N420 Grows Barney's Farm Orange Sherbert & Special Guests

Sorry to rain on your parade Gdb lol. Always happy to have you stopping by to check out the babies weather it’s suspenseful or not!
No problem, @N420. I like rain! :Rasta: When I saw your pic my first thought was, "Damn. How's he gonna' manage those in that space?"

Then when you revealed the "secret" I wondered what were you were going to do with all that other space? But I think I already know how some of it will be used. :laughtwo:

I’ve had that tent wall to wall plants on the first couple of runs a did with it and found it to be a lot of work, although I was running Dwc at the time so that probably had a lot to do with it lol.

I actually creeped the front row back an inch or 2 tonight so they have a bit more breathing room. I’ve had Powdery Mildew on the last couple of runs and I’m trying to avoid that shit at all costs! Making sure they have lots of air movement and your humidity under control goes a long way to keep that stuff away.

The other end of the tent that you don’t see has a dehumidifier and 3 small heaters keeping the environment in check. The trellis net I’m using is a 4x8, I hung half of it up and left the unused portion still attached in case I need to pull it out further! Now you know all my secrets...well the growing related ones anyways lol.

Thanks for sharing. There's a sense of intimacy between us now.

Hey Everyone.

We are on flower day 7! Not a whole lot new to report other then the ladies continue to stretch and have filled up the space nicely.

I continued my Veg feed for the first week to give them the fuel they need as they stretch their stems to get ready to support the flowers. Now that they are on day 7 and I’m starting to see the start of flower development I’ve given them the first dose of their flower food. They got 4ml / litre of Sensi Bloom A+B with 2ml/ litre of Bud Candy and Voodoo Juice.

Something I haven’t mentioned before is I’m altering between feeding and plain ph’d water this time in an effort to reduce the salt build up and not overload them with nutrients because of how frequently I’ve had to water. Both Gz 1 and Gz 2 are drying their pots in 24 hrs and the rest of them every 2-3 days which makes sense because both Gz 1&2 are much bigger plants and I’d almost say to big for homes, I’m not planning on transplanting them though I’m just gonna ride this out!

I’ve added a second light to the tent to get some better coverage as I slowly move the 3 plants in the front row away from the 2 in the back. I have it dimmed down to 50% as not to overload them with light but will be slowly turning up the intensity as they get used to it.

Isn't that the default setting by now.

Hey N. How's things? All looking good with the GZ's. Good to see you have the net ready to catch them before they flop.
:passitleft:
Hey Prof good to see ya! Things are going well, work is crazy busy these days for me and Mrs.N and it’s the usual family busyness as well but everyone is healthy and happy so that’s the main thing.

I thought this time I would try to be more preventive then reactive with the Gz’s and their floppy branches, so far they are staying pretty steady so I may just luck out. I have a hard time remembering when they started flopping around the first time I grew them but I’m pretty sure it was quite early into flower.

:ciao: Hh! How are you this fine evening. Just Came upstairs from the tent after giving the girls a feeding and to raise the lights again. I can definitely see some more flower development now, didn’t think to bring the phone with me so no pics but will probably grab a few tomorrow.

Hey Everyone

I know I promised some flower pics but since the lights in the flower tent don’t come on for another hour so I thought I would show a clone pic!

There are the Gz clones just trucking along! There are only 4 left out of the 8 that I took, I gave 3 of the Gz 3 clones to a buddy, I wasn’t interested in keeping that particular pheno because she is smaller then the Gz 1 and 2 phenos but he was quite happy to have them. A couple of the other clones didn’t end up rooting so I tossed them but I got the 4 plants I wanted so all is good. Probably going to be up potting these girls soon and get started on topping!

In other news I’ve had to switch nutrients suddenly! I can’t get my base flower nutes anymore, they have been pulled off the shelf because of an ingredient in them that Health Canada does not approve of, this according to the guy at the grow shop I buy all my gear from, I searched around online and couldn’t find it anywhere. It’s a little frustrating because I was quite happy with how the plants were looking but it is what it is.

So with all that being said I’ve decided to switch over to Flora Flex! It is a simple 2 part powder food with no additional stuff needed other then 1 optional supplement for late flower that I may pick up closer to when I need it. It is substantially cheaper then the stuff I was using before and only having 2 parts to mix should make watering time a lot faster.

Flora Flex. The name draws you in! :Rasta:

Those are happy looking clones! And :goodluck: with the new food regimen...hope it works for you.

I have found that most folks you give clones to don't complain about the phenotype.
Thanks Shed! I made a couple of boo boos with the clones early on, should have fed them earlier then I did they yellowed up a bit but we are back on track and lesson learned!

He was quite happy, I owed him for helping us out when we were dankrupt lol. He might complain about the pheno if he knew what the other options were lol

Those are some happy looking clones N! Good luck with the new nutes, that sounds nice and simple. I’m in the market for simple, so I’ll be watching.
Not being able to get the base nute I was using is a bit of a blessing in disguise! I have actually been thinking about switching but was a bit to comfortable with the line I was using, this has given me the push I needed to take the leap!
