i would say min 5 gal for an 8 week veg but i find that can be rootbound in 6 weeks so u really want min 10 gal. But a valid point made earlier is that it would depend on light source and environment. try vegging a lant 8 weeks under a 250w cfl, it will never fill a 5 gal pot. i go off min 600w hps.

It depends on plant size which takes many factors into account mostly genetics. I stick to 1 gallon per foot of plant height.

What if you have 1 foot high plant, but 40+ tops?

I would recommend starting in a 5-7 inch plastic pot,then3 gal thru veg,5-7 in flower.
I give #4 to CannabisMeds.

Good point. i dont grow real tall plants, rather short and bushy. 6 weeks veg:

topped and fmmd, and ive deliberately slowed its growth.
