Was wondering if anyone can help with what kind of pH meter and TDS meter is good? I was looking on Amazon but all the ones I looked at the reviews were just aful

I have a Hanna Groline and a Milwaukee 802 Id buy the hanna again, but it was expesive. If/when you do get a meter make sure you only use calibration liquids from the manufacturer

Mine was $400 its the wall mount version. But, hanna is the goods. Mine will map highs and lows in Ph, TDS, and temp. If i want it to. I bought it because one solution calibrates everything, the name is a good one, the display wont mess up my photoperiod, and its so damn easy.

Yeah for me to get one I was looking at will add another month on my grow which is worth it to me I do have one question the EC I know that pH is important and TDS but how do we change the EC if it's not right?

Use TDS and forget about EC. Electrical Conductivity is just a number given to how electricity flows through water. It changes with the amount of particles (nutrients) that are in the water. Most meters allow you to use one or the other

My definition of EC is pretty sad. Take a moment to look up measuring EC and TDS Total Disolved Solids on line. its pretty interesting. You can use EC or TDS but you wont need both

I used the pH drops for some time, these are from General Hydro, they work pretty well as long as your nutes are not really dark.
Most ph pens on amazon under about 60 bucks are garbage. I've had two that would not even set to a two point calibration. I've been using a Blue Pen and their calibration fluids and I like it so far, but I did calibrate on tuesday and the pen was .4 off on thursday. I would recc this pen as long as you calibrate each time before mixing.
You can get a couple clean ball jars, dump some calibration fluid in the jars and use it for a few weeks so you don't contaminate the larger volume of check fluids in their original container.
