Hey my fellow growers it’s time for an update!
Anyways, the ladies continue to plug along nicely. Since my last update Skunk #1 and Cheese have had their 4 mains tied down to continue their quadline training and I’ve done some more selective defoliation to get the nodes in the center some more light.
Took a quick shot of Skunks under carriage so you can see how she is shaping up and I’m quite pleased with the results.
Some of her secondary branches are getting stronger now so I’m hoping in a few more weeks they will be big enough to be flipped to flower.
I transplanted Gz#2 to a 3 gallon fabric pot last night, she completely drying out her 1 gallon pot in a day so it was definitely time. I’ve decided she won’t get the quad treatment and will probably do a bit of lst with her. She has 6 nice strong tops so I really can’t complain considering I’ve only topped her once and that’s pretty much the extent of the training
Gz #3 has been topped since the last update and that’s about it! Just waiting for her to tell me it’s time for a transplant. She won’t be quadded either probably just some lst.
( forgot the above shot oops)
Gz #1 is still chugging along. Her secondary’s are nice and strong now and if all the ladies looked like her I’d be ready to flip! I have tried to tie her mains down some more but there is way to much resistance and I don’t want to risk breaking one of her mains do I’ve left her alone other then cleaning out some of the smaller under growth to keep her clean down under!
Too finish off I’ve done something I’ve only done twice with mixed results... taken Clones of the Gorilla Zkittles girls!
It’s been 3 days since I took them and so far they seem quite happy and all their leaves are still green so that’s a victory in my book!
I’m trying something slightly different with these clones, I’ve filled the tray with about an inch of water and the brown coloured insert that you can see in the pic is actually for rock wool cubes but it keeps the plugs out of the water. The water creates a nice amount of humidity for them when the dome is on as well as keeps the plugs from drying out. As they get a bit further along I’ll add more water to the tray so it’s just under the plugs so they can soak up a bit of water from below to encourage the roots to go down to find the water source. I should also mention I have a heat mat under the tray to keep them toasty warm, I have a good feeling about turning my past clone failures around!
When I said in a bit I really meant 5 day’s later lol.more on that in a bit!
