone to be honest. My rh fluctuates every 3 days because I'm a mean degoliator. And everyone grows differently. When I'm germing and new seedlings appear I keep my clone dome at 80% to 100% after a few days slowly harden them off by lifting the lid a few times a day. Then when I pot up and they are vegging I keep it at 70% buy I veg for about 6 to 8 weeks. And in that time I just let it drop 10% per week. And then in flower I just remove my humidifier and forget about rh. But that's a rough guide to how I do it. Mine usually swings 20% either way all the time because when I strip all fan leaves rh drops as there's no leaves sweating into the air.

Yes when I splashed water with nutrients in. Water evaporates and leaves nutrients behind.

I will post some pictures of it when the lights come on! that is what i thought i been keeping a close eye on the girls and they dont have any on them. its just on the walls. so took the humidifier out to see if that helps.
