:welcome: Stage and bluez. You're just in time to see last 2 sativas finish. I will probably keep this journal alive you'll just have to look at some hybrids until I flip the jamaican plants and the Dr. Grinspoon.

I harvested the Congo yesterday and flipped a Grand Daddy Purple. I will get some pics up soon but the Panama Haze is really getting fat now. I'm worried she's going to start snapping branches. Malawi is building nicely too but I think will finish with loose fluffy buds that are coated in resin. I did cut a panama tester when I took the congo :cheesygrinsmiley:
 
All caught up. Mad respect on running theses Sativas. There is a guy on IG that runs Sativas. One of my favorite accounts to watch. He waxes on about Sativas just like Neiko and Doc. @highly_selassie. You'll love that account.

Keep running those Sativas. Some body's got to keep em going.
 
Sativas are where it's at. Someday the general public may catch on, but I think people are just too interested in the quick turnaround and heavy hitting buzz of indica. I'm slowly educating my friends, however. Now I just need to get them growing fat buds like your congo. I've skipped over that one in ace's catalogue, but I'm thinking it needs a second look after seeing yours. Excellent job Neiko!

I am totally impressed with the Congo, she is getting run again for sure. I had a sample from a couple weeks ago and it was very promising. It tastes like candied flowers, very sweet. The potency is there for sure and the buzz was fantastic. She went 75 days from flip. Here is a couple pics during harvesting, the amount on the rack was about 1/2 the yield. I'm guessing 6-7 zips. I will do a better update in a few days but here is the panama haze and a bad pic of malawi from a few days ago too.

Dang neiko you are killing it. Now you've got my attention on the Sativas. I've never tried a sativa but have always wanted to try SLH.

These landraces look awesome...and that Congo :thedoubletake:
 
Damn Neiko, she's a beautiful haul. Someday...... I need to learn to grow bigger yields or faster harvests. Maybe a combination of both. You make the Congo sound irresistable. Candied flowers...... Sweets with health benefits. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Man there is nothing like a really good sativa! Especially the ones that don't cause panic or anxiety....like the panama haze I am sampling now. I cut a little sample but it's still a few weeks away from being done, so if it was going to cause some anxiety it would've. I'm really digging this buzz! Very electric, I'm focused and buzzing all over. I have no sense of time, I find myself staring at the screen lost in some distracting thoughts. It seems like I've been writing this for hours. Damn I'm high.....I must continue this later.

Dude. This right here makes the long flowering time worth it to me. Now I want to steal Duggan's delorean and go into the future a few months.

Ween, why don't ya consider tryin 'Lilly' from delicatessen seeds. She's pretty close to 100% Sat. and has a really nice day time buzz, ...nice and clear , especially in our soil...:thumb:

Thanks for the suggestion Duggan but they're out of stock. I'm thinking about popping a couple alien abductions, hybrid and the 1st strain I grew but in non kit soil so want to see how it does in kit soil. Will take other full sativa suggestions.

Oh, what about Durban Poison, it's a lot of Sativa too! I think Nis and Canna had one, one of the gang anyhow. DP has a really nice flavor too. These ideas are not the long flowering kind OK, otherwise there are some real beauties out there to grow. ACE seeds (sponsor) has a very nice selection of favored Sat's. Neiko , Ziggs and a few others have had great success with ACE stuff. Doc's growin a couple nice Sat's. too, Columbian and ??.

Yup we grew a Durban poison. One of my favorite smokes as it completely clears my head from all negativity. It's actually relaxing being it is so "clear".
 
I gotta tell y'all how nice it is to see people talking about the sativa high so objectively and naturally. :Love:

It's been a constant battle for me, with the people around me and many of the growers here, to get them to focus on the character of the high. The vast majority of smokers want something that tastes great and is really stoney. :straightface: I get offered stuff that blurs me out within minutes and I wonder what's so fun about it. Y'know? :hmmmm: Now I feel tired. Whee ... :straightface: Or I could smoke something that gets me really high and wide awake. I have SO much more fun when I'm wide awake, y'know? Ergo, sativas.

But I do get why that wouldn't be true for everyone. What I don't get is why hardly anyone even knows what a sativa high is like, or often even what it is.

Sigh.
