My First Time Growing

Things are looking great Smokey, in your spare time you may want to read through Cannafan's Blog Entries, lots of great info in there. As I've been learning here on 420 Mag, if I find something interesting I would blog it so I could go back and re read them at a later time.

It won't be long Smokey and you'll find yourself on somebody's journal helping just like these fine folks are helping you.

:Love::cco::Love:

Side Note: Congratulations for getting extra seeds to keep things rolling.

I just reread what you wrote. I didn't realize I could read someone else's blog. I will definitely look into that. Thank you!

I saw about the amnesia and I was happy. Sorry if I missed responding to it. I'm at my desk a bunch working on grant proposals right now. It's a PITA. You sprouted it the way you did your first seeds - soaking it in water until it popped a root.

:high-five:

Been meaning to go back and make sure it wasn't the auto seed. It ain't. That's the Jock Horror. Getting more difficult to go back through 60 pages and find stuff.

You are so much closer to being able to try cannabis regularly as a solid narc replacement than you were back in early January when you started this journal!

Aside from the help you get, I swear, you have a green thumb you never realized you have...

I just try to keep things as simple as possible. The genetics can be complicated. Heaven help us if folks start talking about pH. The simple fact is you are on the fast track, have a green thumb, and are a likable fellow.

Check Cannafan's blog and mine, some great info. I really enjoy your journal smokey.

Thank You, I try to be a nice person. Always have. As far as a green thumb goes, I hope so, but it's looking like your right about it. I have a hard time believing that I grew these plants! One of the best things about this (besides learning something again!) is how relaxing it actually is. It's helping my depression just growing let alone when the results are in. I'm hoping it helps with the majority of my medical problems too. What little I am able to get my hands on now hasn't allowed me to know what it will do for my other medical problems too. I know it helps the pain, But have high hopes about depression, sleep, P.T.S.D. and hypertension to name most of my physical ailments besides my back and neck. If it works the way I'm hoping, I will be able to quit taking more than just my pain meds and quit taking non narcotics also.

I know that Indica strains (I think I have that right, I recently started reading about the difference between Sativa and Indica) should help me sleep and the Sativa's should be more uplifting (if I don't have it backwards), but I know both can help me. I am just stoked to be able to see the future and it is me quitting a lot of meds. Some just treat things like hypertension or insomnia from the pain. But I'm hoping that the grow will help me to cut back or quit taking most of the non narc's too.

I'm rambling, sorry. I took my sleep meds and need to hit the sack. I'll be back tomorrow. Night!

Way back in the day when you were doing paramedic training, Smoke, I suspect that you had to do some biology, anatomy/physiology, chem. On the job it was more practical experience and there were a ton things in those classes that didn't really matter. Biochem... Love me some biochem and metabolism.

Doing my darnedest to watch out for the bug-a-boos and will fill you in as time goes on, or, I'm not at my desk checking 420 Mag frequently. Right now, it's all about watering technique, a solid whole food nutrition for plants growing medium, enough light, decent climatic environment, and space management.

Your curiosity is delightful. The aforementioned basics are the core. The gory details about why what you're doing is working (aside from your increasingly apparent green thumb) are not that important at this juncture. A person can learn how to bake a bad-ass cake without understanding how the texture of the cake is influenced by the protein content of the flour, how added saccharides effect starch gelatinization, the properties of different leavening agents...

Focus on the core, learn the whys as you go along. You're doing an excellent job of both.

This community and it's incredible members don't help with the insomnia either.

Just one more page, ok just one more post, well I gotta reply to that... Ok don't refresh and just go to bed already

Thank god for the impending site outage. :)

Easy memory phrase:

Indica - In da couch

Indica - In da couch

Couchlocked - being blissfully slumped and/or snoring and you don't want to get up.

Indica - In da couch

Everyone is welcome here as far as I'm concerned. And of course, It's always a pleasure to "see" you Truckin'! I don't have a clue why people like this journal, It's just a newb with a lot of questions trying to figure stuff out and learn the best way to grow, O.K., I do get it. The pro's that stop by here are what makes it special! I just want to thank all you "guys" for all the help. You ALL seriously ROCK at growing and giving support to a broke down, financially challenged dude like me! Sleep well Truckin'!

Good Morning Mr. Smokey!
Hope things are well for you today and you got some sleep?

How did the trip to Home Depot go, did you get the plywood all taken care of?

Say Hi to the Mrs. :circle-of-love:

Happy to do so Sis! Will let her know after she has her coffee (Yech!) We never got out yesterday. Neither one of us was feeling particularly energetic (layman's term, we didn't feel like doing crap.) The plan so far is to go today in the afternoon. I slept great last night. First time in a while actually without dreaming about my old job and getting (mildly) depressed. Damn I miss that place and the work! Hope you had a good night yourself!!

Awesome to see that your really enjoying yourself and hopefully everything will get better with time and a little something something. I had back surgery last year an I'm still on pain pills. They want to go back in and cut me up some more but I told them no. The only thing that works is my little happy plants.

David may it get a bit better every day. Some very slow Hatha Yoga and cannabis are the only things that helped me when I injured my right side quadratus lumborum (lower right back muscle). The muscle relaxers and pain meds I was prescribed were of little use. So I stayed on yoga and cannabis and it served me well. If you aren't doing yoga I highly recommend it. It is so gentle you don't even realize the progress you are making until you realize you just don't hurt anymore. Cannabis and yoga are like peas and carrots to paraphrase Forest Gump.
