N420 Grows Barney's Farm Orange Sherbert & Special Guests

Hey everyone!

Let’s start off with a look at the clones

7 days since I took the cuts this is what I found last night.

Roots! Those pictures are from last night and at the time of the pics there were 3 showing roots, as of this morning 6 of the 8 clones had roots poking out of their rooters! This new way I tried for cloning has worked out fantastic, I will definitely use this technique again.

In a nutshell, I kept water in the tray with the clones suspended above in the brown tray. The water in the tray with the heat mat below created a perfectly humid environment for the clones early days. I kept the vents closed on the dome for the first 3 days, on day 3 I cracked the vents open to lower the humidity slightly which in turned caused the rooters to dry out a bit.

The following day the plugs needed to be moistened again so I filled up the tray with enough water until the rooters were just touching it to soak up a bit of moisture for a few hours. I then took the water level back down again so the plugs weren’t sitting in water so they didn’t get overly saturated. I repeated the bottom watering one last time on day 6 and the next day I had roots!

The vegging girls are just cruising along, we are going to be flipping to flower this weekend :cheer:

Im pretty excited honestly, I haven’t had a run of flowering ladies in months!

Here they are.

Wow on the quick clone roots, N420! And your plants look super! :Rasta:

Grats on the clones....great job. One of the most gratifying things of growing, to me, is cloning. Seeing roots poking out is a relieving Yus!

Everything looks ready for flower and the plants look awesome. Flip er and rip er!
:bravo:

What happened to the bottom of your tent? Were you transporting hazardous materials in there? Did any of it spill on your toe?

Appreciate it Gdb! I’m really impressed with how quickly these clones pushed out roots! I’m gonna be getting them in some dirt soon and giving a couple to a buddy!
Beautiful work all around N! :bravo:
Thank you Hh! I’m pretty happy with how things have come together on both fronts, now begins the most fun part, flower time!!
Veggers look spot on for flowering and yowza on those roots! :welldone:
Thanks Shed! The veggers are basically ready for prime time I just have to clean up a couple of them before the flip!
The clones have worked out great, well enough that maybe Mrs. N will let me order those pricey seeds lol.

Thanks Bvb! It’s a real sense of accomplishment to get clones to root especially for me because my cloning efforts in the past have not gone so well but I’m feeling pretty confident now!

That’s the plan my friend flip those girls and watch them rip it up!!

That was caused by Ph down or Ph up can’t remember which. It was from adjusting my ph when I was running the Dwc buckets, I would put a few drops in the bucket then stir it around with a stir stick to mix it in before testing again. There was a concentrated ph mixture on the stick and laying it down on the tent floor ate threw the top layer of the liner!

The toes are the ruins of some nail polish from my daughter painting my toes!! I let her paint the toes all she wants just nothing on the finger nails allowed lol.

Each time you take a clone, it really makes the price lower and lower each time, until they’re practically free! ;)

Lmao, I was hoping that’s what it was! The alternative would be a painful story I probably didn’t want to hear! :laughtwo:

You got that right Hh, the more you clone the cheaper the seeds become! I even have to sell it to myself I don’t usually spend that kind of money on seeds lol.

No painful story about the toes unless you count me leaving the house wearing sandals and forget they are painted until someone says “ hey buddy nice toes” lol

Hey Everyone!

Just popping in to say we flipped to flower on Sunday! They have already filled the space that I had between them and have started to stretch a little. I put my trellis net up about 18 inches above the plants and installed it a bit loose so I can move it up or down as they grow into it, once they are done stretching I will put it in the final position and tighten it down.

Here they are!

It’s a flip party!! :theband:

:party::party:
Yeah!! I’m pretty excited Hh! Drinks are at the back of the room next to the popcorn and cheese poofs!

So far so good, the 3 gallon pots are working wonderfully with a 2 day turnaround before they need a water again! It’s still early days I can tell these girls are gonna keep me on my toes watering a the right times.

Looking good in there @N420!

Things are going to be tight. :Rasta:

My girls are stretching vicariously through yours.

Thank you Gdb! I got a little secret to share with you... they are actually in a 4x8 tent that I’m only using half of! So far they are playing nicely and staying in their own lanes but I can spread them out more if need be. I still have one more Hlg light I’m not using ,while it’s not as big as the one they are flowering under it gives me some flexibility if things get to cramped!

I’m living vicariously through you

Very nice N4. You've got all your techniques down pat. You're like the utility player who can do everything, but just not making the kind of money they do. :bravo:
Thanks Mr.S what a nice complement especially from you! I’ve been learning a little more with every run and making small improvements along the way. I owe a lot of what I have learned to this great site and the amazing members here!
Perfect time to flip N: when they are looking healthy, flat, and green!
Thanks Shed! The training has really paid off and so far they have responded well in the early days of flower. Will still probably have to put my plywood plant stands under the ladies in the front row but we will have to wait and see!

By "we" you mean you and the Barbies?
Yes!

Well that removes a lot of the suspense for me!

No matter, I still want to watch those babies grow. :Rasta:

Sorry to rain on your parade Gdb lol. Always happy to have you stopping by to check out the babies whether it’s suspenseful or not!
