Doing it 'right' isn't the question so much as doing it in a way that works for you.
You aren't behind. A wizard is never behind. He arrives exactly when he intends to arrive
I would NOT go for a second seed right now. It is a lot easier to have 'extra' space than an 'extra' plant. You want to maximize your yield, but you don't want to have to mistreat or kill plants because you have no space.
Take the time to consider the plan that I spelled out (with minor changes from PeeJay's plan)
Do you have enough pots of the right size for 8 plants in the flower tent?
At what size and age will you be transplanting your baby plants into ther final pot? (I take about 30-40 days, but my plants grow slower)
Do you have enough more large and small pots for the plants outside the flower tent?
- You have enough experience to answer these questions!!!
How many days old are the plants that just went into the flower tent?
Will you transplant, water and light future plants about the same way?
Would you be happier with plants a little younger, or older going into the flower tent? (older is larger, but might be too large.)
- You have enough experience to answer these questions too!
Thinking about these things will answer your question about whether and when to plant more seeds.
Also, since you have new girls in the flower tent, in 2-3 days you need to start watching for males or females again.
