New City Grower 1.0

Re: New City Grower

Up potting is very important, your growing roots at this time during veg. I start with solo cup - 1 gal smart pots then 5 gal smart pot and veg a another week to grab hold then flip. If vegging longer then up pot into 15 or 20 gal smart pot to finish flowering.

Re: New City Grower

This is one I'm interested in. So foxtailing is a bad thing?

Re: New City Grower

secondary growth on a bud? could be caused by heat, ferts, or just the strain I do believe
Looks like a winner here. Agreed?

Re: New City Grower

well yes it is a bad thing but it depends on the amount of foxtailling, a small amount will do no harm but usually when u use low level lighting to flower (cfl's T5s etc) u can get quite large foxtailing. mostly its harmless but its costing u bud density and trichs.

Re: New City Grower

err similar to the answer just after the question came out?

Re: New City Grower

Question #5 Foxtailing is when a cannabis plant in flower produces new pistils and calyxes that extend from the buds, this gives the appearance of a foxes tail.

There are several reasons why a plant may experience foxtailing
1) the plant has been flowered for a long time.
2) the plant is grown in high temperatures.
3) certain strains seem pre disposed to foxtailing.

Re: New City Grower

I have something I'd like discussed. Lately I've been reading a few post mentioning that trichomes are not always the most important way to go about deciding when your cannabis plant should be chopped. I really didn't understand what the other factors might be. Can anyone elaborate on this?
