My First Time Growing

I don't care about the plants in regards to PJ, I'm just worried at how long he's been gone. His last post was on the 26th of last month.

I agree. He is my sensei as well and as I bring my first set of girls under his guidance into harvest it would be cool to see him around. I sure hope all is well with the Sprout. He sure helps a bunch of people out there and maybe that karma will keep him safe. Hope so.

Bob ;)

It seems to me that in the flower tent you have all the area under the lights filled? Is that so? Or is there room in there. I don't like to crowd in flower too much because the plants just stretch out trying to outcompete each other. Your two that are already in there would probably not stretch but anything new would definitely overstretch. Unless there is some unused space I am not seeing.

What you have is the best kind of problem to have. A full flower tent and too many plants to go in haha. That is my current situation. I have 10 in flower for another month and over thirty in the veg room. For me, my solution is to trim any large veg plants back. It makes them smaller and also stunts their new growth about a week. The plants under the white light look like they should have some visible mature preflowers if you look at the nodes (branch points). If any are male we can just ditch them and make butter with the leaves.

I will try defol the ones in the lower bookcase then. I just have to be careful because it will be the first time I did it without them in flower and not being sure where the flowers will be.

Can you physically fit Jordan, or both of the plants in the bottom of the cabinet into the flower tent?

I'd like to have a better look at girls in the tent, if possible. I know picture taking is a difficulty for you.

Can you take a picture a few minutes before the lights come on, or a few minutes after the lights go off?
If not, can you turn off the tent lights, take a couple of pictures, then turn the lights back on?

The idea is to see how bushy the lower part of te plants are - from the same distance as your photo above is fine.
It might help us visualize how the plants can share light.

No problem, I will take a pic with the lights off in a few minutes, I just hope they come out since the camera has no flash, The only camera I have that takes decent pics is an older cellphone with no light. (Posted new pic, it's on the next page)

O.K. The pic came out (I now see I have to level my light a little, never noticed that before). The tent is 4' wide and should have no problem putting a plant or 2 in it now that I removed the box and suspended the fan. Here's the pic

I definitely have room for another plant and the light looking so far to the right is an optical illusion, it's actually closer to the left side of the tent than the right. I know it's a little blurry, but I took 4 pics and chose the clearest one.

new pic is posted. except for a little blurriness, it came out OK.

Oh Good Lord... You have room for a forest in there.. Let her rip tator chip....:high-five:....:circle-of-love:

Thanks Dennise! That's all I needed to know, I was away for a little bit though because my wife just had an insulin reaction. Not apologizing, just explaining.

My thought exactly

He can grow a friggin' forest !!!! LOL

--- Grow Jordan and the other girl, when ready they can fit right in!

Will do Rad, Thanks! I didn't think room was a problem, just whether they were ready, but my plants grow so frickin fast, It must be the water here or something!

Unfortunately, She's type 1 also but brittle as well. No matter how much she watches her blood sugar she can't get it under control and it goes low for her most of the time (this time was 38) and I had to give her a little sugar water and then she ate some cotton candy. When it's low like that she gets belligerent as all hell and will only drink or eat in small portions so O.J. won't cut it (we've tried). She's been a diabetic for 36 years now and fortunately is in good health as well mostly because her blood sugars go low rather than high. I hope you have good control of your blood sugar.

Nope.. Been brittle my whole life... I am however blesed to be on an insulin pump... it doesn't stop the highs and lows (40-400 any given day) but I can immediately correct them which makes a huge difference in long term affects... as I'm sure you know....:circle-of-love:

I know what you mean, But since she's so brittle she can't get the pump because (according to her Doctor) it won't adjust fast enough to keep her from having a lot more reactions (because it happens almost every day or 2 now) and we couldn't afford to keep that much Glucagon in the house for the really bad ones that happen with juvenile diabetes (although she got hers when she was 29 and pregnant). Does weed help your diabetes at all? I'm just asking because I have been hoping that it would help her too and since your type 1 also, I figured you would be the perfect person to ask.

I think they are definitely ready, if you wait too long they could stretch too much in flower.

Thanks Shiggity I will put them in the tent as soon as I can get my son to give me a hand. That works perfectly because PJ and I have been shooting for a perpetual so I'll always have my meds when I quit the narcotics.

As far as regulating it... I really can't say I have figured out a way to do that... does it affect it (I never know if it effect or affect anyhow) most certainly... and with your wife I would be very careful with that because in my case... some strains lower it... I have a natural drop about 3pm... if I hit a joint or the bong or whatever around 3pm... 9 times out of 10 I will crash... I'm one of the lucky ones too in that I don't get mean and I have been walking and maintaining as low as the 20's and as high as 1000... Now mind you it sucked on both ends of that spectrum and the higher one I was in DKA but I was up walking and talking and got myself what I needed to correct the hypo and called an ambulance for the hyper blah blah blah... I am so sure you guys have been there done that... My mom used to get really mean when her's would drop... She blacked my brothers eye once and if you had known my momma you would know how funny that is... She was the sweetest little lady in the south.. Your a good man to take such good care of one of us.. it can be challenging at times I know..:circle-of-love:

You mentioned crashing and having to call for an ambulance. Has your Doctor ever prescribed Glucagon? When my wife crashes really bad, I give her a shot of Glucagon and within 10 minutes or less it brings her right back out of it. She still has to eat something afterwards because in a couple of hours she would crash again if she didn't. But the Glucagon keeps us from having to send her to the hospital.

Whoops, I just read your post again and realized your problem that makes you go to the hospital is high blood sugars. Sorry for the confusion, I thought you meant hypoglycemia as opposed to hyperglycemia.
