My First Time Growing

I bought a 10x locally and it works with my camera. I hope the 40x I get does too. It should be here any day now.

I'm betting you will, I was so surprised and happy with mine and I can't imagine a big difference just between name brands. Assume your going to love it, I love mine now and wouldn't ever get rid of it!

Wow Smoke... Sure looks better than my first grow did....:bravo:...:circle-of-love:

But you didn't have you and all the others helping you on your first grow I bet! That's the reason my grow is going so good, it's you guys and all your help and advice! This grow is dedicated to all the people who helped me grow it (basically, everyone on my journal). It was just my hands but all of you guys's experience. Guys's sounds like a mob thing. Gotta come up with a better way of saying that!

I have a question about the clone I'm doing, It's in a bubble cloner and when I checked it today, She has 3 roots about 3/4 of an inch or maybe a little longer on her. At what point do I put her in soil? I don't want to do it too early and kill her, let alone wait too long. If someone could let me know, I would greatly appreciate it. :thanks:

Smokey I usually plant at 2 inches or more. When you do take soil and sit it in a bin of water to soak a good while. Then put some of that in the bottom of the cup leaving room for the clone. Place the clone in there and gently sprinkle soil around her roots so you do not break them. Then I let them get almost dry before watering. Because the roots are new I don't let it go fully dry the first time before watering. The clone will be fine after that. Congrats on the roots Smokey!

Thanks Shiggity, I appreciate the instructions and will use them, but is it time to plant the clone now with 3 roots or should I wait for more? I don't want to kill her since she is doing so well so far and am not sure that 3 roots could sustain her.

Since the soil will be wet and nice, as long as you keep an eye she should be fine. Give her a few more days just to let more roots grow and plant her. Let us all see a pic first!

Thanks Shiggity, I just didn't know when it as time to transplant the clone into soil. But I'll leave it a few more days in the cloner, But here is the pic of the clone as well as a pic of the truthband that's starting to get big in the bottom of the bookcase.

I'm probably mistaken, but does the Truthband look like it's starting to flower while under the 18/6 light cycle? I don't remember what Harley and Casey looked like when they were growing up, so here is an old picture of one of them

I don't know, but is that what an auto would do? I didn't try an auto intentionally, I even tried not to grow an auto. Thank you for any answers anyone can give me about it. Maybe it's just a different strain or I'm just to new to know the difference since I have never seen an auto. But I checked it (even though it's feminized) and found some very little pistols already.

Hurray! You have clone roots! Yippee. Success...I knew you would have it. :circle-of-love:

And don't you go to worrying about not having equipment to make oil. I didn't have any either, so made do with what I have right here around the house. No digital thermometers or magic butter machines at that time. ;-)
I'll start writing something up for you, when your'e ready to start. No worries bro.

Some of my girls in veg (non autos) have pistils too Smokey. They have been in veg almost two months now, so they believe they are mature. LOL It can happen with longer veg times and on certain strains, pre-flowers. Nothing to be concerned with, unless they go into full flower. If that truthband was an auto you would have had very active flowering by now.

JMHO

Can you take a pic of the roots on the clone Smoke......:circle-of-love:

I decided to get off my butt and do it now, So here is a pic of the roots! :)

BTW, the blue thing on it's side is just the bubbler from falling over from the movement. I put it back right after this pic.

Thanks sis (as usual you come to the rescue!), I'll let you know before I intend to make the oil, and thanks to everyone for all of the help with the cloning!

I forget Dennise....when I started my first Journal....Wasn't it Called "Newest of Noobs" and you came along a little later with "Newest of Newbies"....or vice versa?

I had sooooo much great help. TanR, KingJohnC, PeeJay (later on), Jay233...just to mention a few. And I was OCD on every little spot on a leaf or wrinkle.
Nowadays, leaf spot? Pfffffttttt...talk to me when you get a bunch of 'em. (that's what I tell the leaves)

Smokey, what is the highest proof Everclear that you can purchase in your state?

:circle-of-love:

Considering I don't drink and my wife just has a glass of wine at night, I have no idea. I wouldn't even be aware of where I could look to find out. And I just did a search to find out, but even though the titles say the proof on google hits, they don't tell you the proof allowed here. The only way I can think of is to look at the bottle while in the store.
